Chapter 85: Chapter 85 My Child
“Do you believe if I say that?”
Pei Yansi’s gaze constantly scrutinized her face, not missing any slight change in her expression.
She furrowed her brows slightly, “Why wouldn’t I believe it?”
“Since you’re insisting, why not have another paternity test? With a doctor I choose?” He pinched her chin, lifting her face to et his eyes, and said, “Just bear in mind, if you confess voluntarily, it’s different than if I find out on my own…”
“What exactly do you want?” Shen Heyu couldn’t hold back any longer, getting straight to the point, “Why are you so obsessed with finding out who Yuexue’s father is? What are you after?”
“So what if she’s yours, what if she’s soone else’s, do you want to take her away? She’s been raised by my side for so many years, do you think she’ll accept you?”
She fired a series of questions at him, but Pei Yansi remained unflustered, composedly replying, “It’s not about taking, it’s about receiving. And I plan to take you back too.”
When Shen Heyu heard his words, she was firstly stunned, then quickly caught on, scoffing with irony, “Take back? You think you can just take whenever you want? Let tell you, it’s impossible for to take Yuexue back to the Pei Family!”
Pei Yansi fixed his gaze into her eyes, “Are you admitting that Yuexue is mine?”
“Whether I admit it or not, like I said, it’s impossible for to take her back to the Pei Family. Even if you discover the truth, it’s of no use!”
Pei Yansi fell silent for half a second, his eyes landing on her small, accusing mouth that opened and closed with her words.
Her lips were tender and full, the shape beautiful, with a natural pinkish hue, very enticing.
During the six years she was away, he didn’t know how he had gotten by, often sitting alone in their once shared bridal chamber.
Miss her? He felt not, but didn’t miss her? On that, he felt the opposite.
It was a feeling hard to express, like countless ants crawling into his heart, especially at night, relentlessly gnawing at him.
It gnawed him until he ached, gnawed him until he was restless, every day longing for sothing. Until he saw her pulling their daughter through the airport, he finally understood what he had been yearning for.
He reached out, took hold of the back of her head, and pulled her into his embrace.
Caught off guard, Shen Heyu braced herself against his chest, unable to react as his kiss descended on her.
He didn’t give her any chance to escape, his hands also clasped the back of her head, regardless of how she tried to dodge, she couldn’t avoid his advances.
Six years had passed and they had beco strangers, yet sohow also more intimate, both rembering the marks they left on each other.
When he kissed her, his breathing tightened a notch, eager to conquer her.
Shen Heyu was kissed breathless, incapable of resistance.
After what seed like an eternity, he finally let her go.
As the force on her waist loosened, she scurried to a spot further away, sitting as far away from him as she could.
Pei Yansi didn’t do anything more to her but instead said indifferently, “Why have you returned to the country?”
“It’s none of your business.”
Pei Yansi was startled, that phrase again. In just a few short hours, she had already said it twice.
His gaze montarily stunned, he reached out to pinch her chin, turning her face towards him as he leaned closer and sternly said, “I don’t want to hear you say those words to again, especially not with that attitude.”
“It has nothing to do with you, then who does it concern? Lu Yi, Shen Jiangli?”
Shen Heyu glared at him with sha and anger, not uttering a word.
He continued, “If you won’t speak, I might as well forget, that paternity test six years ago – it was him who helped you cover it up, wasn’t it? The dical records I found at the hospital, confirming your miscarriage, who forged them for you?”
“Was it him? Or was it that damned doctor friend of yours?”
Heyu rebuffed, “Don’t you talk about my friend like that!”
“Wow, quite protective, aren’t you?”
Seeing her defend soone else with such defiance against himself, Pei Yansi felt a fire ignite within him.
Heyu glared at him, wordless.
Both fell into silence, the atmosphere in the car becoming sowhat tense.
After a while, the vehicle stopped in the garage of a high-class apartnt complex.
Pei Yansi, dragging Heyu out of the car, headed toward the elevator.
Heyu struggled, protesting, “What exactly do you want to do? Let go—I need to find Yuexue!”
“Don’t worry, Zhao Jin will bring her over soon.”
As Pei Yansi spoke, he had already pressed the elevator button. The door opened, and he pulled her in.
Heyu was taken to a large four-bedroom apartnt, with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides offering a clear view of the beautiful cityscape.
He settled onto the couch, stating, “You and Yuexue will live here from now on.”
“I won’t!” Heyu adamantly refused, “By what right do you decide this for ? If anyone should live here, it’s you and your mistresses!”
Saying this, she attempted to leave.
Pei Yansi frowned; that stubborn temperant of hers hadn’t changed one bit in six years. He stood up and strode toward her, “Where are you getting this nonsense about mistresses?”
He caught her hand, preventing her escape, drawing her to the couch, and overpowered her onto it, “I told you, do not make angry. I don’t like it when you defy .”
Heyu was pinned to the couch, incapacitated, her heart seething with hatred for him!
She looked into his eyes, “What do you call this? You clearly agreed to let go, and now you’re forcibly dragging back?”
Pei Yansi’s gaze darkened, “If you didn’t have a child, I probably might have let you go. But now it’s different; I won’t allow soone carrying my seed to wander out there.”
Heyu couldn’t help but laugh bitterly at his words.
He was about to say more when his phone rang.
He got off her, pulled out his phone, and Heyu, lying beside him, accidentally caught a glimpse of the caller—it was ng Ru, just like the last ti they t six years ago.
He didn’t answer the call. Instead, he hung up and then turned to Heyu, “You stay here for now. Soone will bring Yuexue over. I’ll co back later to be with you both.”
Heyu, infuriated by his statent, snapped at him, “What relation do you have with to say these things? Telling to stay here, what do you an by that?”
Pei Yansi’s brow creased, uncertain of how to respond.
Truthfully, he was also unsure of what he wanted—to simply keep her and the child under his control, in his world.
He didn’t answer her question but left the room. Before departing, Heyu heard the sound of the key turning in the lock—he had bolted the door from outside!
Heyu was livid, unable to tolerate his overbearing dominance any longer.
She fished out her phone to contact Aunt Ning, “No matter who cos, don’t hand over Yuexue!”
Aunt Ning replied, “Don’t worry, I understand. But if we do this, Yuexue might not be happy.”
Heyu sighed, “I’ll be back soon to be with her.”
She had to find a way to escape from Pei Yansi’s territory. Having finally divorced, she would not, under any circumstances, let herself beco entangled with him again!
