"Are you trying to sever ties with , to dissociate yourself from ?" Shen Heyu felt heartbroken when she heard Lu Yunlan’s words, because before this, they had been envied as best friends.

"You’re right, after what you did to and to my brother, and always going against my husband, why should I still consider you my best friend? It’s like I was blind before and saw the wrong person."

It turned out that Lu Yunlan had invited Shen Heyu to dinner today to break off their friendship, and on her way there, Shen Heyu had prepared a slew of explanations, wanting to clarify things.

Now it seed that these explanations were unnecessary because the real culprits were Chen Wenzhou and Lu Yi. Yet Lu Yunlan felt that Shen Heyu was the source of all the mistakes.

Since she couldn’t understand and couldn’t see things from Shen Heyu’s perspective, Shen Heyu didn’t need to force herself to continue being best friends with her. The real person who had been mistaken was Shen Heyu herself.

Lu Yunlan had no idea how Chen Wenzhou had threatened Yuexue’s life, forcing Shen Heyu to do things she was unwilling to do.

Lu Yunlan knew that Chen Wenzhou had poisoned Yuexue, almost causing Shen Heyu to lose her daughter at a young age.

It was clear now that her marriage to Lu Yi had been nothing but a sham, a child’s play, a marriage in na only.

Not to ntion, in that ga, how Lu Yi had persecuted Shen Heyu, but Lu Yunlan hadn’t considered Shen Heyu’s feelings at all, firmly believing that Shen Heyu was wrong.

Shen Heyu gave a powerless smile; she didn’t want to be Lu Yunlan’s best friend anymore.

But at this point, there were so things she couldn’t stop.

"Have you thought this through? Are you really going to forsake our friendship over two n?" Shen Heyu pressed Lu Yunlan for clarity, because the two n she chose could very well stab her in the back one day.

"Do I even need to think about it? One is my husband, and the other is my dear brother, while you are nothing but a stranger with no blood relation to ."

Lu Yunlan was decisive, and hearing these words felt like a rusty knife was plunged into Shen Heyu’s heart.

After all, they had been best friends for so long that suddenly wanting to cut off all ties was sowhat painful.

But seeing the expression of great vengeance on Lu Yunlan’s face, Shen Heyu felt that her pain was not worth it.

"If you’ve thought it through, then good, I hope the people you choose will one day choose you unconditionally and firmly." Shen Heyu was blessing Lu Yunlan, not mocking her.

But to Lu Yunlan’s ears, those words sounded very harsh.

"What do you an? Are you mocking ? Rest assured, my husband and my own brother will of course not betray , they are not outsiders like you."

Shen Heyu had nothing more to say to Lu Yunlan. She nodded, picked up her bag, and walked away.

Seeing Shen Heyu leave, Lu Yunlan threw the nu on the table next to her with force, and she no longer had any appetite to eat.

After leaving the restaurant, Shen Heyu had no appetite either. She was about to drive back when she unexpectedly saw Gu Siyu’s car on the street.

She checked the ti, confirming the date and ti. Gu Siyu wasn’t supposed to be at the hospital at this mont; why was he outside? Moreover, his car seed to be following another car.

Sothing was wrong, and Shen Heyu imdiately followed him, driving after him for a while until Gu Siyu’s car stopped in an upscale neighborhood.

Shen Heyu sat in the car, observing Gu Siyu’s vehicle when a fiery red Ferrari stopped diagonally opposite to it.

A young and beautiful woman stepped out of the car, her face resembling that of a doll.

Qin Jiu’er.

Does she live here? But why was Gu Siyu stealthily following her?

Shen Heyu carefully concealed herself, watching as Qin Jiu’er got out of her car and walked directly towards Gu Siyu’s vehicle.

To track Qin Jiu’er, Gu Siyu had even switched cars and was wrapped up tightly in the driver’s seat, making him nearly unrecognizable to those unfamiliar with him.

But Qin Jiu’er recognized him instantly, walking up to his car and knocking on the window.

"Following so obviously, you might as well just tell what you want to know, and I’ll tell you."

Gu Siyu sighed helplessly, took off his cap and mask, unbuckled his seatbelt, and got out of the car.

He looked helplessly at Qin Jiu’er, "It seems like no matter what I do, I can’t hide it from my ntor’s eyes. If I’m not mistaken, ntor, you shouldn’t be living here. What brought you here today? eting soone?"

"If you’re so curious, why not co upstairs with and see for yourself?"

Gu Siyu looked up at the residential building nearby and jokingly said to Qin Jiu’er, "If I follow ntor inside, I hope I co out alive."

Qin Jiu’er heard his joke, laughed softly, and looking at Gu Siyu, she tilted her head and smiled, "If you’re that afraid, then you shouldn’t be doing such dangerous things. After all, I really don’t like being followed."

As she said this, Qin Jiu’er’s peripheral vision swept over a car nearby; if she wasn’t mistaken, Shen Heyu was sitting in the driver’s seat.

She clearly knew Shen Heyu had followed them, but she chose to turn a blind eye, because it was Gu Siyu being followed, not soone else.

This situation had really turned into the mantis stalking the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.

Gu Siyu’s tracking skills were lacking; his eyes were only fixed ahead, forgetting that his own tail was being watched.

"What to do, though? I’ve done everything ntor disliked once through, and I don’t mind doing one more thing," Gu Siyu said as he closed the car door, clearly intending to follow Qin Jiu’er upstairs to find out what was going on.

"True to my own apprentice, let’s go then."

Qin Jiu’er began to lead Gu Siyu forward.

"But did you know you brought a little tail with you today?" Qin Jiu’er reminded Gu Siyu.

If she hadn’t ntioned it, Gu Siyu might not have noticed. Pretending to be casual, Gu Siyu glanced using the rearview mirror of a nearby vehicle and indeed saw Shen Heyu’s car not far off.

He furrowed his brow.

Qin Jiu’er teased him with a smile, "It seems you didn’t notice at all."
