Pei Yansi had grasped the full picture after reading the article. Chen Wenzhou had actually dared to target his daughter, a bold move indeed to ss with his beloved.
Just then, the car ca to a stop in the hospital, and Gu Siyu glanced at the rearview mirror. He saw the furious expression on Pei Yansi’s face; he looked as though he wanted to flay Chen Wenzhou alive.
"Since you know that Chen Wenzhou did this, what do you plan to do next? I’ve heard rumors that you and Chen Lingng have been planning to get engaged for a while."
Gu Siyu watched Pei Yansi’s reaction in the rearview mirror. Pei Yansi slowly lifted his head and looked into the mirror, eting Gu Siyu’s eyes.
"One does not get tiger cubs without entering the tiger’s den."
After Pei Yansi spoke, he gazed at the back of Shen Heyu who was seated in the driver’s seat. Noticing Pei Yansi’s scrutiny upon him, Shen Heyu unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car.
After stepping out, Shen Heyu took a deep breath of fresh air. What did Pei Yansi’s statent an? He already had an idea.
Gu Siyu understood Pei Yansi’s words, but he did not state it explicitly, hoping to hear a more definite answer from Pei Yansi himself.
"Weren’t you absolutely against getting engaged to Chen Lingng, preferring death over it? Have you finally made up your mind to get engaged to them?"

It was uncertain whether Shen Heyu and Yuexue would accept Pei Yansi’s approach.
Pei Yansi opened the car door and got out. He stood shoulder to shoulder with Shen Heyu, who kept her eyes closed, breathing in the fresh air.

Shen Heyu finally opened her eyes, closed the car door, and headed towards the entrance of the inpatient building. Pei Yansi hesitated before following her.

As Gu Siyu and Pei Yansi passed by, he left these words behind. Pei Yansi’s hands slowly clenched into fists; he was truly resolved this ti to bring down every mber of the Chen family.
Pei Yansi quickly followed, having not visited Yuexue for so ti since he last competed in cooking with Lu Yi and was subsequently shooed away by Yuexue, after which he had rely watched her from afar.

Pei Yansi was trailing behind, and as Gu Siyu entered the room without closing the door completely, he heard Yuexue’s joyful voice just as he approached the door.
Yuexue was thrilled to see Shen Heyu, happy to see Gu Siyu, and delighted to see both of them together.
Pei Yansi hesitated before pushing the door open and entering. Yuexue saw Pei Yansi, paused for a mont, and then said, "Daddy."
"Yuexue." Pei Yansi approached and raised his hand to ruffle Yuexue’s hair.
"Daddy, did you co because you were worried about ? I had a cold that led to so complications recently, so I’ve been in the hospital for half a month but caught a cold again a few days ago, so I’m back in the hospital."
"I’ve almost forgotten what ho looks like. I really don’t like hospitals and want to go ho as soon as possible."
When Shen Heyu heard Yuexue say this, he felt a particular ache in his heart and reached out to rub her little head.
"Yuexue, you will be able to leave the hospital very soon."

She talked in a babyish voice, and her face seed especially soft and tender when she laughed. "I am fine."
Pei Yansi felt a bit relieved hearing this, but the tension in his heart didn’t fully ease.
"Daddy will make sure you leave the hospital soon. How about we go to the amusent park and ride the rry-go-round, as you’ve always wanted?"
Yuexue nodded her head, then turned to look at Shen Heyu. "I hope Mommy can co with to the amusent park."
"Alright, when you are discharged, Mommy will go to the amusent park with you."
"We pinky promise." Yuexue extended her little hand, and Shen Heyu locked pinkies with her.
"Yuexue, won’t you also make a pinky promise with Daddy?" Pei Yansi looked at Yuexue, who also stared at him and, after a mont’s hesitation, shook her head.
"Next ti we go to the amusent park, can Uncle Gu co with ? That way, if I feel unwell, Uncle Gu will probably know right away."
Gu Siyu was caught off guard by Yuexue saying this, especially standing between Pei Yansi and Shen Heyu; the position felt a bit awkward.
If it had been earlier, Gu Siyu would have agreed imdiately since Shen Heyu was the person he had harbored unrequited feelings for so many years, but the situation with Song Miaoyu woke him up.
His initial love at first sight for Shen Heyu was just a feeling, but he had never actually communicated or spent ti with her before he soon went abroad.

"Yuexue, your Uncle Gu is very busy with work and might not be able to go to the amusent park with you." Seeing Gu Siyu hesitating, Shen Heyu quickly stepped in to smooth things over, affectionately rubbing Yuexue’s head.
Yuexue imdiately showed a face of disappointnt, actually quite fond of Gu Siyu; after all, he was handso enough to qualify as her daddy.
"Then I’ll just have to go to the amusent park with Uncle Guo next ti."
Following her words, Gu Siyu nodded, "Yuexue, rest assured, whenever Uncle Gu is free, he will definitely take you to the amusent park."
