Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Buying Drunkenness
“How can I not intervene? How could I not care when she openly bullies you? This is unacceptable; you must take to Bai Sheng’er!”
Lu Yunlan stord in, determined no to back down until she found Bai Sheng’er.
Shen Heyu was at a loss for words, but she couldn’t really take her to Bai Sheng’er. What would that look like?
But unexpectedly, Bai Sheng’er showed up on her own.
Holding a docunt in her hand, she paused when she saw a stranger in the office. Before she could react, she saw the person angrily charging towards her and slapped her squarely in the face.
The force of the slap was much heavier than the one Shen Heyu had delivered earlier. Bai Sheng’er staggered backward, nearly falling to the ground.

Covering her cheek, she truly cried out in pain, “Who are you, and how have I offended you?” She had been slapped today!

Greatly dissatisfied, she planned to complain to Pei Yansi and make this strange woman suffer, but she heard the person say, “I’m a friend of Director Shen, and also a partner of your Brother Yan Si. With that, she pulled out her phone and imdiately called the security departnt.
Before long, two security guards approached, intending to escort her out, but Shen Heyu stopped them, “She is the daughter of the Lu Family, a partner of President Pei. Who dares?”
The security guards paused, exchanged a few polite words, said so soothing things to Bai Sheng’er, and then left.
But knowing Bai Sheng’er’s connection with Pei Yansi, they didn’t dare leave outright. On their way out, they passed by Pei Yansi’s office and ended up complaining about the incident.
Pei Yansi rushed to Shen Heyu’s territory.
As soon as he entered, Bai Sheng’er saw him as her lifesaver, and threw herself into his arms, crying out, “President Pei!”
The office door was still open, so all the other employees could see her actions. They all froze, watching the drama unfold, wondering if he would push her away.
Pei Yansi remained composed, didn’t push her away, but he didn’t embrace her either. He just coldly looked at Shen Heyu, “What’s going on?”
Then he turned towards Lu Yunlan, “Miss Lu, isn’t it interesting that you co to my company to assault my employee?”
Shen Heyu imdiately responded, “I asked her to co. Whatever you want to do, direct it at .”
“Direct it at you? How would I do that?” Pei Yansi sneered mockingly. Was he supposed to hit her?
Lu Yunlan spoke angrily, “Your employee? Nice words, President Pei. Your own wife isn’t as important as one of your employees? In my opinion, if you can’t even protect your own wife, maybe you should get a divorce and let soone else do it.”
Pei Yansi, who wasn’t very angry at first, felt a heavy drop in his heart upon hearing her last sentence, “Who, your brother? Hmph.”
“No n needed, I’m enough!”
Lu Yunlan gave Bai Sheng’er a aningful look as she lay in his arms and said, “It seems like I’m doing quite well now.”
After she finished speaking, she didn’t give Pei Yansi a chance to reply and imdiately grabbed Shen Heyu by the arm, saying, “It’s almost ti to get off work anyway, let’s go, sis will take you to have so fun.”
Shen Heyu nodded, packed up her things, and shut down her work computer.
Pei Yansi saw that she had no intention of informing him and laughed out of irritation, staring at her as he asked, “Did I say you could leave?”
Before she could respond, Lu Yunlan took the lead, “What, just because she works at her husband’s company, does she have to strictly follow the clock-in and clock-out tis? Please, she’s not like the one in your arms, just a regular employee!”
She deliberately emphasized the words “regular employee.”
The biting sarcasm made Bai Sheng’er tremble, and tears stread down her face.
Pei Yansi noticed this and did not speak.
Shen Heyu consequently left with Lu Yunlan.
As the two of them exited the company and got into Lu Yunlan’s car, Shen Heyu imdiately cuddled into her arms, laughing, “You’re the best to . If he doesn’t want anymore, you’ll take and protect forever.”
Lu Yunlan stroked her little head, coaxing her with a smile, “No problem! I’ll take you to have fun tonight.”
“What kind of fun?”
“You’ll see when we get there.”
After driving for half an hour, they arrived at a bar nad “Lese.”

Initially hesitant, Shen Heyu, after singing a couple of songs, indeed started feeling relaxed and let herself go, singing and drinking rampantly with Lu Yunlan.
By evening, the two were thoroughly drunk.
Needing to use the restroom after drinking, Shen Heyu inford Lu Yunlan before heading out to the external facilities.
When she returned, she was so drunk that she staggered and saw double.
Suddenly losing her balance, she stumbled but didn’t fall as expected; instead, she bumped into a strong chest.
Startled, she looked up and through her blurry vision saw a tall man in a suit and shoes. She couldn’t make out his face clearly but rembered Pei Yansi by his height and attire.
Thus, she automatically completed the image of Pei Yansi in her mory and said, “Is it you? How co you’re here, are you here to take ho?”
Shen Jiangli, confused by the collision and hearing the talk of going ho, initially didn’t want to engage, but looking down found her beautiful.
Being a wealthy man who had been with many won, he thought of her as soone suitable for a night rendezvous and said, “Do you want to take you ho?”
Shen Heyu nodded, “You’re married to , you married , shouldn’t you… oh…”
She couldn’t finish her sentence as she suddenly vomited from her drunkenness.
