Chapter 368: Chapter 368: Pressuring

Shen Jiangli inexplicably left the madhouse, and no one knew, nor was there any news from the madhouse itself.

Behind this, there must have been a powerful person involved.

Han Manyin earnestly said, “You can’t possibly be unaware of this, Yansi must know about it; go find him, will you? Just to help out.”

“After my amnesia, the first person I woke up to was him,” Han Manyin, with tearful eyes, actually looked sowhat pitiful as she said, “All I want is to know his whereabouts. If you know anything, please tell .”

Shen Heyu looked at her strangely.

It wasn’t that she was unwilling to help, but she genuinely didn’t know anything about Shen Jiangli’s whereabouts.

Not to ntion Shen Jiangli, she didn’t even know when he had left the institution.

Seeing the expression on her face, Han Manyin seed to understand what she was thinking and took the initiative to say, “I know, Heyu, Yansi must know about this. I’ve been to see the head of the institute and checked the surveillance. The person that appeared around the madhouse was Zhao Jin—it really was Zhao Jin. Please, help .”

Han Manyin grasped Shen Heyu’s hand, as if the two of them had a good relationship all along. There had never been any quarrels or any discord.

Now, all she could think about was finding Shen Jiangli, making everything from the past seem trivial.

Before, Han Manyin didn’t know that she just wanted to use Shen Jiangli to climb up, but one day she genuinely developed feelings for him.

She couldn’t believe it.

But the pain in her heart after his departure was also real.

Shen Heyu felt extrely puzzled. She had asked Yansi about Shen Jiangli’s whereabouts, but he denied knowing anything.

She said, “Yansi said he doesn’t know either. He admits to everything he does, so he really doesn’t know.”

Han Manyin asked, “You still don’t believe the surveillance footage I saw?”

Her eyes were red, and her hands were trembling.

Shen Heyu quietly watched her, feeling sowhat disordered for a mont.

She knew Han Manyin had amnesia and couldn’t possibly harm her based on her previous mories, so her intent to find Shen Jiangli must be genuine.

Seeing her like this, Shen Heyu felt sowhat distressed.

After all, losing a loved one and continuously being unable to find them is unbearable for anyone.

“Miss Shen, are you alright?” proceeded a server’s voice from outside, eagerly urging.

Shen Heyu paused for a mont, then turned to Han Manyin and said, “I will look into this matter and find a way to contact you when I do.”

Shen Heyu thought about it carefully; Han Manyin hadn’t actually hard her in any substantial way.

Especially after her amnesia, she had kept a significant distance from Shen Heyu, always staying by Shen Jiangli’s side without much interaction with Shen Heyu.

Considering this, helping her find Shen Jiangli didn’t seem like a very difficult thing to do.

More importantly, Shen Jiangli and she also had a connection, and Shen Heyu couldn’t just watch him disappear, especially if he wasn’t taken away by the Shen Family; he might be in danger.

Thinking about Yansi’s possessiveness, Shen Heyu couldn’t feel at ease.

Han Manyin nodded, seemingly surprised that Shen Heyu agreed so easily. She picked up her clothes and, with her head lowered, said, “When the ti cos, find on Yunhu Road.”

After saying that, she lowered her head and walked out, taking a different route and not passing by Pei Yansi, nor was she noticed by anyone.

Shen Heyu looked at her retreating figure, still sowhat puzzled and unclear about where Shen Jiangli could possibly go.

All this ti, he and Han Manyin had been inseparable. No matter what, he wouldn’t just disappear without leaving any trace.

Even not telling Han Manyin.

Their relationship should have been mutually understanding.

As Shen Heyu was thinking, she heard Pei Yansi’s voice by her ear, “What are you thinking about? I called you many tis, but you didn’t respond.”

Shen Heyu looked up and saw that he had approached her at so point, standing right in front of her, slightly lowering his head, looking down at her.

His gaze was sowhat cold, his eyes deep, showing no hint of his thoughts, but from what Shen Heyu knew about him, she understood that he was not pleased at the mont.

Shen Heyu didn’t quite understand why, especially since she had already co to the bridal shop with him, being forced to try on wedding dresses.

This should have been in line with what he wanted, yet, why did he still look so displeased?

She shook her head, “I’m not thinking about anything.”

She looked up at him, worried he wouldn’t believe her and might continue to press her. So, in front of him, she twirled, holding up the hem of her wedding dress, and asked with a smile, “Does it look good?”

Shen Heyu was pretending, but her smile was just right and did not seem fake. However, Pei Yansi knew her and just by that look, he recognized her pretense.

Even knowing the smile was fake, Pei Yansi found it satisfying. He quietly gazed at her, stretching out his hand to gently caress her cheek, “It looks beautiful.”

The image of her in a wedding dress was sothing Pei Yansi had never really anticipated. When they had married, he hadn’t even attended the ceremony, and she had completed the wedding proceedings alone. Even now, Pei Yansi did not quite understand how she had gotten through it.

Reflecting on this made Pei Yansi feel guilty, and he wanted to make it up to her even more.

Seeing her in a wedding dress right now was an image he had never had in his mory, and truly, she was very beautiful in it.

Especially standing in front of him, about to beco his bride.

This filled his heart even more.

He looked at Shen Heyu and said, “You would be the most beautiful bride.”

Shen Heyu lowered her head, not responding to his words.

In fact, she was not happy at all. She was even thinking about how she could escape the wedding that Pei Yansi had arranged for her.

She didn’t want to marry him.

Right now, with Chen Lingng and so many others around him putting pressure on her, even the old lady who had initially encouraged her was now on Chen Lingng’s side.

Shen Heyu thought there was no longer any need for her to stay by his side.

She said, “Let’s go with this one.”

She didn’t want to spend more effort on trying on wedding dresses anymore. After all, she didn’t care much about it and was even less willing to try on wedding dresses for him.

Pei Yansi saw her expression; how could he not know what she was thinking? But he knew she was tired and didn’t press Shen Heyu to continue trying on more dresses.

He nodded his head, settled on the wedding dress Shen Heyu had chosen, and then led her out together.

Before getting into the car, Pei Yansi received a call from Zhao Jin, who said on the other end, “Miss Chen hasn’t woken up, but Mr. Chen has invited you to the hospital.”
