Chapter 157: Chapter 157 Hate Chapter 157: Chapter 157 Hate Pei Yansi unbuttoned the buttons.

Beneath them, he discovered a print of a pair of extrely intimate lovers kissing, engraved on the button.

The craftiness was quite obvious, but it was also ticulously cautious.

At this mont, he could see how much effort Shen Heyu had put into this, yet he had carelessly handed it over to Bai Sheng’er.

He even gave Bai Sheng’er full authority to deal with it.

It appeared that she was able to purchase this shirt when Bai Sheng’er decided to sell it at a second-hand shop, and she saw it there.

Therefore, she promptly revealed her identity to purchase it.

But why would she browse second-hand platforms? She wasn’t short of money. Though the relationship between her and him as Mrs. Pei was diocre, who was he to let her lack anything materially?

Pei Yansi wanted to try on the shirt without delay.

But seeing Zhao Jin still standing by, he glared at him, “Aren’t you leaving?”

Zhao Jin ca to his senses and quickly left with his head down, embarrassed. It wasn’t that he wouldn’t leave, but the expression Pei Yansi had just shown was one he’d never seen before, a bit rare, sad, and sowhat regretful.

How could he not take a longer look at such a rarely seen expression?

After Zhao Jin left, Pei Yansi fully spread out the shirt, compared it to himself, and it matched perfectly. He put on the shirt.

Once on, it fit even better, perfectly accentuating his already excellent physique, and particularly, the soft and comfortable fabric made him look even more luxurious.

One could tell at a glance that a lot of effort had been put into it, and that she was very familiar with his physique to achieve this level of fit.

Pei Yansi suddenly couldn’t describe what he was feeling.

He touched the buttons on the shirt, lost in thoughts.

Compared to his remorse here and his tumultuous thoughts, Shen Heyu had an even more restless night.

The things Pei Yansi had done last night had sohow changed her mindset.

Why did he do things so ticulously and on such a grand scale? If it’s said that it was just for a bit of hatred…

Shen Heyu was still pondering when suddenly her phone rang.

She reached for the phone on the nightstand and glanced at the ti. It was two in the morning, and the caller was Lu Yi.

Lu Yi knew she was away on a business trip, but he still called without considering the ti difference, likely sothing urgent.

She answered.

“Heyu, sorry for disturbing your rest so late, but I need your help right now.”

Lu Yi’s voice was filled with apology.

Shen Heyu said, “It’s okay, I haven’t slept yet. What’s the matter?”

“Currently, the Lu Family’s stocks keep encountering problems. The company has also been hit hard, and my father has been hospitalized due to soaring blood pressure. I heard you are with Pei Yan, and I also saw the news from ho.”

“You are with him now, right?”

Lu Yi only asked this, but Shen Heyu heard the careful tone in his voice. He was just asking whether they were together, but the underlying implication was that he wanted to push her to speak.

Just like last ti.

If there weren’t desperate asures, he wouldn’t co to her.

Shen Heyu rembered that she had already argued with Pei Yansi about this matter when she was in China, but it was of no use.

Not only did he not stop, he even intensified his efforts, and thinking about how Lu Yi’s father had been hospitalized because of this, she felt she was the chief culprit.

She hung up the phone, originally wanting to go over to see soone, but considering that he had probably already gone to sleep, she ultimately did not go.

The next morning, Shen Heyu got up early to find Pei Yansi.

She stood by the door, knocked, and when the door opened, she looked up and saw him wearing the shirt she had gifted him before.

She rembered that he had soone look for this shirt last ti, and to her surprise, he had actually found it and was now eagerly wearing it.

This piece of clothing was designed by her specifically according to his asurents, every inch of the fabric fitting him perfectly, and now, seeing him wearing it, she could clearly notice how well it suited him.

She had to admit, it fit him extrely well.

Shen Heyu had once imagined what he would look like in this outfit, but he had never worn it before, and now he finally did, though it was six years too late.

When Pei Yansi saw her standing by the door motionless, he waved his hand in front of her and said, “What are you thinking about? It’s startling to see like this?”

Shen Heyu quickly ca back to her senses, shifted her gaze away, and walked past him into his room.

As soon as she entered, she could sll the scent of a man.

He followed her into the room, not expecting her to co find him so early in the morning. He moved two steps forward, about to embrace her from behind, when he suddenly heard her say, “What will it take for you to let go of the Lu Family?”

“Before coming here, I told you to let Lu Yi go. Otherwise, I will join forces with him to deal with you.”

Pei Yansi, who had been in a relatively good mood, felt it turn gloomy in an instant because of her words.

He withdrew the hand he had extended to hold onto her.

He walked past her and sat on the sofa, silently lighting a cigarette without speaking, the smoke rings softening the sharpness of his brows and eyes.

Seeing his silence, Shen Heyu sat opposite him and said, “Why aren’t you speaking? Feeling guilty?”

Hearing this, Pei Yansi looked up, his eyes heavy as he replied, “What do I have to feel guilty about?”

“Let Lu Yi go.”

Pei Yansi said, “Why should I?”

His tone was icy cold, exuding an unmistakable arrogance and haughtiness—he intended to relentlessly crush Lu Yi.

Shen Heyu frowned, “What exactly do you want? The Lu Family ans nothing to you. What benefits would acquiring them bring you?”

“Do you still not understand what I want?” Pei Yansi sneered, “Do you really not understand, or are you pretending to be confused? I just want you.”

But she always spoke for Lu Yi, their relationship ambiguous.

He, Pei Yansi, even if discarded, as long as he did not give the word, who would dare touch him?

He said, “If you want to let him go, you can. Put on this ring and remarry .”

As he spoke, Pei Yansi took out the ring box he had with him last night. Shen Heyu had already seen the ring inside.

She tiredly pinched the bridge of her nose and said, “Stop joking, Pei Yansi, I’m not going to remarry you.”

“Then, I won’t let Lu Yi off so easily.”

“You said you wouldn’t force anymore.”

Clearly, the last ti at the hospital, when he forcefully kept her by his side, he had said that as long as she stayed obedient by his side, he wouldn’t lay hands on the people around her.

At this mont, Pei Yansi heard her and raised his eyebrows in surprise, “When did I say that? I don’t rember that, and besides, how could it be forcing you? Isn’t it just normally proposing to you?”
