Chapter 117: Chapter 117 Accident
Shen Heyu spoke coldly, “Before Yuexue grows up, I can agree to her living with you at the Pei Family ho, but I won’t compromise. Whenever I have ti, I will co back to be with her, but this doesn’t an I have agreed to anything from you.”
She was as unwavering as ever.
Pei Yansi watched her for a few seconds but didn’t speak. Yet in his unfathomable eyes, sohow, Shen Heyu felt a sense of panic.
She didn’t say anything more and walked away.
Pei Yansi watched her retreating figure, thinking that her current disagreent was only temporary.
He had learned from her the night before what she wanted.
He planned to move in that direction, to make her accept him.
Shen Heyu took Yuexue to the Pei Family, and after seeing that Pei Yansi had arranged everything properly, she didn’t stay any longer. There was a lot to do at her company, so she left first.
Back in the country for the first ti, work was busy as usual. That day, Shen Heyu, like any other day, had a dinner appointnt with a client in the evening.
When she successfully signed the contract, it was already eight o’clock in the evening.
She left the restaurant alone, planning to deliver the contract docunts to the company the next day.
But just as she got in her car, she received a call from Shen Jiangli, who asked on the phone, “Did you secure the contract?”
“Yes.”
“If you’re free now, bring it to . I will personally work on the project this contract involves to free up so of your ti to spend more with Yuexue.”
Shen Heyu didn’t refuse. After hanging up the phone, she turned the car around and headed toward the Shen Group.
She gave the docunts to Shen Jiangli and then ca out.
She walked to the company’s car park.
It was already after nine o’clock, and the car park was almost empty, with very dim lighting. Walking inside felt sinister.
Shen Heyu instinctively felt this setting was unsafe and intended to quickly get in her car and leave.
However, just as she approached her car, she saw soone suddenly rush out from the corner.
Shen Heyu froze for a second, then quickly realized that person was coming at her. She hurriedly grabbed the car door, attempting to break away and escape.
But the assailant was faster, grabbing her arm in one swift motion.
“Who are you, let go of !” Shen Heyu shouted.
As soon as she spoke, the other party pulled out a towel and tightly covered her nose and mouth. The towel was dosed with a drug, not much in quantity, enough to make one pass out but not harm one’s safety.
Shen Heyu struggled for a mont but inhaled more of the drug with each breath. Within two seconds, her body went limp.
Chen Bo saw the woman stop moving and then revealed a sinister smile, “You forced to do this!”
Saying this, he searched Shen Heyu and found the car keys, opened the car, stuffed her in the back seat, and then put on a mask and cap before sitting in the driver’s seat.
He slowly started the car and drove away.
He drove Shen Heyu’s car, and no one noticed anything unusual.
Chen Bo drove the car to a suburban area, to an abandoned factory.
He bound Shen Heyu tightly with ropes he had prepared earlier and, carrying her, dragged her out of the car and walked into the factory.
It was evident that the factory had been abandoned for a long ti; dark walls, broken bricks and tiles, and lots of indefinable, filthy garbage everywhere.
In short, the air was filled with a foul stench.
Chen Bo placed Shen Heyu on the ground.
He found a large oil barrel filled with wastewater discarded from the factory. The stench was unbearable as he sloshed the foul liquid over Shen Heyu’s body.
Drenched with an icy chill, Shen Heyu shivered and forced her eyes open.
What greeted her was Chen Bo’s shrewd, narrow eyes.
“What do you want to do?!” mories of this pervert suddenly surged in Shen Heyu’s mind, and she had a very bad feeling, instinctively recoiling.
The mont she moved, she realized she was bound.
Chen Bo stared at her coldly, his sinister laughter chilling, “What’s the rush? I just want you to suffer a bit. Who asked you to be so ruthless with Pei Yansi, leaving without a place in this city!”
“It was you who started the fight, and you weren’t hurt by at all, yet you want to go so far as to try and annihilate ! That’s not how you treat people!”
Shen Heyu spat at him, “Against soone like you, if I don’t utterly crush you, you’ll just offend again!”
Chen Bo hadn’t expected her to still be so fiery even now.
He snorted coldly, pulled out a dagger, and pointed it at Shen Heyu’s cheek, “Call Pei Yansi! Tell him to pay up! Or I will kill you after I make him pay to get out of this city.”
Shen Heyu declared firmly, “I have nothing to do with him! You’re crazy to think kidnapping will threaten him!”
She did not know what Pei Yansi had done.
Chen Bo sneered, impatiently tapping her cheek with the dagger, “Are you really clueless or just playing dumb? Could it be that if it weren’t for you, Pei Yansi would have left with no other choice?”
“Cut the crap and call him!”
While speaking, Chen Bo took out her phone and offered it to her. It was password protected, and he couldn’t unlock it.
Shen Heyu flatly refused, “In your dreams!” Not only was it a pipe dream, but he had also kidnapped the wrong person!
Who was Pei Yansi, anyway?
How could he possibly give in to soone like Chen Bo, a coward, and offer him money?
Chen Bo lost his patience, angrily slicing her cheek with the dagger before demanding, “Unlock your phone, or I’ll keep cutting your face!”
Seeing the rage in his eyes, Shen Heyu knew he wasn’t joking.
She worried about dying at his hands—with the dagger so close, what if he accidentally cut an artery?
Trembling, she gave him the phone’s password.
Chen Bo successfully unlocked the phone and dialed Pei Yansi’s number.
As soon as the call connected, before anyone could speak, a coquettish female voice said, “President Pei, this is Han Manyin, who accompanied you to the banquet last ti. Do you rember ?”
Hearing the voice, Shen Heyu’s heart sank.
At this ti of night, Han Manyin was with Pei Yansi, speaking in a tantalizingly ambiguous tone.
They were alone together; she didn’t believe they were rely chatting.
Pei Yansi didn’t answer Han Manyin’s question but instead said into the phone, “What’s the matter this late?”
Shen Heyu kept silent as Chen Bo spoke first, “President Pei, hope all’s well. Your woman is in my hands now. If you want her alive, pay !”
“I’m not asking for much, just ten billion.”
“Ten billion to you is just a drop in the bucket, right?”
On the other end of the line, Pei Yansi’s eyes narrowed, his long, phoenix-like eyes filled with frost as if verifying the caller’s identity, “Is this Chen Bo?”
“That’s right, I’m the one who has kidnapped your woman!”
