Various external factors were constantly reminding Su Wanxin that she shouldn’t keep the child. She was clear about that in her heart, too, as for why she was still holding on...
Perhaps, it was because she was foolish.
After all, it was a child shared with him, and she ultimately couldn’t bear to let go. But relying solely on this sentint, Su Wanxin herself had no idea how long she could hold on.
The eting officially started, and many political heavyweights attended. The place was swarming with dia journalists, and a cara could catch your face at any mont, making it impossible to relax.
Su Wanxin’s seat was in the first row, right next to Fu Shihan. She didn’t know which idiot was responsible for this arrangent.
Upon seeing their naplates placed together, she felt an urge to change seats.
But there were too many people, and so many caras around, she knew that if she dared to do so, without a doubt, she would reserve a spot on the trending search list today.
She walked over to take a seat, took out her phone, set it to silent, and placed it on the table. Not long after, Fu Shihan ca and sat down as well.
His presence imdiately made Su Wanxin’s heart sink. Her lips tightly pursed, her hands fidgeting with the pen on the table, her mind elsewhere.
He couldn’t guess that she was pregnant, and probably had long forgotten about that night when they didn’t use protection.
Thinking of all that had happened, Su Wanxin sighed, feeling aggrieved.
"What are you sighing about, unhappy to see ?" Fu Shihan heard her sigh and spoke indifferently. "The organizers arranged the seats, I had no choice."
"Uh-huh, I understand, President Fu has it tough."
Su Wanxin responded politely and didn’t deny that her mood was affected by seeing him.
Fu Shihan glanced at her, wanting to ask where she had been these past two days, but ultimately held back.
The eting officially began, and Su Wanxin listened intently to the speakers.
Compared to her, Fu Shihan was much more distracted.
This woman had put on perfu again today; Fu Shihan slled the faint fragrance and frowned in silence.
The conference was divided into morning and afternoon sessions. The morning was mostly for political leaders to speak and for journalists to ask questions. The afternoon was reserved for their participation.
After getting through the long morning hours, lunch was served at the hotel.
The banquet hall was filled with buffet choices, yet Su Wanxin had a hard ti finding anything she wanted to eat. Hunger worsened her mood.
Lu Ci and others saw her and ca over to say hello.
Fu Shihan followed leisurely behind, with an unwilling look as if saying it wasn’t his preference to co over, but since everyone else was here, he had no choice and had to bear it as well.
"When did you start taking such good care of your health?" Lu Ci noticed the freshly squeezed juice in Su Wanxin’s hand and the greens on the table, and couldn’t help but chuckle lightly. "Not having a drink?"
"No, thanks." Su Wanxin replied softly, "There’s a eting in the afternoon, drinking too much wouldn’t be good."
Lu Ci raised an eyebrow. Today’s eting was just routine for them, attended so often that it wasn’t much concerned.
So when he heard her say that, it inevitably felt like an adult listening to a child speak.
Lu Ci knew she was just being polite and genuinely didn’t want to drink. He didn’t insist any further.
Yet soone was immature, picking for conversation, and sarcastically remarked, "President Su has a big temper, she never gives face to anyone, don’t delay her al, let’s go."
Su Wanxin heard this, feeling a wave of anger, turned her head to look at him, and sneered, "Does President Fu an to say that drinking is giving you face?"
