Su Yao now is so eager to leave this room and get far away from him.

She doesn’t even know what’s wrong with her; she just feels ignited with rage, the kind that won’t subside for quite a while.

Not only is she angry, but she also feels distressed, and she even senses a hint of grievance, though she can’t figure out what she’s feeling aggrieved about.

It’s such a trivial matter. Who he ets, talks to, or spends ti with, what’s that got to do with her? Why is she being so sensitive?

Her mind is a ss, her thoughts are chaotic, and thus, the direct consequence is that she doesn’t want to see him at all right now; she needs to calm down.

Lu Ci sighs and pulls her back with a yank.

Su Yao staggers backward, and her elbow hits the wall exactly at the wrong spot, causing so much pain that she gasps and her eyes well up instantly.

"Don’t cry."

Lu Ci sees her tears swirling in her eyes and chickens out.

"I won’t et her again, okay?"

"I don’t care who you et. Just let go," Su Yao pulls her hand back, rubbing her elbow, which has gone numb. "I don’t want to see you."

"How can I dare let you go looking like this?"

Not to ntion ssing up Fu Shihan’s good deeds, who knows if Fu Shihan will hold him accountable later.

Just speaking for himself, he feels that if he lets her go now, it won’t be easy to find another opportunity to talk to her like this ever again.

He pulls her hand over, bending down to inspect the spot she’s hurt.

Won’s skin is fair and delicate—a bump turns it red instantly, and even if it’s not a serious injury, it looks severe.

The two stand in the entryway; Lu Ci glances at her reddened eyes, and his own heart feels uncomfortable.

He pulls her inside, and Su Yao struggles all the way until she finally just sits down on the ground, and he drags her along.

Lu Ci pulls her onto the couch and forcibly embraces her. Anticipating a loud outburst from her, he reminds her once more: "Yangyang is a light sleeper, and she gets grumpy when she’s woken up."

Su Yao: "..."

Lu Ci wasn’t aiming to take advantage of her. He bends down sincerely, rubbing her elbow, his feelings a bit complex.

The room is so quiet that they can hear each other’s breathing.

There’s a faint scent on her, from a perfu perhaps, exceptionally fragrant.

Lu Ci holds her for a while, then slightly lifts his head to look at her, and when he sees that she still has that aggrieved, pained expression, a nerve in his brain snaps.

A thought flashes through his mind—it only takes a second.

And within that second, he has already tightened his grip around her waist.

Su Yao, who never imagined he would make such a sudden move, is taken aback and unable to prevent his success.

Su Yao, without hesitation, swings her hand in a slap.

She doesn’t hit his face but his arm. Unexpectedly, it numbs her own hand, while he remains expressionless.

One blow after another strikes her in quick succession, and Su Yao bites the corner of her lip, trying to hold back, but she can’t and sheds tears.

At this mont, Lu Ci is also a bit stunned. The decision just now was truly impulsive, not fully thought through. He saw her, wanted to kiss her, and so he just did.

Seeing her cry now, he calms down a little, rethinking the situation.
