"You ca to see just to have a al together?" Su Wanxin looked at her with a bit of a headache. "Or is there sothing else?"
"Just to eat. The crew was shooting nearby today, so I just ca over."
Seeing how earnest she looked, Su Wanxin couldn’t bring herself to refuse, so she went with her to a nearby restaurant.
It really had been too long since Fu Shiyi had last spent ti alone with her. Seeing her nod in agreent suddenly made her feel like crying.
She hung her head, following beside Su Wanxin, thinking about what topics she should bring up during the al.
Actually, before Su Wanxin had seen her, she had already spent half an hour in the hallway thinking about this, but even now, she still wasn’t sure.
After sitting down in the restaurant, Su Wanxin took the nu and handed it to Fu Shiyi: "I often co to this restaurant with colleagues. The taste is quite good. But I’m not sure about your preferences, so you order."
"You go ahead, I have no dietary restrictions, and I like most of the things you do."
Seeing her push the nu back, Su Wanxin raised an eyebrow and, not wanting to waste ti on this, decided on her own.
While waiting for the food, Su Wanxin checked her phone to pass the ti. She sat there nonchalantly, seemingly not in the mood to chat with Fu Shiyi.
And Fu Shiyi just kept her eyes fixed on her, her emotions complicated.
They’d t a few tis since Su Wanxin ca back. Her attitude today could be considered quite good.
She had light makeup on, which made her fair complexion and pretty features stand out even more. Fu Shiyi had grown up with her and had never denied how beautiful she was. Her beauty was the kind that was stunning at first glance and never got tireso.
Su Wanxin faintly sensed her stare and looked up at her. "If there’s sothing you want to say, just say it?"
Fu Shiyi was slightly startled and shook her head continuously: "Really, no! I just feel like it’s been a long ti since I last saw you, so I wanted to take a good look!"
Hearing this, Su Wanxin didn’t know how to react. Didn’t they just et last night?
Fu Shiyi didn’t know how to explain, but felt that compared to their past daily interactions, it really had been a long ti since she’d seen her—probably about four years.
"Aren’t you part of the managent? Why do you need to visit the set when artists are shooting?" Su Wanxin changed the subject, asking out of curiosity. "Was it a crew gathering you attended last night?"
"This project is a bit special, sanctioned by higher-ups, intended to make a big push on major satellite TV channels at the end of this year. The cast also includes many seasoned actors, including so old talents, so I ca to say hi."
Reflectively, Su Wanxin nodded, listening to her continue.
"There are also a few actors from our company involved in the shooting. I won’t ntion Sheng Qian but you know Lin Yifan—I was worried he might cause so trouble again, so I ca to remind him a bit."
Su Wanxin frowned: "He’s been in the industry for many years, right? How could he not know the rules?"
"It’s better to be safe than sorry," Fu Shiyi replied with a wry smile. She wasn’t really worried about Lin Yifan breaking any rules or offending anyone due to his manners, but it was his peculiar temperant—always attracting undesired supernatural elents—that bothered people.
Su Wanxin, curious, asked further: "Such a big production... a warlord god drama?"
"No, it’s a historic costu drama."
"No wonder."
With such support from superiors, it must be a very orthodox drama.
As the two chatted softly, the waiter brought their al. After eating, Fu Shiyi was intending to find an excuse to stay with her a little longer but received a call from the company and had to leave.
