She stood frozen for a mont before turning her head, and then she saw Fu Shihan standing there, his posture relaxed, legs stretched out, with a half-smoked cigarette between his fingers.
He t Su Wanxin’s gaze with a half-smile.
"President Fu?!"
The man beside Su Wanxin followed her gaze and exclaid in surprise, quickly walking over to greet him.
Only then did Fu Shihan pack away his lazy deanor, stand up straight, and respond with indifferent formality.
The man who wanted to ask Su Wanxin out to dinner looked to be around thirty. Fu Shihan tried to search his mory for any information on the man, only to realize he was drawing a blank.
Not even morable enough to be rembered, and he wants to ask my girlfriend out for dinner?
"President Fu, what a coincidence. What brings you here?"
"I’m here to discuss so affairs with President Su." Fu Shihan answered coldly, glancing in Su Wanxin’s direction. "I didn’t expect President Su to be so busy."
Su Wanxin stood still and didn’t co closer, calling out to him from a distance: "President Fu, what do you want to talk to about?"
"When will the competition you promised begin?" Fu Shihan had been feeling restless lately. "Didn’t you say we would definitely settle the score this ti?"
Su Wanxin was taken aback for a second before replying, "Whenever President Fu arranges is fine, I’m easygoing."
She hadn’t thought he’d still rember about it; she assud he’d forgotten.
But Fu Shihan hadn’t forgotten, in fact, he rembered quite clearly. He would occasionally go online to review her previous public trading records, trying to deduce her strategies at that ti.
Seeing her tactics, which indeed had quite a resemblance to his own, filled him with a subtle joy.
Fu Shihan walked towards Su Wanxin, speaking to her in a low voice about business matters, and pushed open the door to her office to enter.
Su Wanxin followed him inside and closed the door, asking, "What about the man outside?"
"Leave him be, who cares what he does." Fu Shihan said indifferently, "I’m the one whisking you away. Even if he is upset, the bla falls on for ruining his plans, not on you."
He already had plenty of enemies, what was one more?
"People are approaching you for als this often? I occasionally visit, and I run into this, isn’t that a bit too much, President Su?"
Fu Shihan complained as he sat on the sofa.
"How do these people not understand their place? Thinking they are worthy to ask you out for dinner?"
"President Fu’s daily flattery is always creative." Su Wanxin sighed and leaned against the door watching him. "Then you tell , who is worthy?"
Fu Shihan didn’t speak but instead smiled, patting the spot beside him, inviting her over.
Su Wanxin shook her head, and then he added, "Later at ho, you won’t be able to hold anymore. Whether or not you can sleep well tonight entirely depends on you."
Su Wanxin hesitated for a mont, her head aching.
He really knew how to flirt, and she couldn’t resist.
She walked slowly towards him and sat down next to him. Fu Shihan didn’t do anything excessive; he just leaned on the sofa, looping his arm around her and quietly chatting with her.
"Do you think the guy outside has left? He’s not still waiting for you, is he?"
Su Wanxin: "He shouldn’t be... Besides, isn’t Chen Lei there? He’ll see the man out, right?"
"That’s true, Chen Lei is quite clever. It was a good decision to keep him around."
Fu Shihan looked down at her, from his angle, he could see her long, thick eyelashes clearly.
"I’ll be going to Bin City tomorrow, on the sa flight as Su Bai, to sign a contract for a new project. I thought the way I called out ’Mom’ last ti at your place would have jinxed my project."
Rembering that day, the corners of Fu Shihan’s mouth turned up.
"After the contract is signed tomorrow, and I return, should I give it another try?"
