Fu Shihan found her upstairs, Su Wanxin was analyzing data while staring at the computer screen in the study.

She heard soone knocking on the door, thinking it was Su Yao coming to bring her fruit, so she casually said, "Co in." Monts later, she paused in shock.

"You... why are you here?"

She looked up at Fu Shihan, asking in surprise.

How did he get in?

Fu Shihan closed the door, walked over to her, took her by the hand, and then embraced her.

Su Wanxin stiffened, not understanding his intentions. Had he co over early in the morning just to give her a hug?

"I dreamt of you last night, thought about it all night, and finally, I get to see you."

Fu Shihan whispered into her neck, confessing softly. Su Wanxin felt the sincerity, sighed, and smiled wryly helplessly: "You really are..."

Qi Ran was right, sweet words are too dangerous.

Fu Shihan hugged her for a while, easing the frustration that had built up overnight, then finally he pulled her to sit down.

Seeing his serious expression, Su Wanxin also couldn’t help feeling a bit nervous. "What’s wrong?"

"A few days ago, you told you didn’t want to be together with anymore because you didn’t want to be my amulet anymore. Who told you that?"

Fu Shihan had been thinking last night that if the Su Family brought up the amulet, then upon discovering that the house they bought was next to his, they should have quickly made her move out, away from him.

The effectiveness of an amulet diminishes with distance, and Su Yao glares at him every day despite disliking him and despite her protectiveness, yet she still hasn’t moved away. What does that suggest?

It suggests that it wasn’t the Su Family who had said those words to her.

Su Wanxin didn’t expect him to co to ask about this; she hesitated for a mont, her mood sowhat low, "Why bring this up all of a sudden?"

"Because I dreamt of you last night," he honestly answered. "I dreamt that you were lying on a hospital bed, very ill."

He slowly lifted his hand, gently stroking her cheek.

"I couldn’t sleep all night, kept thinking about our situation, and felt there were too many uncertainties. I want to find out why I forgot you a year ago, and who could possibly have made forget you."

During the year she wasn’t around, he had rely tried to recover his mory, without really trying to figure out why he had forgotten her.

Because he hadn’t encountered her, felt she wasn’t that important, and didn’t want to waste ti on such troubleso matters. Also, because he was still imrsed in the frustration from the emails he sent to himself, not wanting to have anything to do with her.

Su Wanxin bit her lip corner, turned around to pick up her cellphone from the table, and showed him the ssages she had received that day.

After reading through them with a grim look, Fu Shihan listened to her say: "This person seems to know a lot about us. That’s why, after seeing these, I’m even less willing to get entangled with you again."

Even now, she was scared by those few ssages.

She felt like she was walking on the edge of a cliff, where a single misstep could plunge her into the abyss, shattering her beyond recovery.

Fu Shihan frowned slightly and asked her softly, "Then why did you still agree to try to be with ? Were you pestered by , pushed to it against your will?"

"I don’t know why I agreed to you; I just feel... I should trust you."

Compared to several intentionally troubleso anonymous ssages, she’d rather trust him.

"But that night I also told you four conditions—if one day I find out you lied to , I will no longer trust you. Then we will break up, completely and thoroughly."

Su Wanxin gazed into his eyes, articulating each word.

"Fu Shihan, please don’t lie to , okay?"
