The sudden longing caught off guard.

Su Wanxin went online and searched for Fu Shihan’s na, scrolling through the news about him for a long ti before yawning and falling asleep. Finally, the next evening, her wish ca true.

Fu Shihan was back.

His car was parked at the neighboring doorway, the front gate wide open; it seed he had just returned.

Su Wanxin entered her house with the corners of her mouth slightly lifted, in a cheerful mood.

Next door.

After Fu Shihan returned, he collapsed onto his bed, dragging a blanket over him to catch up on so sleep. Sleeping only four hours in three days, he was utterly exhausted.

He slept for a long ti, and when he woke up, it was past five in the morning.

The dim night light by his bed was still on; sleeping with the light on had beco his habit this past year.

It wasn’t that he was afraid of the dark; he had never had this issue before, but suddenly he hated the darkness.

Fu Shihan slowly adjusted to the light, grabbed his phone to check the ti, then got up to take a shower, with no thoughts of going back to sleep.

After he freshened up, he lay in bed browsing his phone, only to beco increasingly annoyed as he continued.

Did a certain Miss Su from next door seem to be having quite a cozy few days?

The relationship exposed...

Fu Shihan looked at the headline picked by the dia, wanting to hurl several facts in their face.

Su Wanxin went out to dine again with that matchmaking candidate, and even got photographed by paparazzi.

Fu Shihan scrutinized the secretly taken photos and lost all desire to sleep.

He had clearly told her—he disliked seeing her dining with that blonde-haired man, yet she went again? And even gave him a ride?

Was she disregarding what he said, or was she deliberately trying to irritate him?

Or perhaps, she really had feelings for that man, which is why she agreed to et again?

Fu Shihan furrowed his brows, tornted by all the possibilities, irritable beyond words.

Waiting for dawn felt endlessly long. He suppressed the impulse to go next door, climb through a window, wake her up, and confront her; instead, he decided to sort out the emails in his study, killing ti.

...

This past year, Fu Shihan had visited the Su Family’s business only a handful of tis; if Chen Lei rembered correctly, including today, it would be a total of four tis.

Looking at Fu Shihan’s terrifyingly dark expression, Chen Lei suddenly worried for his boss’s safety.

Su Wanxin hadn’t arrived at the company yet; should he sneakily text her to inform her to co later, or say maybe she should hide, and not co at all today?

Chen Lei stealthily took out his phone, just entertaining this thought when he heard Fu Shihan’s chilling warning —

"Think your salary is too high to spend all?"

Chen Lei: "...I was just checking the ti."

Fu Shihan glanced at him coldly, scoffed.

Chen Lei broke out in a cold sweat from his ridicule, realizing he could offer no help and could only wish Su Wanxin luck.

He had warned her before; it was their president who was too arrogant. See, now the consequences of that arrogance had arrived.

It was eight fifty in the morning.

Su Wanxin pushed open the door of the office, stopped in her tracks.

Her gaze t the person inside, and she hesitantly stepped forward, sensing that... the atmosphere was a bit off.

"President Fu, did you need sothing from ?"

Cornering soone in the office early in the morning, what was he up to?

"What do you think?" Fu Shihan sat on the sofa watching her, too lazy to move even a bit. "Does President Su not have any matters to discuss with ?"

Chen Lei had found an excuse to leave a few minutes earlier, leaving only the two of them in the room.

Su Wanxin looked at his dark, inscrutable expression, listened to his mocking and taunting tone, and remained silent.
