Fu Shihan drove all the way, thinking about the words Su Wanxin had said in the hospital.

This was the first ti he had heard Su Wanxin ntion anything about that car accident.

She admitted that because of the accident, all her organs were damaged and she had been in a coma for a year and a half before regaining consciousness.

Although she didn’t go into more detail, and even though she spoke of these details in a very indifferent tone, he could still imagine how severely injured she must have been at the ti.

Fu Shihan drove in silence, and Su Wanxin seed to sense his poor mood, behaving very obediently.

They got ho a bit late. Yangyang had already eaten dinner and was playing chase happily in the living room with Mu Suyu.

Upon seeing Su Wanxin’s return, he ran over and bumped into her as she was about to bend down and take off her shoes, unsuspecting. She was knocked back two steps and almost fell into Fu Shihan’s arms.

Fu Shihan steadied her and looked down, his gaze cold.

"Fu Yu’an!"

Yangyang shuddered, his smile freezing on his face as he stepped back cautiously, nervously clutching his clothes.

"It’s okay."

Su Wanxin easily wriggled free from his embrace and, having taken off her shoes, picked up Yangyang and headed toward the dining room.

"Mommy hasn’t eaten yet; will you keep company while I eat?"

She softly soothed the little one in her arms and then whispered in his ear.

"Daddy’s in a bad mood because of , so let’s be careful with our words tonight and not provoke him."

"Daddy’s bad." Yangyang rubbed his eyes, wiping away the moisture from beneath them. He hugged Su Wanxin’s neck and kissed her. "Mommy is good, Mommy is not afraid."

Su Wanxin pacified him for a while until he was cald down. When it was ti to rest at night, Fu Shihan pulled her back to the master bedroom.

"Take your dicine."

Su Wanxin looked at him expressionlessly, just like yesterday, with a glass of water in one hand and the dicine in the other, handing them to him.

"Don’t complain about the bitterness; you still have to take it."

Fu Shihan sat on the edge of the bed, silently watching her, not speaking.

"Shall I bring your son over so he can watch the person who always scolds him with a stern face play tricks when it cos to taking dicine?"

Fu Shihan: ...

What use was this son he had cajoled and tricked her into bearing for him, after all?

Suddenly, Fu Shihan felt like he had shot himself in the foot.

"Go bring him then." He leaned back against the headboard, exuding a roguish air. "By the way, also let him understand how obedient his mother is in front of ."

Su Wanxin felt a little panicked when she heard this.

Biting her lip, she pushed the glass of water and dicine into his hand and said petulantly, "Love it or leave it."

"Then what if I really don’t take it?"

Fu Shihan was quite unceremonious; if shalessness was the ga, he would play it to the hilt.

He sat up straight and placed the items on the bedside table. Su Wanxin hurried to stop him, inadvertently falling for his ploy.

Fu Shihan’s eyes glead slightly as he grasped her chilly fingertips.

"Feed ," he said softly, "Like before."

Su Wanxin: ...

You have the nerve to ask???

Not only did Fu Shihan have the nerve, but he had plenty. He looked Su Wanxin straight in the eye, continuing his ruse calmly.

"I know the dicine is bitter, but you’ve got to feed . I heard this flu is quite serious; several hospital ergency rooms are overwheld."

Su Wanxin looked at him for a long while, finally laughing out of exasperation. "Do you know that typically people like you who are so shaless usually end up with a miserable fate?"

"Do I look like a typical person?"

Su Wanxin thought about it and felt that was true.

Arrogant people are always extraordinary; otherwise, they would have been hamred down and reporting to the netherworld by now.
