Li Mo peeled the facial mask off her face and tossed it into the trash can nonchalantly. Her expression was stern, a cold glint flashing in her eyes.

She couldn’t forgive Su Wanxin for what she had done.

Fu Shiyi wanted to say sothing but stopped herself, not daring to voice her thoughts.

After Li Mo was discharged from the hospital that year, she lost all mory of the car accident. The doctors said it was related to a head injury, but more so due to psychological factors.

Over the years, they had found her two psychologists, but to no avail in the end.

Later, Li Mo grew tired of it and resisted further psychological treatnt; it had been almost a year since she last saw a psychologist.

"Shi Yi, bring the new psychologist over tomorrow, I’ll et with him," Li Mo said surprisingly while Fu Shiyi was deep in thought.

"Didn’t you say you found a very talented expert? I want to see just how talented he really is."

Fu Shiyi’s breath hitched, a surge of joy welling in her heart.

"Mom, I’m telling you, this person is really super great! Although he’s not very old, he’s truly professional," Fu Shiyi expressed excitedly.

Li Mo glanced at her with a half-smile that was not quite a smile. "Rare to hear you praise soone so much, is he male?"

"...Ah, what about it?"

"Do you like him?"

"...No! I don’t like him!"

Li Mo let out a snort of laughter, clearly unconvinced.

Fu Shiyi, feeling a headache coming on, touched her forehead and didn’t want to continue the topic. She quickly took out her phone to contact the psychologist and arrange the eting for tomorrow.

After she had made an appointnt, she looked up at Li Mo again, asking curiously,

"Mom, why do you suddenly want to see a psychologist again?"

"I may be getting on in years, but I’m not so old that the young can walk all over ," she said with self-deprecating laughter. "If she won’t speak, then I will figure it out myself."

I’ll see what Su Wanxin can say once I rember.

Fu Shiyi watched the image of Li Mo wheeling herself into the room, her heart filled with a sorrowful pain.

She also stood up and returned to her room, lying on the bed unable to sleep, idly playing with her phone. Then, upon seeing a photo of herself with Su Wanxin in the gallery, her tears couldn’t help but fall.

"Heartless bastard,"

she muttered softly as she looked at Su Wanxin’s radiant and carefree smile in the photo, then tossed the phone aside, turned off the lights, and forced herself to sleep.

The next day, 2 p.m.

The intercom phone on Fu Shiyi’s desk rang, and she picked it up with one hand to hear her assistant say—

"President Fu, there’s a Mister Zhong Xian here saying he has an appointnt with you and would like to et."

"Ask him to wait a mont, I’m coming out!"

Fu Shiyi hung up the phone, hurriedly finished reviewing the last docunt, signed her na, and got up to leave.

Outside the door, Zhong Xian was waiting patiently against the wall. He smiled slightly upon seeing her erge, and they walked toward the elevator together.

After leaving the company and getting into the car, Fu Shiyi briefly explained Li Mo’s situation to him.

Zhong Xian nodded thoughtfully upon hearing this and then asked, "What about the other party involved? Have you considered having them et to aid in the treatnt?"

"The other person..." Fu Shiyi pondered for a mont before smiling bitterly. "Dead."

Zhong Xian nodded again, not doubting her words.

"By the way, I saw you with Su Wanxin at the cafe last ti, what were you talking about?" Fu Shiyi recalled the previous incident and asked with so concern.

Zhong Xian’s gaze flickered, his heart heavy.

Ever since eting Su Wanxin that last ti, they hadn’t contacted each other again.

"We talked about investnt matters; I’m considering buying so financial products, so I asked for her help."

"Oh." Fu Shiyi didn’t question his response, "That’s fine, she is indeed quite capable."
