The two-day weekend passed quickly, and Su Wanxin started her Monday workday, diving into her busy and intense tasks.
"Wanxin, soone is looking for you!"
At 2 PM, Su Wanxin was sitting attentively at her desk, closely monitoring the stock market, when suddenly the receptionist called her on the intercom to inform her that there was a visitor outside.
"What’s the na?" Su Wanxin whispered, without taking her eyes off the computer screen.
"Sun Tianran!" The receptionist’s voice carried a gossip-filled excitent; after that program the other day, everyone in the company had seen it and naturally knew about the grudges between Sun Tianran and Su Wanxin.
Su Wanxin was taken aback for a second, then chuckled. "Alright, have her wait. Just say I’m in a eting and it will end in an hour."
"Got it!"
Inside the visitor’s room, Sun Tianran received the receptionist’s reply, forced a smile while swallowing her frustration, and said, "Alright, I’ll wait."
She didn’t expect Su Wanxin to make such a big deal of it, but as she needed sothing from Su Wanxin, she had to put on a brave face and suppress her irritation.
Su Wanxin said to wait for an hour, so it would be at least an hour, but never less.
An hour and a half later, after finishing her work, Su Wanxin, reminded once more by a colleague, suddenly rembered Sun Tianran who was still waiting outside.
She walked slowly to the visitor’s room, faced Sun Tianran’s impatient eyes, took a seat on the sofa with a smile, and asked knowingly: "What brings you here, Miss Sun?"
Sun Tianran pursed her lips, hesitating for a bit. "I am very sorry for what happened on the show."
Her apology to Su Wanxin was insincere, not out of guilt, but because she was out of options.
The legal notice from Su’s Securities had already been delivered to her talent agency, which refused to settle the matter and insisted on terminating her contract, demanding she make compensation and publicly apologize online.
Sun Tianran initially had placed her hopes on Shen Xiaochen, but later realized that Shen couldn’t really help her at all.
Sun Tianran didn’t know who the financial backer behind Su Wanxin was, but in just a few days, they had effectively blacklisted her.
The brand endorsents and variety shows she had, including two TV series and three movies, all ca to terminate their contracts with her, and no other production teams dared to hire her.
Now laden with debt and infamy, she felt truly backed into a corner for the first ti.
How many ups and downs had she experienced in the many years in the entertainnt industry? She had been through nurous feuds with other artists, but never had she lost as disastrously as this ti.
"I am truly sorry for the negative impact on you and hope you can forgive ," Sun Tianran said through clenched teeth to Su Wanxin. "I can publicly apologize to you online, and I hope you can let off."
"Does Miss Sun rember what I said on the show?" Su Wanxin asked with a cold smile, reminding her. "I said, if a mad dog bites , I’ll choose to put it down."
"You...!"
"I don’t know what gave you the impression that I’m easy to talk to. Since you’ve co to today, let make it clear to you that I am very petty, especially towards those with low IQs who resort to devious ans and fantasize about harming , I have no interest in reconciling."
Su Wanxin’s straightforward sarcasm left Sun Tianran pale-faced, gasping for breath, clearly holding back her rage.
Sun Tianran clenched her teeth and kept telling herself to stay calm.
After a pause, she asked Su Wanxin: "Don’t you want to know why I did what I did?"
