Mu Xinghan’s eyes were filled with growing suspicion as he fixed his gaze on the man before him, trapped in a state of extre contradiction and struggle.
Fu Shihan, calm as ever, returned the gaze with a faint, almost mocking smile that made Mu Xinghan furious. He rushed up to him.
"What on earth is going on?!"
The mont Mu Xinghan grabbed Fu Shihan’s collar, Jiang Cheng rushed over, brimming with hostility, pulling him aside and shielding Fu Shihan.
Fu Shihan lounged lazily on the sofa, chuckling at Mu Xinghan’s impulsive reaction.
"Does a policeman hitting soone count as breaking the law?"
"What exactly are you trying to do?" Mu Xinghan’s gaze was cold and harsh, unable to discern his motive for seeking him out.
Since he already recovered his mory, what else could he want with him?
"Take a guess," Fu Shihan smiled slightly, infuriatingly. "Guess when exactly my mory ca back, guess how I recovered my mory, guess the reason I’m seeking you out this ti."
The room fell into a brief silence, with Mu Xinghan continuously pondering these questions but failing to arrive at a satisfactory answer.
"As far as I know, the Mu Family has more than just you as a talented mber," Fu Shihan kindly reminded, causing Mu Xinghan to pause.
"It can’t be Xiao Yu."
Even though Mu Suyu has grown remarkably fast over the past two years, she still can’t break Mu Xinghan’s setup.
"I didn’t say it was Mu Suyu," Fu Shihan’s smile deepened. "Mu Qingshan, that na shouldn’t be unfamiliar to you."
Mu Qingshan was born into the Taoist family, being the grandfather of Mu Xinghan and Mu Suyu, he was considered quite an accomplished person.
But let alone an outsider like Fu Shihan, even Mu Xinghan and Mu Suyu have rarely seen him in recent years.
Mu Qingshan has lived on the mountain for many years, and the last ti Mu Xinghan saw him was when Su Wanxin was rescued and returned to the Mu Family. As such, it would never occur to Mu Xinghan that he would have t with Fu Shihan.
"Impossible." Mu Xinghan frowned deeply, not believing what he said. "My grandpa doesn’t even know you, let alone ddle in such matters."
"Are you sure?" Fu Shihan slowly shook his head. "Never mind Old Sir Mu knowing your deeds and wishing he could break your legs. But as for whether he knows , I think you don’t seem to fully understand."
Mu Qingshan not only knew Fu Shihan, but he had known him many years ago.
He was an old acquaintance of Fu Shihan’s grandmother. He predicted Fu’s future crisis, and it was Mu Qingshan who helped the Fu Family find Su Wanxin, the "life-saving talisman."
And back then, it was Mu Qingshan who saved Su Wanxin’s life and took her away from Fu Shihan.
Whether by fate or coincidence, Fu Shihan only recently uncovered these matters. At the mont when all his mories ca flooding back, he felt as though a lifeti had passed.
Originally, when it ca to recovering his mory, Fu Shihan didn’t count on seeking Mu Xinghan’s help.
He was inherently highly suspicious and would never trust soone like Mu Xinghan, who had hard him severely.
The reason he sought Mu Xinghan this ti was naturally for other reasons.
"I’m looking for you for a deal, a deal that is beneficial and harmless to both of us."
Fu Shihan turned his head and glanced at Jiang Cheng, who was protecting him like a mother hen, signalling him to fetch sothing from the upstairs study.
Jiang Cheng cast a worried look at Mu Xinghan. On second thought, if it really ca down to a fight, his Brother Han wouldn’t be the one to suffer, so he obediently went upstairs.
