"Then it wouldn’t be much fun, would it?"
Mu Xinghan curled his lips, spat out his gum, and took a lollipop from his pocket, popping it into his mouth.
Fu Shihan had seen many people, but never soone who loved sugar as much as him. Every ti they t, sugar was always in his mouth, making Fu Shihan very suspicious about the state of his blood sugar levels.
"I don’t quite see it that way," Fu Shihan chuckled softly. "Are you sure you don’t want any information?"
Mu Xinghan’s eyes flickered slightly, and Fu Shihan caught this change precisely, further confirming his suspicions.
Mu Xinghan had been "cheating and swindling" for so many years; he’d made enough money. So now, mingling with that group of people, it couldn’t just be for money.
Otherwise, when I initially offered him a high price to buy him over, he wouldn’t have refused so quickly.
As for what Mu Xinghan was really after, Fu Shihan still wasn’t sure. eting him today was to probe his intentions.
"I know quite a lot. Wouldn’t it be better to ask what you want to know?"
Mu Xinghan licked the candy in his mouth with his tongue, and the bulge pushed out by the candy slightly shifted on his cheek.
He looked at Fu Shihan steadily, staring for a while before he asked in a low voice, "What do you an?"
"I’m a businessman. Naturally, eting you is for business. As the saying goes, there’s a buyer for every seller. Is there sothing you want that I might be able to provide?"
Upon hearing this, Mu Xinghan shook his head with a smile, "You can’t give it to . If you could... you wouldn’t be sitting here now."
His words left Fu Shihan’s thoughts in a bit of disarray. Mu Xinghan leaned back in his chair, staring at him without saying anything, just looking straight at him as if trying to see sothing bloom on his face.
If it was an ordinary person being stared at like this, they would have been flustered long ago.
But not Fu Shihan. He sat there leisurely, sipping water, eting his gaze, all the while pondering over things.
He had heard that Su Wanxin had been living at that jerk’s house since her car accident. Just thinking about it made Fu Shihan feel a wave of jealousy in his stomach.
Once, while searching for sothing at ho, Fu Shihan found a small sandalwood box in the study, containing a piece of jade that seed to be of decent quality. He later learned it belonged to Su Wanxin.
The sixth sense isn’t exclusive to won; n have it too.
Su Wanxin’s expression towards that Jade Pendant was unusual. Under Fu Shihan’s persistent questioning, she confessed.
She said that Mu Xinghan lent it to her and joked at the ti that it was a family heirloom. But later, when she tried to return it, he refused it no matter what.
Not only did he refuse, but he also took out several different-shaped Jade Pendants, claiming they were just trinkets he used to make money.
Su Wanxin couldn’t really determine whether Mu Xinghan was telling the truth. She also considered giving the Jade Pendant to Mu Suyu, but Mu Suyu said it was Mu Xinghan’s, and she didn’t want it.
So after so twists and turns, it remained with Su Wanxin, who put it in her safe.
If Fu Shihan were to look at this, there was no doubt Mu Xinghan was lying.
He had a pretty good idea of how much Mu Xinghan liked Su Wanxin.
"Smart won are charming, but smart n are quite the opposite." After a long silence, Mu Xinghan suddenly said this.
He bit through the candy in his mouth, got up, and looked at Fu Shihan.
"The thing I hate most in this life is people like you who are too smart, so I naturally can’t satisfy you."
