Su Bai looked at the light turned on in the kitchen and thought of what Su Wanxin had said to him. Thinking of Fu Shihan’s current situation, he inevitably felt a bit regretful.

What happened between him and Fu Shihan was their own business.

Fu Shiyi hadn’t offended her. Involving the innocent was indeed inappropriate.

Su Bai sighed, got up, and walked toward the kitchen. Upon seeing Fu Shiyi sipping milk from a glass, he frowned and asked, "Stomachache?"

"None of your business!"

Fu Shiyi answered irritably, still holding a grudge.

Su Bai was silent for a mont after being rebuffed, then asked, "Can I treat you to a al?"

He glanced at his watch. It was quite late, but there should still be so restaurants open outside.

Fu Shiyi frowned, unsure of what he ant.

"No one does sothing nice without a reason. What are you up to?"

Su Bai: "Didn’t you skip dinner? I can take you out to eat?"

"Then tell why I skipped dinner in the first place?"

Fu Shiyi’s tone was displeased. Su Bai listened and chuckled bitterly, "You know my relationship with your brother isn’t good."

"But you still can’t badmouth him!"

"...I can’t even talk about him?"

"No! No one can badmouth my brother!"

Fu Shiyi was fiercely protective, and seeing she was ready to argue, Su Bai nodded repeatedly.

"Alright, alright, my fault, I won’t say it anymore. So, about that al?"

Fu Shiyi: "..."

Why is he so agreeable?

Unexpectedly, Su Bai admitted his mistake so readily, leaving Fu Shiyi a bit stunned.

If it were Fu Shihan, he certainly wouldn’t let her get her way...

"You really want to treat to a al?" Fu Shiyi suspiciously looked at him and, seeing him nod, said mischievously, "Then I don’t want to go out to eat. You can cook for at ho."

Su Bai: "???"

Looking at him, it was clear he was a young master who had never been in the kitchen.

Fu Shiyi smirked a little, "What, can’t do it?"

"It’s not that I can’t, just think your request is a bit high," Su Bai honestly said, "I can’t cook."

"I know you can’t, so I’m testing your sincerity."

"How about I call Wanwan down to cook for you? I really can’t." Su Bai, troubled, turned to find help—Fu Shiyi quickly called him back.

"Co back!"

Fu Shiyi stopped him and looked at him with a complicated expression, wondering if he was doing it on purpose.

Asking Wanwan to cook? It might be her last al if she did.

"Forget it, I’m not eating anymore."

Fu Shiyi gave him a sideways glance, drank the last of her milk, and went back to her room.

She had been ssaging Fu Shihan without reply and called Fu Shili, whose phone was off—he was probably on a flight, leaving the country.

Unable to reach anyone at a critical mont, Fu Shiyi tossed her phone aside, rubbed her eyes, turned off the lights, and prepared to sleep.

After an unknown amount of ti, just as she was drifting off, soone knocked on her door.

Fu Shiyi slowly opened her eyes, groggily got out of bed, and walked to the door. Seeing who it was, she wanted to get angry.

Is he crazy? What is he doing here so late?

"Still hungry?" Su Bai spoke before she could get angry, "I really can’t cook anything else, just made so instant noodles."

"...You really made it?"

"Uh, wasn’t that what you asked for?"

Su Yao taught Su Bai from a young age that promises must be kept, or you’d be bitten.

It was a lesson learned through painful experiences, so Su Bai rembered it vividly and kept it in mind.

Fu Shiyi was at a loss for words, not actually that hungry anymore, but seeing how earnestly he had taken it, she couldn’t just say she was joking.
