The living room suddenly fell into silence; the atmosphere seed a bit awkward.
Wanxin turned incredulously to Fu Shihan, frowned, and said, "Whose is it again?"
"Mine."
At the critical mont, Fu Shihan was driven by survival desire; he nodded and confessed. He looked at Qi Ran and admitted.
"It was my idea, and Wanwan had nothing to do with it."
Even though he said that, it looked like he was pressured by Wanxin.
Wanxin realized this and chuckled to herself, lanting that indeed, when disaster strikes, married couples are like birds in the sa forest that fly separately, proving the saying true.
Qi Ran watched their little performance and didn’t bother to ask more. He thoroughly observed Wanxin and, seeing she was in a good state, decided not to trouble them anymore.
Since Qi Ran was here, Su Yao certainly didn’t dare to stay in the sa room with Lu Ci tonight.
Even though things between Wanxin and Fu Shihan had already reached the point of no return, Fu Shihan was still rcilessly kicked out of the room at night.
He thought of crashing with Su Bai for the night, but they nearly got into a fight, leaving him no choice but to sleep alone in an empty room.
Wanxin hadn’t seen Qi Ran for several days and hadn’t called much.
Ever since she got pregnant and Su Bai blabbed about it, she hadn’t dared to contact Qi Ran.
Even though she knew Qi Ran wouldn’t say anything, she still felt a bit scared inside.
They spent a peaceful night, and later Su Yao and Shi Yi sneaked into her room one after another. They chatted unknowingly into the late night until they were too tired, and gradually, the room returned to silence.
Wanxin was sandwiched between them, either pressed by one or hugged by the other. No comparison ans no harm; it was only then she realized how well Fu Shihan sleeps.
Waking up early in the morning, she canceled all her morning plans. After everyone else left for work, she stayed ho with Qi Ran, chatting.
Wanxin loved the feeling of hanging out with Qi Ran; she lay on the couch with her head on Qi Ran’s legs, chatting while watching TV.
When Qi Ran asked if there was a misunderstanding between Su Bai and Fu Shihan, Wanxin felt amused and didn’t know how to explain.
"Fu Shihan can be a bit cheeky sotis, while my second brother is the pure-hearted type, so... a lot has happened."
Wanxin not only confessed but also complained.
"My second brother has been ssed with by Fu Shihan to the point he’s questioning his life, always feeling that Fu Shihan has ill motives towards him. I’ve tried to persuade him, but to no avail; it’s better they handle it themselves."
Su Bai, despite living for so many years, has never encountered soone like Fu Shihan, and it’s been quite an eye-opener.
Back in the Empire, his friends were always polite to him and never behaved so cheekily.
Listening to Wanxin, Qi Ran thought for a mont and smiled softly, "How’s the relationship between Shi Yi and your second brother?"
Wanxin was slightly taken aback, not expecting her to ask about Shi Yi.
Qi Ran noticed her reaction, lowered her eyes, and listened to her asking, "Mom, why did you suddenly bring them up?"
"Weren’t they the ones who picked up yesterday?"
"Oh, Shi Yi inquired about the arrival ti of everyone in our family, saying she wanted to personally pick everyone up to show her enthusiasm."
Wanxin answered with a smirk.
"I don’t know what she was thinking, but since both Fu Shihan and I were quite busy, we let her do it."
Qi Ran nodded and paused for a mont, then said, "So, Su Bai and her have nothing going on?"
