Su Xingyu glanced at the clumsy glass cup but didn’t reach out to take it.

In front of everyone, she of course understood that this was Su Xingqi trying to cause trouble for her. Was that woman stupid, provoking guests whom Qin Zheng had openly welcod?

The waiter in front of her saw that she didn’t move and couldn’t help but remind her, "Miss, please take your cup."

When he spoke, many guests looked over and saw the ridiculous and laughable glass cup.

"I wouldn’t drink using such a cup," Su Xingyu’s voice was soft yet clear, with a certain unyielding power. Although she was only wearing a T-shirt and trousers, she stood out among the elegantly dressed guests, but her dignified and inviolable deanor was like that of a princess.

She couldn’t afford to lose face here, not her own dignity, nor the reputation of the Mu Family that had passed, and not the Lu Family’s dignity today.

Even though no one here knew she was the young lady of the Lu Family.

But Lu Shifeng was right. Her every word and action represented the Lu Family. She was eating the Lu Family’s rice, so she had to take responsibility for the Lu Family.

Initially, so guests intended to watch the spectacle, but observing her straight posture and the brilliance in her eyes, they were montarily captivated.

"That girl is really sothing," a lady among the guests tugged her husband’s sleeve and whispered, "After the engagent ceremony, I’ll go talk to her. Isn’t your cousin still single?"

Her husband looked at Su Xingyu with admiration and nodded.

The waiter beca anxious, intentionally or unintentionally raising his voice, "Miss, if you refuse to take the cup, aren’t you intentionally disrupting the engagent banquet? Everyone’s waiting on you."

This shout caught the attention of the host on the stage, who raised the microphone and announced loudly, "The lady over there... Is that Miss Su Xingyu? Please quickly take the wine glass and do not delay the engagent ceremony process."

With the host’s words, everyone at the venue turned their eyes towards Su Xingyu.

The corners of Su Xingyu’s light pink lips held a faint, almost invisible cold smile. Knowing there was no easy resolution to today’s situation, she straightforwardly challenged, "Is this your way of treating guests?"

She pointed a slender and beautiful finger at the glass cup.

Only then did many people notice the exceptional cup, and a wave of whispering arose—

"What’s going on, are there not enough cups?"

"Can’t be, at such a big engagent banquet, there should be several sets of spare tableware, surely they’re not lacking?"

"Then it’s intentional harassnt towards Su Xingyu? Looks like they have a grudge."

"You might not know, but I’ve heard that Mr. Qin’s current fiancée, Su Xingqi, was the one who snatched her fiancé away from Su Xingyu..."

The whispers grew louder.

Su Xingqi beca sowhat flustered. She had instructed Liu izhi to swap the cup just to humiliate Su Xingyu, but both she and her mother had overlooked the issue that such formal banquets usually have spare goblets! This exposed their deliberate attempts to oppose Su Xingyu.

She discreetly glanced at Qin Mu and saw his eyebrows furrowed, eyes fixed on the unusual glass cup.

Given the situation, they had to keep up the pretense.

Su Xingqi gritted her teeth, forced a smile, and spoke, "There must be so misunderstanding, it’s busy today, and the waiter might not have found where the spare goblets are placed."

With her words, the anxiously silent Liu izhi finally chid in, "Yes, indeed, Su Xingyu, originally our Qiqi didn’t invite you, but since you insisted on coming to be Qiqi’s photographer and now stand among the guests, you joined in last minute. Just make do with this cup, besides, you may find the cup shabby, but we find your attire shabby too."

Su Xingyu was indeed dressed simply today. She didn’t anticipate a setup waiting for her here. Wearing an elaborate gown before stepping out would’ve been nonsensical.

Yet, she hadn’t expected Liu izhi to still speak so rudely, even after Qin Zheng officially welcod her, slandering not only her but also the Qin Family.

With this in mind, her clear and sparkling eyes swept towards where the Qin Family stood. Sure enough, Mr. Qin, Mrs. Qin, and Qin Zheng all bore slightly grave expressions.

"In-law," Mr. Qin was the first to speak, "calm down, it’s not worth getting so worked up over a servant’s mistake in neglecting our guest." Although it was clear to everyone Liu izhi wasn’t angry for Su Xingyu being neglected, Mr. Qin could only say this. If he let Liu izhi kick up a fuss, where would the Qin Family’s face go?

Mr. Qin vaguely regretted it, believing that since Qin Mu was the second child, he could marry soone to his liking. But now it seed this mother-in-law was truly inappropriate for such occasions.

Mrs. Qin was displeased too. She never liked the two sisters of the Su Family—disliked Su Xingyu for her poverty, and despised Su Xingqi because her biological mother was originally a side piece who sold fruits, exuding an unruly market air undesirable for the Qin bloodline! This marriage was one she agreed to under Qin Mu’s persistent persuasion, but it didn’t an she was thrilled about it!

Liu izhi however didn’t notice the two elders’ displeasure. She had no idea what it ant to "see the bigger picture."

She only felt satisfied being the focal point of so many guests, becoming so carried away that she continued humiliating Su Xingyu, "A lowly photographer like you, being allowed to attend Qiqi’s engagent banquet itself is an honor. Be sensible, drink this wine, or if you’re not, then get out."

Su Xingyu’s fingers moved slightly where no one could see, struggling to suppress her rising fury.

Just then, on the stage, Su Xingqi, dressed to the nines, further instigated, wearing what seed a kind smile, yet hiding malice, "Su Xingyu, since you’re already here, I won’t hold past grievances against you for not behaving, upsetting our parents, deceiving Qin Mu, and tainting my reputation as your sister. Drink this champagne, and I hope you find your way, turn over a new leaf."

Su Xingyu’s fingers twitched again.

This ti, she indeed reached out and took the clumsy glass cup.

The surroundings fell silent, many astonished at this slender, quiet girl, who monts ago was so stubborn, now seemingly yielding?

They watched as Su Xingyu, holding the cup of wine, walked step by step towards Su Xingqi on the stage, smiling as she walked, "Alright, for today is your joyous day, we’ll disregard past grievances. This toast, I make to you."

Her steps stopped before Su Xingqi.
