Mrs. Gui looked at her sincerely, "Young Madam, please help the Young Master. He has had a difficult ti all these years. We, as servants, see his struggles and worry for him, but there’s nothing we can do. Now that you’ve married into the family, please don’t be as cruel to him as the Master and Madam were. He counts on you... the Young Master only counts on you, Young Madam!"

On a sumr night, the old maid’s voice was full of sorrow, every word striking her heart.

She felt a sense of bewildernt, but even more, a tightening in her chest.

Unexpectedly, she recalled the deep despair in the storm when Qin Mu publicly betrayed her. At her loneliest and most helpless mont, it was him who reached out to her. But what about when he was lonely and helpless? When he was young, enduring a high fever in the ice and snow, who was there to reach out a helping hand?

She turned and walked upstairs.

She pushed open the bedroom door and found he wasn’t asleep, half-lying, leaning against the headboard, one hand pressing on his stomach. The dim light outlined his slightly pale face, furrowed brows, and tightly pressed lips, like a lonely, ailing pine, fighting the wind and rain alone.

Hearing the noise, he turned his head and saw her, his eyes instantly cold and fierce: "I said, get out! Leave!"

She bit her lip and decided not to argue with him, calmly undressing and lying beside him. "This is my ho, my territory, my bed," she raised her chin slightly, glaring at him with eyes as bright as sumr stars, "What right do you have to make leave? Let tell you, I’m sleeping here tonight, and that’s final!"

Lu Shifeng was irritable, his stomach burning with pain again, his gaze fierce as if he wanted to devour her: "Are you leaving or not?"

Su Xingyu felt a bit scared, wanting to flee under his fierce gaze, but seeing his pale face beaded with cold sweat, she forced herself to stay calm. "I won’t leave," she asserted, standing tall and speaking fiercely, "Since I was a child, I never knew how to ’leave,’ why don’t you show ?"

No one had ever dared to tell him to leave.

Lu Shifeng’s hand clenched into a fist, raising it as if to hit her.

She slightly shivered in her thin silk clothing, closing her eyes for a mont. Realizing she couldn’t back down, she opened her eyes wide and glared at him intensely.

Lu Shifeng punched the headboard, a heavy thud resonating.

"Fine, so you’re not leaving." Infuriated, he actually threw off the covers to get out of bed.

Su Xingyu blinked, stunned. No, no way, she’s not leaving, so he’s leaving? "Don’t!" Before she could react, she’d instinctively rushed over, holding his waist tightly from behind, "Lu Shifeng, don’t go! I want to sleep with you! You’re staying here, do you hear ?"

"Let go!" he yelled.

"I won’t!" She used all her strength to hold him, letting her entire body weight drop onto him, "I won’t, no I won’t! Wherever you go, I go! Lu Shifeng, don’t think you can shake off!"

Lu Shifeng, supporting himself on the edge of the bed, made a determined effort, forcing himself and her to the floor. The girl’s body hit the wooden floor, causing her to cry out in pain. "Lu Shifeng, you’re heartless! Go ahead, I dare you to leave! If you sleep in the bedroom, I’ll sleep in the bedroom. If you sleep in the guest room, I’ll sleep in the guest room!"

Lu Shifeng stopped moving, looking down at her.

From his angle, he could only see her dark hair and her small head rubbing against his leg, like a small cat clinging to its owner.

Yet, he truly hadn’t seen such a fierce yet shaless little cat before. He’d thought she was ek and easy to bully, accepting everything without complaint, but it was all an illusion.

He looked down and asked her, "Don’t you hate ? Even though I got sick because I saved you, you don’t have to feel guilty or compensate with your body."

"I...!" Su Xingyu was flustered, wanting only to lie beside him and take care of him, but who would have thought he would say that? She looked up and glared at him fiercely, "What are you thinking? You’re sick, and your mind’s full of these thoughts! Who’s trying to compensate you with my body? Tonight, get so proper sleep!"

Lu Shifeng’s eyes deepened, he hadn’t said much, yet who was the one with those thoughts?

In the dim light, she only wore a thin silk garnt, her hands clenching around him, half-kneeling, half-sitting on the floor. Her small head tilted up, and from his angle, he could see her jade-like beauty and a snowy hint of her chest, making his breath tighten, and his body heat up, with a certain part rising uncontrollably.

"Ah!" She noticed the change in his body, quickly letting go of his leg in fright.

Initially in a foul mood, Lu Shifeng suddenly wanted to laugh. This girl, monts ago so daring, was now scared into almost hiding in a corner, trembling.

He stood there, internally debating for a few seconds, another burning pain flaring in his stomach, furrowing his brow once more.

Forget it, I’ll settle this later.

Thinking this, Lu Shifeng ignored her and walked step by step towards the bedroom door.

"You’re still leaving?!" Behind him ca Su Xingyu’s voice, filled with grievance and disbelief. She rushed over in a few steps, clutching him again, inadvertently brushing a certain area of his body, causing him to gasp.

"Let go..." His throat moved, struggling to control himself, his voice low and dangerous.

Frightened, she closed her eyes, clutching him tightly, saying, "I don’t care, you’re not leaving tonight, you... ah!"

She scread, feeling a heavy weight press on her. Opening her eyes in panic, she found him on top of her. With a certain part pressed against her, he struggled to control himself: "You can still leave now."

She was terrified, looking at him with tearful eyes, like a startled fawn, as if not understanding how things could have escalated like this.

"You... aren’t you sick..." she stamred.

In his arms, the girl was soft and warmly fragrant, seeming as if a gentle touch would turn her into a puddle of water. He frowned, suppressing the urge to devour her, hoarsely warning her: "So what if I’m sick? Dealing with you doesn’t take much effort."

"...!" Despicable man!

Su Xingyu cursed him in her heart, nearly in tears.

His breath ward her cheek: "I’ll give you three seconds, three... two..."

"Don’t think you can scare !" She took the plunge, closed her eyes, and decided, "Tonight, I’m staying with you, no more tricks!"
