Before Galatea could retort, a gust of wind rushed past as Kara grabbed his mother midair, landing gently on the ground. She steadied her, concern in her voice.
"Are you okay?"
Miss Blackwynd blinked rapidly, her mind struggling to process the blonde-haired superhuman standing in front of her. She studied Kara's face, then let out a slow breath.
"I suppose you're Kara... and not her.."
Kara offered a reassuring smile. "Yeah, I am."
A sharp sound of shifting debris cut through their mont as Galatea stood up from the crater Arthur had just sent her into. She rolled her shoulders, cracking her neck, her piercing gaze locking onto the white-haired young man who had dared to land a hit on her.
A smirk curled at the edges of her lips.
"Ohhh, so it's you." Her tone was casual, but there was an underlying challenge in it. "You're that Arthur."
Arthur's glowing blue eyes didn't waver. "I'm not gonna ask why you're here, but considering you were after my family... this naturally has to do with ."
Galatea scoffed, placing a hand on her hip. "Yes, Captain Obvious."
And then she moved.
A blur of speed.
Before Arthur could react, her fist smashed into his raised forearms, barely giving him ti to form a cross-block. The impact sent a shockwave rippling through the air.
Then...BOOM.
Arthur was launched like a bullet, crashing through the Blackwynd estate's outer walls and vanishing into the distance.
Kara's eyes widened slightly. "Arthur!"
Galatea dusted off her knuckles, a smug grin forming. "Huh. Thought he'd be tougher."
Kara's head snapped toward her, her expression shifting from concern to steely determination.
"You just attacked an innocent family."
Galatea rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. Save the self-righteous speech. I didn't kill anyone."
Before the tension could snap, the rubble from Arthur's crash site shook.
A deep rumble echoed as a figure erged.
Arthur stepped out of the wreckage, dust rolling off his shoulders. His jaw was clenched, his body straightening.
"Damn." He flexed his fingers, rolling his wrists. "She's really not holding back."
His glowing blue eyes sharpened "Co out
