Chapter 9: 08 | Ugh... Alphas
There was a frown on Blue's face. Of all the tis and of all the places, this useless Alpha just had to make a scene here...
Blue felt that he was tipsy and that if he got physical with the old man, there was a chance that his pheromones would seep out and trouble would take over.
As a Dominant Oga, though Blue's gender was considered superior in the Oga departnt, he loathed it. Blue didn't hate being an Oga. He might have hated it in the past, but now he didn't.
What he hated was being a 'Dominant Oga'. It would have been really good if he was a regular Oga, and even better if he was a Recessive Oga.
In fact, Blue had been secretly trying to get himself to beco a Recessive Oga, but that was a topic for another day.
Recessive Ogas were the most superior gender in Blue's opinion. They had pheromones, they could sense pheromones, they could also be fertile, but each in small proportions.
A Recessive Oga could be in heat and no one would notice. An Alpha could be using their pheromones on them, but it would be hard for them to get influenced. Giving birth, though uncommon, was not at all that rare for Recessive Ogas.
They had the best benefits amongst all the genders. Luckily for them. And unluckily for Blue.
"Sweet thing, you don't want
to buy you a drink?" The pot-bellied man reached to place a hand on the female Oga, but he was stopped by the people sitting around her.
Two Betas—thankfully—shoved him away and stood up for the female Oga.
"What the hell do you think you're doing? Get away from her!" Soone exclaid.
"Dirty old pervert! Leave this place!"
The pot-bellied man suddenly grew annoyed and irritated as those words were said to him.
"Fucking Betas. Leave my sight, you useless humans!" The pot-bellied man spat with annoyance.
The air in the pub was extrely hot and icy cold at the sa ti at that mont. Blue emptied his glass. He'd had just about enough.
He slamd his glass down on the table, so loud that everyone had no choice but to look at him.
Spotting Blue, the pot-bellied man's eyes grew with hunger and perversity. The two other n behind him,who had been keeping quiet, suddenly jerked into action as they noticed Blue and began to misbehave as well.
"What a beautiful Oga," one of them said.
"Wonder how his pheromones sll," the other one said, causing the pot-bellied man's mouth to drool as he drifted into a satisfying daydream.
Blue noticed the looks on the n's faces and he felt like using his hands to disfigure them. Blue stood up from his seat and was about to walk out of the booth when he felt himself getting restrained.
Blue turned around, ready to punch the person who was holding him back, but stopped when he realized that the person was Adam. Adam was wearing an extrely cautious and worried look on his face as he held onto Blue's hand tightly.
"What is it? Let
go." Blue demanded in a hurry, suddenly losing the patience to put up with the three disgusting old Alphas any second longer.
"Let you go? For what?!" Adam spoke in a whisper-yell, but the people seated close to them could clearly hear what he was saying. "Are you forgetting that you're an Oga and that they're Alphas?"
Those who heard Adam's words grew stiff. Most especially Blue.
There were so many things wrong with that single question of his. Putting aside the fact that he was the president of the Empowernt club, which was founded to protect Ogas and their rights and also to educate Ogas that they should not feel as though they were inferior to Alphas.
Yet, such a question was coming out from Adam's own mouth.
But he was speaking facts.
At the end of the day, though the Empowernt club held rallies, conventions, get-togethers, and other things to encourage fellow Ogas, it was only just talking and saying convincing words.
And as everyone in the world knew, actions spoke louder than words.
An Alpha's actions could kill an Oga before they were even able to speak any words. Every Oga knew this.
But Blue chose to ignore this.
He ripped his hand from Adam's grip aggressively and frowned at him as he said, "Fuck you."
Watching this, Winter was tempted to make a burn sound with his teeth to show how invested he was in the drama that was unfolding. But for his perfect reputation's sake, he could only pretend to be worried for Blue as the latter walked over to the drunk n.
Winter, unlike Adam, wasn't worried about Blue. In fact, he even wanted sothing bad to happen to Blue as he confronted the Alphas. Then, he would be able to swoop in and save Blue at the last minute, showing that he was a perfect gentleman in a den of untrustworthy Alphas.
But Winter was annoyed with two things.
The first thing was Blue's stubbornness and self-righteousness.
Who did Blue really think he was to confront drunk perverted Alphas? Cases with such kinds of Alphas have led to r*pe and murder in the past, present, and most likely even in the future. And they happened even in broad daylight with a crowd watching.
The second thing that annoyed Winter was the other mbers of the Empowernt club. They were watching a fellow mber get harassed without speaking up and were ready to watch a fragile Oga take the lead and play hero.
The funny part was that there were actually Alphas in the pub right now! Was everyone so cowardly these days!?
Winter excluded himself from the cowardly Alphas who were not making any moves to help because he felt that he was different from them.
If this sa thing were to be happening in a place where Blue was not present, Winter would've been the first to drive away the drunk Alphas to a police station.
But Blue was here. And he liked watching his prey in action. In summary, he was a good man, unlike everyone else. He was just being inactive now for special entertainnt purposes.
Once Blue reached the Alphas, their eyes glinted with excitent, thinking that Blue's action of coming over to them ant he was interested in them the sa way they were interested in him.
"You're a Dominant Oga, aren't you? Hehehe." The pot-bellied man smiled pervertedly. "I'm a project manager at a Dumont company subsidiary. Co with
and I'll show you a good ti."
Everyone's backs straightened in their seats at those words. While Winter almost laughed out loud. How good was this situation? This man worked for a subsidiary of Winter's family's company. Was there a coincidence much funnier than this one?
Winter didn't think so.
After saying those words, the man thought that Blue would be impressed by him. But out of everyone in the pub, Blue was the only person who wasn't at all impressed. In fact, his face seed to have gone dark in a scary manner.
Not a lot of people knew this, but along with Alphas, Blue also hated big conglorates. The reason? They always hired people like the sleazy Alpha standing before him.
"Are you sure you work at such a place?" Blue spoke up with a calm voice.
The mbers of the club present in the pub began to think that Blue was actually considering doing whatever the man wanted him to do as soon as he heard that he worked at such a powerful place.
So Ogas began to sneer openly at Blue. He had never spoken to anyone with such a calm and polite tone before. Yet he was being so respectful towards an Alpha who dared to harass one of their own just because he said he worked at a Dumont company subsidiary.
'Tch. Hypocrite!' The mbers of the club thought in unison.
"Of course I do!" The man exclaid, then eagerly pulled out his company ID card to show Blue in order to prove his point.
Blue scanned the card with his eyes and truly, this man was not lying. It made Blue madder sohow. He flicked the card back to the man and sighed heavily.
The alcohol he had drank was currently weighing him down, but Blue refused to not cause a scene before going ho tonight.
"You fucking idiot..." Blue said with a calm voice.
Everyone was taken aback. Winter didn't even bother hiding the amused smile that appeared on his lips as everyone's attention was focused on Blue, sparing him the chance to expose his real self.
"Wh-what are you... ?!" The pot-bellied man was at a loss for words.
Blue smiled in an oddly sweet manner, then said, "Let
correct myself: you fucking idiots."
Blue decided to include the Alphas standing behind the pot-bellied man, as well as everyone else in the pub. But as for the latter group of people, they were not yet aware that they were part of the 'fucking idiots'.
"Aye! Who are you calling an idiot! Just because you are—"
"Just because I am what?" Blue cut off one of the drunk Alphas rudely. "An Oga, right? And you three are Alphas, hm?"
The three n naturally nodded. There was not much to say. The difference between Alphas and Ogas was more vast than the ocean.
Blue laughed to himself and muttered, "Ugh... Alphas."
Then suddenly, all hell broke loose.
