Chapter 88: 86 | Not Broken

The words of Blue were able to pull everyone’s attention towards him. They all had the sa question in their head—’What was the real face of Preston?’

"Blue! Stop it!" Atlas rebuked Blue with a loud voice, his face completely changing.

If Blue was scared by Atlas, he didn’t show it because he totally ignored him, focusing on what he wanted to do.

"What I’m about to say is totally controversial. It’s obvious my brothers don’t want

to say it. But if not now? Then when?" Blue was speaking with a strange smile on his lips.

The paparazzi and dia got really close after hearing the word, ’controversial’.

"Preston was a very stupid man. A very cruel and stupid man. You wanna know why he was stupid? This dumb man valued power over anything else. Even his own blood. Hmm, yes. Let

tell you what this late father of mine thought of Ogas." Blue spoke very quickly, moving around and refusing to remain on one spot.

"The man thought Ogas were weak trash. Forget that bullshit persona he used to put up about equality and justice. This was the sa man who almost disowned

when I manifested as an Oga. But when he discovered I was dominant, slightly different from regular Ogas, he decided to keep .

"No, I’m not abusing the word, ’keep’. He really did keep , like a pet." Blue nodded his head to his own words, almost reassuring himself that the things he was saying were true and not make-believe.

"But the funny thing is that this man. This particular person you’re all here for is capable of pimping. Don’t look so surprised, I was his first prostitute. Yeah, that’s the word. I was his first prostitute whom he frequently pimped out to several Alphas.

"They would receive money in exchange for giving

a temporary mark. Haha. It happens, don’t look too surprised. It was all so I could retain my ’dominant’ quality. That was the only thing useful about this black sheep of a child standing in front of you here today." Blue gestured to himself as he spoke.

Winter was aggravated on the spot he was standing. He was of the belief that Preston used to molest Blue. He was so far off from the truth! Winter had no clue that this was what Blue wanted to do here today.

Blue had only asked for his support so he could uncover Preston’s real face at the service. If Winter had known, he wouldn’t have...

Winter didn’t complete his train of thought as he sighed out loud. Cause fuck, even if he had known, there would still be nothing he would be able to do. He just wished that he could’ve held Blue in support while all of this happened.

This was because Blue looked like he needed to be held, supported. He frequently laughed mockingly at himself as he spoke with an unfamiliar smile on his face. Winter didn’t know what to make of these actions.

He just knew that he needed to be with Blue.

"Ah... but that’s not all. This shouldn’t co off as a surprise to everyone, but you see him, my first brother Atlas, and the other one, Eliot. Yeah yeah, them. Get good photos of them. They were also in cahoots with my father to destroy ." Blue hastily pointed out because at this ti, Atlas was tired of remaining composed.

He took angry strides towards Blue who was actually waiting for him to co over. No one else was brave enough to do so, recalling Blue’s earlier threat of breaking their jaws.

"Ahh, you don’t want your real face to be revealed—" The mic was ripped away from Blue and thrown on the ground by Atlas.

Blue did not show a single sign of fear standing up against his brother who could be said to be three tis his own size.

Atlas grabbed onto Blue’s arm in an attempt to drag him out of the service. Blue did not simply let himself get dragged.

"Let go of , you motherfucker!" Blue cussed, kicking Atlas on the back of his knee, causing him to put a pause in his movent.

At that sa ti, Winter ca to Blue’s rescue, ripping him free from Atlas’s grip. And surprisingly, Winter ca with a hand microphone and gave it to Blue.

"Thank you," Blue said to Winter, then winked at him. "I’m gonna wrap this up very quickly."

Blue then ran away and left Winter to handle Atlas.

"Oh, where was I? Sorry for the disruption. I was talking about my abusive and oppressive brothers. Man, it’s really hard being the only Oga in a family of Alphas. I couldn’t even contest against them. Any little protest and I would get smothered with choking pheromones." Blue shook his head as he spoke.

His voice was light, but his words were heavy. It was not normal in any way for Alphas to use their pheromones on their own family. Especially their oppressing pheromones. Using them against an Oga was already a huge no-no. Not to talk of using them against an Oga that was related to them.

"You guys can see how my brothers are trying to stop

from exposing them. If it was years ago, all they had to do was release their pheromones and I would go quiet. I’ve really co far, haven’t I? I put up with them for so long due to fear, then ignorance.

"But no more. I’ve suffered, haven’t I? And the main cause of my suffering is already dead, unable to take responsibility for what I am today—a broken Oga. But it’s fine. As long as you guys can cancel out the Kent family, I’m good.

"Not asking for too much, am I? It’s just unfair for such people to be looked up to when they’re not better than the criminals you see locked up in cells for abuse. They’re worse than animals..." Blue’s voice dropped down to a whisper at his last sentence.

As fate would have it, he turned around and realized that he was standing close to the open coffin. Dead Preston Kent looked so different. Blue didn’t see the man on his last days but it was clear that he had emaciated so much that he beca hollowed out.

Blue didn’t feel pity for the corpse inside the coffin. His anger wasn’t even present any longer. Blue also couldn’t say that he completely felt nothing. He didn’t even know how to describe the way he felt.

It was between pleasant and displeased.

"Are you okay?" Soone tapped Blue on the shoulder, bringing him back to the present.

Blue’s eyes shook before steadying once he realized that it was Winter who touched him. He turned off the mic and nodded, saying, "Yeah, I’m fine."

"Are you sure?" Winter pressed on with concern.

Blue still responded with the sa words, further showing that he was, in fact, not fine.

"Let’s go ho." Winter put an arm around Blue’s shoulders.

The paparazzi had already surrounded Atlas and Eliot with millions of questions, staying clear from Blue after being threatened by Winter not to co close to them.

The people who had attended the funeral were still surprised at the amount of information revealed to them. So of them were fellow pro-boxers, others were distinguished n of the society. In fact, no one in attendance was a small person.

Blue was sure that among them, there were certainly Alphas who had once marked him. But because he couldn’t clearly rember the faces of any of the Alphas, he couldn’t call them out.

Blue believed that in due ti, they would all receive what was coming to them for their past actions.

Blue and Winter settled into Winter’s car. Before taking off, Winter said to Blue, "You’re not a broken Oga."

Blue, who had been in over his own thoughts, said, "Huh?"

"You said that you were, but you’re not a broken Oga." Winter said again.

Blue looked at him without saying any words.

"You’re perfect the way you are. Nothing else matters. You’re not broken, you’re not trash, you’re not a black sheep, you’re just who you are—Blue." Winter said deeply, looking into Blue’s eyes.

Blue wanted to make a joking comnt about really being broken, but faced with the sincere expression Winter was wearing, he couldn’t.

"You’re not broken." Winter repeated himself.

"I’m not broken." Blue echoed.

Winter nodded, satisfied with Blue’s words, then leaned towards him and placed a chaste kiss on his lips.

"Always remind yourself of that, okay?" Winter said.

Blue nodded, then thought to himself, ’How would you know if I’m not truly broken?’
