Chapter 149: 147 | It Hurts
Blue was with the doctor for too long. Too long that it gave Winter the ti to think about everything.
’How could I have been so careless? How dare I leave Blue all alone when I fully know that he’s pregnant and has pheromone disorder? What the fuck is wrong with ??’
The whole idea of him and Blue not living together in the sa house had never appealed to him front the start. The only reason why he never brought it up again after Blue told him for the first was because he didn’t want to co off as too strong.
He was too prideful and had hoped Blue would realize that living alone was sad and lonely, which would make him give up and return to Winter’s house.
Winter had forgotten to account for the fact that Blue was the most stubborn person in the entire world. He’d rather suffer and die in silence, than admit he was wrong in doing sothing.
Winter all too familiar with Blue’s stubbornness, yet he’d let him be.
’I shouldn’t have. I shouldn’t have been stubborn as well. I know that I can never win against Blue. Why did I have to fuck up so badly?’
As Winter blad himself for Blue’s situation that may or may not have anything to do with him, he paced around the hospital.
Just outside the ER, both of Winter’s hands were placed on the back of his head as he sunk himself down the pit of depressing thoughts.
anwhile, Kendall was sitting down, watching Winter break down second by second. He would have relished this mont had it not been Blue that was the main cause of Winter’s state.
Kendall felt bad for Blue. It was already sad enough that he had pheromone disorder and Winter was his alpha as well as the father of his child, now he had to go through spontaneous stuff like this?
Kendall could still rember the sight of Blue’s neck when he peeked at it. It was scary. Kendall had never seen glands that looked like that before.
What exactly was wrong with Blue? Was it not so ordinary pheromone disorder that was bothering him? What the heck was that sight?
"Hey, Winter, hey!" Kendall called out to Winter.
Winter, who was in over his head, didn’t even hear Kendall call out to him. Kendall had to stand up and grab Winter to stay still.
"Get a grip of yourself, man!" Kendall yelled into Winter’s face and trembling hands.
"Calm down. We’re already at the hospital. Blue is already getting treated and is going to be fine. So stop pacing around like he’s dead or sothing and get a grip." Kendall said to Winter.
It took a mont for his words to sink into Winter’s brain and have him nodding in understanding.
"You’re right. He’s going to be fine," Winter reassured himself.
"Good. Okay. Now, has Blue ever been in a situation like this? His pheromones going haywire and his glands looking like death?" Kendall questioned.
Winter began to shake his head negatively but stopped himself. If he could rember, sothing like this had happened before. Almost two tis.
Both were before Blue even gave him any face and decided to date him. The first ti, he hadn’t actually seen Blue’s neck, but his pheromones...
It was when Blue had been inside the bathroom. At the ti, they were still at Chestfield, and Winter had gone to get him a nurse. Not only had Blue ignored his aid, he’d also pretended like there was nothing wrong with him.
The second ti was when Blue had stood him up on a ’date’, and he had invited himself to Blue’s house. Blue’s pheromones and his neck, but were in terrible condition.
But both occasions couldn’t compare to this present one.
Blue didn’t even wake up even after all the things that had been going on around him. What exactly could be wrong with Blue?
"I don’t know. Maybe. But sothing like this hasn’t happened before." Winter said in response to Kendall’s previous question.
"What do you an?" Kendall asked again.
As Winter opened his mouth to blurt out more nonsense, a voice spoke over his own.
"Winter?" A feminine voice called out as a woman quickly made her way out of the ergency room.
"Which was of you is Winter?" The woman was dressed in a nurse’s uniform as she approached Winter and Kendall.
". I am. I’m Winter," Winter stepped forward, his voice sounding too eager and hopeful.
"The patient has been calling for you. If you can stay by his side while we–"
"Of course!" Winter agreed without thinking or allowing the nurse to complete her sentence.
Kendall, who was standing behind, ntally facepald himself at Winter’s expense.
"Well, okay then. Co with ." The nurse got past Winter’s enthusiasm and led him towards the ER.
When Winter got to the room, he saw that Blue was locked down to the bed in an upright position and his glands seed to be blocked by a heavy pheromone isolator.
"The doctor is an alpha," the nurse quickly explained to Winter when she noticed where his eyes landed on.
Blue’s eyes were opening and closing as his head turned from left to right. His body was also shaking, but he lacked the opportunity to move his body freely because of the straps binding him.
Winter’s heart broke in pieces as he walked over to Blue.
Right on cue, Blue’s eyes widened and he saw Winter.
"Winter. Winter. Winter..." Blue called out.
"I’m here. I’m here," Winter reached for Blue’s face and cupped his cheek.
Blue smiled weakly. He wanted to reach out and placed his hand above Winter’s hand but he felt restrained and couldn’t lift his arm.
"Winter... it hurts..." Blue said.
Winter’s eyes widened with alert. "What hurts? Where are you feeling pain? Tell ."
Winter badgered Blue for an answer. The doctor and nurses watched their interaction intently, hoping to get more intel on Blue’s situation from Blue’s own mouth.
"It hurts. It hurts. It hurts, Winter." Blue only repeated, shaking his head and letting out moans of pain.
"I’m sorry. It’s going to be okay. You’re going to be f–"
"My stomach. It hurts, Winter. It hurts." Blue cried.
"He just said his stomach hurts, is the child going to be alright!?" Winter turned to the doctor and nurses, demanding an answer from them.
"Everything is going to be fine," one of the nurses reassured Winter.
Then another one placed an oxygen mask over Blue’s face as he continued to cry that he was hurting.
Winter wanted to cry as well, seeing Blue’s eyes roll to the back of his head as the anaesthetic began to take effect.
Winter suddenly felt sothing pinch his finger. He looked down and saw that Blue had stretched out through the straps to touch him.
Winter imdiately sandwiched Blue’s hands with his own.
"Everything will be fine, I promise," Winter made a promise to Blue that he wasn’t sure he would be able to keep it.
Before Blue lost consciousness completely, he mouthed sothing to Winter. Winter read Blue’s lips movent that conveyed the word: liar.
Blue’s had already been closed when Winter said, "I didn’t an to lie."
The nurses drove Winter out of the room imdiately afterwards so they could focus on Blue and check his stomach which he said hurt.
Before Winter was pushed completely out of the room, he asked the dical professionals: "Are Blue and the baby going to be alright?"
He was t with silence. No one responded to his question with the words, "Everything is going to be fine."
Winter could only see the tense expression on their faces as they focused their attentions on Blue.
Winter left the ER feeling less hopeful than he did when he walked in.
Author has sothing to say: Sorry for the late update today, guys.
I had a serious asthma attack and the hospitals I went to (four in total) were all incompetent.
The Chapter was planned to have more clinical in-depth and whatnot but I couldnt write it well cause I’m still at a hospital and inhaling the sickly hospital air that’s making
even more sick.
On a scale of one to ten, how much do you guys hate butt injections?
I literally saw my life flash before my eyes when a nurse brought out a needle. Why can’t all dicine be tablets or be in gas form?
WHO THE HELL INVENTED INJECTIONS?
Sorry for ranting too much, I’m kinda dizzy right now and feel like venting. By tomorrow when I’m totally fine (i hope), I’ll release more Chapters and probably apologize for wasting y’alls ti with this annoying rant.
That’s all for now, guys. Your comnts, power stones, golden tickets, and gifts go a long way to motivate . Thank you guys for sticking so long.
