Chapter 12: 11 | Apologize

Blue had a morning class. It was one that he had the intent to skip but after finding out that there was going to be a quiz worth twenty points, he had no choice but to hit the shower and get ready.

Blue was dressed in a white top with li green shorts and a pair of sneakers. He wore a li green bucket hat as well because it was incredibly sunny today.

Upon walking into his departnt, Blue could sense people gossiping about him and pointing fingers at him.

'What did I do this ti?' Blue asked himself, ntally rolling his eyes.

He got the answer to his own question after settling down for class and taking out his phone to go through the school's forum.

He began to read all the comnts made about him because of what happened the previous night. Blue didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

People were now judging him for attacking low lives who were harassing an Oga. No one even cared to ntion what the Alphas had done to warranty the beating that they received from Blue.

All they cared about was that Blue was a violent Oga who got away with his actions. Blue was not angry because of the views that people had about him.

It wouldn't be the first, second, third, or even twentieth ti that he had done sothing which he thought was right but all other people could see was him doing wrong and being an Oga.

Blue had co to terms with the fact that no matter what he did, he would always have ninety-nine haters and one unconcerned passerby out of a hundred people.

The class began to fill up gradually and soon after, the lecturer arrived for the quiz. Unlike the other students, whose heads were filled with gossip about what was happening around Chestfield, Blue's mind was clear as he filled in the answers to the quiz and submitted before the ti was up.

Imdiately after doing so, he planned to go back ho to write (relax). He didn't have any other classes for the day and there was nothing else to do, so why not spend ti chilling?

Blue hadn't even properly stepped out of campus when a crowd of people blocked his way. Blue was about to snap, telling them not to block the way. However, when he saw the person standing in the middle of the crowd, who was causing all the fuss, his words died down in his throat.

"Ohh, thank you very much for this. I'll make sure to use it well." A polite masculine voice spoke out and dozens of Ogas squealed with excitent.

Winter was standing with his arms filled with several ointnts and tonics. There was a crowd of Ogas surrounding him, eager to contribute to his betternt.

"Here's this tonic. My grandma brewed it. It has a lot of rich ingredients and—"

"Ow!" Winter suddenly exclaid with a weak tone, and the things in his hands slipped. But luckily, everyone around him was quick to catch them before they landed on the ground.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't an to let go of them. It's just that, my hand..." Winter trailed off pitifully.

Everyone's eyes turned to his hand that was wrapped around with bandages. Sympathetic expressions were painted over all of their faces.

"Sunshine Prince, we are so sorry for heaping all of these things on your injured hand. We shouldn't have. Please forgive us."

"I will take my own things back. I can't bear to see you in pain."

"Don't worry. We won't crowd your hand with things anymore. We're so sorry. Forgive us, just this once please."

"Be careful with your hand so it doesn't start bleeding again."

"My poor baby, we didn't an to hurt you."

Blue watched all of this with a 'wtf' expression on his face. Were these Ogas having challenges with their IQ? Why... just why were they flocking around an Alpha who literally had zero interest in them?

Blue didn't need to have supernatural eyesight to see that the Alpha wasn't interested in their tonics and ointnts, which was why he was faking the severity of his injury.

Also, Blue recognized that Alpha. Blue suddenly rembered he had been the one to cause the wound on the Alpha's hand the previous night by biting down hard.

'Serves him right.' Blue thought. Who asked him to co in between a perfectly good beat down? The Alpha was the one who ca looking for trouble and got what he was looking for.

Just as Blue was having that smug thought, Winter's eyes caught sight of him. No one could see how Winter's green eyes glinted with excitent in the second that he spotted Blue.

With Blue now around, Winter could get rid of the Ogas surrounding him. Finally.

With a bright smile on his face, Winter lifted his good hand and waved at Blue as he called out, "Hey, Blue! Hey! Hi! Good morning!"

Of course everyone turned their attention to the person whom Winter was calling out to in such a cheery manner. Their gazes turned sour when they saw the person was that Blue.

Even the passersby who were going and coming out of campus lingered around to witness what was happening.

Blue, himself, saw that he was being called upon and looked at the owner of the voice. There was a perplexed look on Blue's face as he stared at Winter.

'Why is this Alpha calling out to ?' Blue thought. 'Is he in the mood for another bite?'

Seeing that he had captured Blue's attention, Winter imdiately made his way out of the crowd and walked over to Blue, still wearing a dazzling bright smile on his face.

Unfortunately, Blue was not srized by Winter's smiling face. He couldn't even be bothered by it.

There was a frown on Blue's face as he said, "What? What is it? Why are you calling out to ? What do you want?"

His voice was filled with arrogance that even people from a mile away could sense that he was being rude and snobbish to Winter.

If Winter noticed this himself, he didn't show it because there was still a smile on his lips.

"Oh, I wanted to treat you to coffee. That's all."

Everyone in the area: "..."

Blue had '???' stamped on his forehead after Winter said those words.

"Why would I..." Blue pointed at himself, "... be willing to let myself get treated to coffee by you?" Blue then pointed at Winter.

"It is because I want to apologize." Winter spoke with a shy voice as his good hand t the back of his neck in an awkward manner.

Everyone watching the scene was rooted to the spots where they were standing with confused looks on their faces.

If anyone between the two people was supposed to be apologizing and treating the other person to coffee, it should be Blue instead. Why was Winter being the one to apologize and offering to treat the other to coffee?

What was going on?

Blue also wanted to know what was going on. He was so confused.

"Why do you want to apologize? For existing?" Blue asked slowly.

As far as Blue was concerned, the only apology that this Alpha owed to him was the apology for existing in the world as an Alpha. Other than that, Blue didn't see anything wrong that the Alpha had done to him personally.

Winter let out a chuckle at Blue's inquiry, not finding any offense with it. But not everyone was like Winter. The Ogas were already putting on their battle gear to go to war with Blue for indirectly insulting their very own innocent Sunshine Prince.

"It's not that. I wanted to apologize for restraining you like that and causing you to lose your cool. If I hadn't interrupted you so rashly, things wouldn't have escalated like that. It is all my fault. I'm very sorry." Winter spoke with a very earnest tone, that he was, of course, faking.

Blue was still wearing a '???' stamp on his forehead.

What sort of unwarranted apology was this? Was this guy looking for attention? Why was he putting unnecessary bla on himself? What the fuck was going on here?

So many questions spun inside Blue's head as he tried to understand what was going on.

"Also, I wanted to apologize on behalf of those scum Alphas." Winter said.

Blue's expression darkened. It seed like this guy liked to bear the cross for his gender. Blue could still rember the ti that so foolish Alphas had co to make trouble with him at Dot's Café.

There, even though the Alpha standing in front of him right now hadn't done anything, he still ca to apologize on the behalf of the other Alphas.

Now, he was doing the sa thing—apologizing for those scum Alphas that he may not even know personally. What was the point in doing all of these things?

"Why should you be the one to apologize on their behalf? Who do you think you are? The ssiah?" Blue spoke with an irritated tone.

Winter shook his head negatively and said, "I am apologizing because those n are workers under my family's company. The reason why they had the audacity to go around doing such things was because they must have thought that my family's company would back them up."

This was the day that it was revealed that Winter Dumont was actually the heir to the Dumont dynasty!
