Chapter 103: 101 | Extrely Rude
The next morning, Blue was feeling sick. Imagine puking right after waking up. Not only that, his entire body was hurting, especially the back of his neck.
Even if he was the type of person to pretend like he wasn’t easily affected by supervisor stuff, Blue knew his limits. There was no way he’d be able to push through on set this sick.
So he phoned Ken and explained his symptoms. Ken, knowing fully well that Blue wasn’t lying as he’d been looking unwell recently, easily gave his consent and even told Blue to take the entire week off.
Seeing as there was nothing much or complex to shoot anymore. They were going for the small scenes and shooting closeups. He could rest easy at ho.
Blue felt glad that he was getting a break. He decided to sleep in. However, it was impossible for him to sleep comfortably as he kept hearing drilling and hamring noises from next door.
"Arghhhh!" Blue scread in annoyance into his pillow before sitting up on the bed with a frown on his face.
All he wanted to do was rest. Was that too much to ask from the universe?
Just as he had that thought, there was a loud bang sound. Steam ca out from his ears. Blue was forced to stand up from his bed with a comforter wrapped around his body.
He walked to his front door and opened it aggressively. Right outside of it were piles of boxes. Boxes that he had almost kicked away in anger the previous night.
Blue got the strong urge to strangle sothing. Better yet, soone.
Right on cue, the opposite door was opened and two n wearing construction uniforms walked out to pick up the boxes on the floor, absolutely ignoring Blue.
They were about to walk back into the house when Blue stopped them saying, "What are you guys doing?"
His tone was extrely rude. The workers turned to look at him. In their eyes, Blue was a little Oga wrapped in a white comforter with a red face and a pair of glassy eyes.
The intimidating front that Blue wanted to put wasn’t working for him at all.
The n glanced at the boxes in their head, then glanced inside the house before their eyes settled back on Blue.
The ssage they wanted to pass with their eyes was very clear—They were obviously working here.
If Blue understood, he didn’t show it, judging by his next question.
"Do you people have to be so loud?" While asking this question, his voice was loud enough to overwhelm the constant hamring sound from inside the house.
"Listen, sir—"
"Hi!" A polite masculine voice spoke over one of the workers’ voices as a new person stepped out of the house.
Blue recognized the person easily. It was the sa person he had t the previous night. Blue’s sour expression turned extra sour.
The guy picked up on it and blushed with embarrassnt. He made a gesture to the workers to show that he would deal with Blue before focusing his full attention on the irritated Oga.
"I’m sorry. I didn’t get to introduce myself to you the previous night. I’m Kendall Cohen. I just moved in, and I’m trying to get the place ready. I spoke to the other neighbors yesterday and told them that it’s going to be really busy and noisy today so they would know beforehand.
"I would’ve inford you too but I didn’t know soone lived across. I only t you last night and..." The guy trailed off, seeing as they both knew what happened last night.
Though tired, Blue had been extra rude to him and walked inside his house without having to hear what Kendall wanted to say.
Blue felt like facepalming himself but there was no use. And technically, it wasn’t entirely his fault, was it? He’d been tired! Every tired person had the right to get cranky when they wanted to rest and there was sothing standing in their way.
"I’m really sorry for the inconvenience." Kendall sincerely apologized.
Blue didn’t say a word. He just kept on looking at Kendall as though he was the greatest villain in the world who didn’t deserve to live.
"If you’d like, I can take you out to get coffee or sothing in the anti. The stand’s almost done." Kendall awkwardly offered.
Blue’s expression didn’t change.
"After today, I promise you won’t hear peep from my room. I’m actually very quiet and almost invisible. You won’t even know I live here, so—"
"Ugg!" Blue retched, then quickly covered his mouth as he was suddenly hit with the urge to gag.
Kendall’s eyes widened. He imdiately rushed to help Blue with sothing. At the sa ti, Blue rushed back into his house to throw up inside his toilet.
He emptied his guts out until his upper body beca even redder than the color of blood. While Kendall kept on patting his back and chanting encouraging remarks like, ’You’re doing good’, ’it’s okay, you’ll be fine’, and ’Yay! You’re almost there.’
The first thing Blue did after his episode was to push Kendall aside and wash his face and mouth. Once that was out of the way, he cruelly said, "Get out of my house."
Kendall’s expression fell hard the sa ti he began to fiddle with his fingers in disappointnt.
"I only wanted to help since you’re not feeling too well. I’m sorry for intruding. If you could just–"
Kendall’s eyes had already turned red by this ti as he stopped himself from speaking, looking as though he was about to cry.
Blue couldn’t help but sigh and say, "Whatever."
Kendall brightened right up after hearing those words. "Great! I’ll go get ready! I know a perfect café closeby!"
Blue was about to open mouth and ask what Kendall was going on about but the guy had already skipped out of his apartnt with a silly smile on his face.
It was in his absence that Blue rembered he had been asked out for coffee by Kendall just before he puked. Blue let out a frustrated sigh as he pushed his hair back from his forehead.
He just couldn’t catch a break.
Blue was forced to put on so proper clothes. They were not so much proper as it was only a white top and a pair of brown shorts with sandals.
By the ti he ca out from his house, Kendall was already standing right outside his door wearing a tracksuit with a pair of shades, a mask, and a bucket hat.
Blue looked at Kendall strangely. It was like a hundred degrees outside and he was wearing an outfit so ridiculous.
Kendall clearly understood the look he was receiving from Blue, making him chuckle a little as he said, "It’s cause of the face."
Blue didn’t know what to make of that response. Was it that he was too beautiful or what? Blue could admit that Kendall was really good looking but having put on such a getup just to eat outside was definitely not normal, was it?
And also, this guy was a Beta, right?
"Let’s get going." Kendall said with a light tone.
"Hold on a second." Blue spoke with a frown on his face. Then asked, "What are you?"
"Pardon?" Kendall questioned, confused.
"Alpha, Beta... which one?" Blue asked, which was very inconsiderate and rude of him as asking soone such a question was way beyond unconventional.
Once Kendall understood what Blue was going on about, he let out a breathy laugh and responded with, "I’m an Oga. Isn’t it obvious?"
’No. It’s not.’ Blue thought with a deadpan expression on his face.
Kendall was as tall as an average Alpha. He had a lean body and a pretty face, yes. However, he gave off the vibe of a Beta.
Blue concluded that he was a Recessive Oga in his head before nodding. As long as he wasn’t an Alpha, Kendall was okay in his eyes.
Kendall guided him to a café that was not too far from their building. They settled down at the corner. Kendall still didn’t take off what he was wearing even as a waitress ca to take their orders.
"So, you never told
your na," Kendall said to Blue in the absence of a waitress, trying to start a conversation.
"It’s Blue Kent." Blue responded in a dry manner.
"Blue... That’s a nice na. Is it because your hair is slightly blue in color or because of your eyes?" Kendall said.
"I don’t know." Blue said, not even giving the question a second thought.
What did his na matter anyway? Blue thought.
Kendall felt awkward. It was talking to a rock. He was about to bring up another topic when soone screeched next to them.
Author has sothing to say: it’s crazy how it took
this long to notice but Blue is such a tsundere. It’s so so so funny. ??????
