The Grand Line’s winds were always hungry—carrying the scent of salt, smoke, and ambition. A year had passed since the battle that reshaped the island beneath the Moby Dick’s anchor. A year since the Spade Pirates knelt before Whitebeard and rose again as brothers and sisters of the most legendary crew on the seas.

And Mandi—forrly Miss Monday, forrly a girl from another world—had beco sothing entirely new.

Morning ca early on Whitebeard’s ship. The deck was always alive before dawn—crews from every division sparring, cleaning, or cooking as the first light painted the sea pink.

Mandi stood on the upper deck, sweat slicking her bronze skin. She’d been up since before the bell. The scars of her training with Marco and Vista were written into her muscles. Every inch of her was precision now—every motion honed from hundreds of sparring matches, ditation sessions, and bruised lessons in Haki.

The air shimred faintly around her fists, faint sparks of invisible pressure forming as she exhaled.

"Not bad," ca Marco’s voice behind her. "You’re holding the reinforcent longer now."

She turned. Marco, in his usual laid-back stance, was shirtless and drinking coffee, his golden hair slightly mussed by the sea breeze. His phoenix tattoo caught the sunlight as he approached.

"Observation Haki’s fine," he said, "but Armant—that’s the backbone. You don’t think with it. You feel with it. Push too hard, and it leaks. Relax too much, and it fades."

"I know," Mandi replied, her dreadlocks tied up in a bun. Her knuckles glowed again, faintly black this ti. "But keeping it constant while moving—"

"—is exactly why we’re doing this every morning," Marco interrupted with a teasing grin. "Co on, show what you’ve got."

They moved to the sparring ring near the bow, surrounded by cheering pirates who loved watching Mandi train.

"Yo! Big Booty Monday’s fighting again!" one of the crew shouted.

"Shut it, idiot," another said. "She’ll hear you and crush your skull!"

She did hear. She smiled anyway.

"Try not to burn the ship this ti," Marco joked, as faint blue flas flickered around his body.

Mandi cracked her neck. "Try not to hold back too much."

They lunged.

Marco vanished, leaving only a flare of light, and reappeared above her. His flaming kick ca down fast.

Mandi raised her arm, coating it with invisible force just in ti. The impact sent a shockwave through the deck, but she held. The wood beneath her feet splintered, yet her stance didn’t waver.

"Good," Marco said as he landed and swept her leg.

Mandi ducked low, letting the kick pass, and pivoted with her own—her knee whistling through the air. Marco blocked with one arm, the strike ringing like tal on tal.

Haki against Haki. Pressure against pressure.

Each impact cracked the air.

Finally, Marco flared his phoenix wings and took to the sky. "That’s enough for now. You’re getting there."

Mandi wiped her forehead. "Getting there’s not good enough."

He smiled. "That’s what I said before I learned mine too."

III. Whitey Bay’s Test

Two months later, Mandi found herself facing Whitey Bay, the "Ice Witch," one of Whitebeard’s allied captains.

They t on a drifting ice floe sowhere near the New World border. The sea was frozen for miles—a perfect testing ground for Haki in the elents.

"You’re quite the hot head," Whitey Bay said, her breath misting in the cold air. "Let’s see if that heat can burn this ice."

Mandi smirked. "You’re on."

She stomped her foot. The ice cracked.

Overhaul.

The floe beneath them rose into jagged peaks. Mandi reshaped the frozen sea into a field of blades and bridges, turning the battlefield itself into her ally.

Whitey Bay grinned. "Good trick. But tricks won’t save you."

She vanished.

Mandi’s Observation Haki pulsed—sensing movent behind her a heartbeat before impact. She ducked, ice shards exploding where her head had been.

Her hand shot out, reshaping the ice into a wall. Bay smashed through it instantly, her sword coated in dark Armant Haki.

The clash sent frost and sparks flying.

Mandi gritted her teeth, coating her own fists in hardened Haki. She parried blow after blow, the sound sharp and rhythmic.

Bang. Clang. Bang.

Every strike left trails of pink frost and black lightning.

Then—

"Too slow!" Bay hissed, thrusting her sword toward Mandi’s heart.

Mandi twisted, Overhaul activating underfoot—ice liquefying and reforming into a spiral ramp. She slid up it, spinning, her heel wrapped in Haki.

She ca down like a cot.

The kick connected.

Bay was blasted backward, crashing into a tower of ice that shattered like glass.

When the mist cleared, both won were breathing heavily—but smiling.

Whitey Bay lowered her blade. "You’re ready. Observation, Armant—you’ve got both."

Mandi dropped her stance, panting. "Ready for what?"

"Whatever’s coming next."

A year passed almost without notice.

The Spade remnants had rged smoothly with Whitebeard’s n. Ace had beco the Second Division Commander, trusted by the old man himself. Mandi often joined him on raids, reconnaissance, or island defense.

But the ocean never let anyone stay still for long.

One morning, while eating breakfast on deck, she noticed Marco reading a newspaper. His expression darkened slightly.

"Another ss in the North Blue," he muttered, passing it to her.

Mandi took it, curiosity piqued.

Across the front page was a photo of a blond man with sunglasses and a cruel smile."Shichibukai Donquixote Doflamingo Crushes Rookie Pirates; World Governnt Shichibukai helping to keep the seas of the new world safe!"

Below, a smaller photo showed a young man in a spotted hat—half his face shadowed, eyes sharp as knives. Pirate Trafalgar Law, new super rookie erges in the North Blue?!

The na hit her harder than she expected.

The world blurred for a second, replaced by flickers of old mories—not her own, but Miss Monday’s. A smoky bar in North Blue. A teenage Law, injured, sitting across from a younger Miss Monday who patched him up after a fight.

"You’re gonna change this world, kid," the old Miss Monday had said. "Just don’t lose your heart doing it."

Mandi exhaled slowly, folding the paper. Law.

In another life, he’d been many female fans’ heart throb. In this one... maybe a invaluable ally.

She stood up suddenly.

"Where are you going?" Marco asked, brow raised.

"North Blue," she said simply. "There’s soone I need to et."

Later that day, she went to see Whitebeard.

The massive old man was napping in his chair, IV tubes dangling lazily as he snored. When she approached, one eye cracked open.

"Eh? Little Monday," he rumbled. "What’s got you looking so serious?"

"I need to take leave," she said.

The old man chuckled. "Going ho?"

She nodded. "Sothing like that."

Whitebeard shifted his weight, the Moby Dick creaking under him. "Just rember," he said, "ho isn’t a place. It’s the people you choose to protect."

"I’ll be back," she promised. "Stronger."

He smiled faintly. "Then go. But don’t do anything I wouldn’t do."

She laughed softly. "That doesn’t narrow things down much, old man."

The journey back was long, but the sea seed calr than usual—as if guiding her.

Mandi stood at the bow of a small ship lent to her by the 9th Division, her dreadlocks tied back, pink coat fluttering.

She looked at her reflection in a mirror as the waves flowed by —this new body, this life forged from two quirks and a world of violence—and smiled faintly.

Her powers humd within her core inmost being, restrained and waiting.

"I’m coming, Law," she murmured. "Let’s see what fate has waiting this ti."

The ship sailed north under moonlight.

Sowhere beyond the horizon lay a man chasing his own revenge, sowhere a storm was waiting to begin.
