I could see the disdain in Puriel's eyes, and I could sll her anger. My favorite emotion.

A sly smile tugged at the corners of my lips. “You know what kind of 'training' I an, right? It's pretty obvious," I teased. "I bet once their bodies get used to it, they'll be addicted to him. And when he's done, he'll toss them aside like yesterday's garbage," I continued, my voice turning smooth and sweet, like I was trying to cast so kind of flirty spell.

I leaned in closer, my gaze locking with hers. After all, I was the lord of wrath—I thrived on chaos and discord.

“Those who are already twisted will have a different fate, though," I mused. "They'll go looking for another man who's willing to treat them the sa way as the great leader did. It's a vicious cycle, isn't it?"

Her fists clenched in frustration. I knew she struggled to contain her emotions. Deep down, my words had struck a nerve.

However, my musings were soon interrupted by Puriel’s sharp gaze.

“You surely live by your title, huh, Azrael?” she spat, her tone dripping with contempt.

I responded with a saccharine smile, my deanor as sweet as honey. “Why, thank you for the complint," I replied, grinning evilly. “But you know —I'm just an honest devil, stating the facts as they are." I couldn't resist the urge to tease her further. “So--- can I kill him?" I asked, my voice dripping with faux innocence.

“No, I told you, I can’t do anything about the deal,” she said again, sounding a little frustrated. Guess that’s one of the annoying parts about being a goddess—her hands are tied when it cos to dishing out justice. Unlike us devils, who basically get to do whatever the hell we want.

And speaking of devils, there I was, reveling in the freedom that ca with my title.

'It's good to be the devil,' I thought smugly.

Unlike Puriel, who could only stand by and watch as the mortals ran amok, unable to intervene due to her divine constraints.

But ? I could punish them, oh yes, as long as I didn't overstep the boundaries of that pesky agreent. And while it may have been a thorn in my side at tis, it was a small price to pay for the satisfaction of seeing justice served.

"Right, but you don't mind if I do sothing like last ti, right?" I pressed.

Puriel shot a sidelong glance. “You an what you did to that woman? The one you dragged into the underworld along with her body?” she questioned, her tone laced with a hint of disapproval.

I snapped my fingers. "Bingo!" I said happily.

Puriel rolled her eyes, clearly unconvinced by my attempt. “What makes you think I'll be okay with that?” she sighed.

I shrugged, feigning innocence. "Hey, I didn't hurt her, did I?" I countered, flashing her a mischievous grin. "Also this bastard should have seen it coming, right? Trying to impersonate like that? It's practically an insult to my devilish reputation. I only gave him what he deserved,” I stated.

"Of course, after I dig through the information in his head, of course," I reassured her.

Puriel arched an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. "And what about the academy?" she pressed. "They had CCTV footage, and I'm sure the other cult divisions also know about us. They'll head straight to the academy, causing chaos to take revenge," she reminded .
