Ellie could still recall the excited look on her Master's face when he first saw just how quickly she was able to beco a Magician Apprentice, as well as how talented she was in mastering different spells.
All this ti, Ellie had been secretly proud, knowing full well that she was an once in a century genius!
Even in the Holy Church, a force that most Magicians in the continent were part of, her talent was truly extraordinary, matching the talent of those Magicians that were later able to beco Great Magicians and even Holy Magicians.
Seeing her talent, Ellie's Master didn't hold back at all, fully supporting her training.
Indeed, as expected, she was able to beco a peak Magician Apprentice in her early twenties and judging by her current progress, it wouldn't take long for her to beco a True Magician and officially beco a Priest of the Holy Church.
But now, when Ellie looked at Chu Wuyao, she felt that her talent was nothing to be proud of.
Her confidence was shattered.
With tal chains binding her four limbs, Ellie raised her head and looked blankly at the fireball that was dancing in Chu Wuyao's palm, her eyes filled with doubts.
She could rember that it was only a few days ago that Chu Wuyao ca to her and asked her for advice, making Ellie secretly disdainful.

Even if Chu Wuyao was very strong, Ellie knew very well that strength didn't matter at all when trying to beco a Magician.
Only talent is what matters.
Of course, she didn't dare to say this out loud, but started to patiently teach Chu Wuyao, hoping to keep her busy and delay as much ti as possible.
Ellie believed that sooner or later, her Master would realize that she was missing and would surely co to rescue her!
Unfortunately, it was exactly this decision that led to her current situation.
Since the start of her lessons with Chu Wuyao, she had beco numb.
On the first day, Chu Wuyao was sohow able to absorb magic elents and instantly beca a Magician Apprentice.
On the second day, she had beco entirely familiar with her strength and was able to cast spells easily, as if she had been practicing for decades.
Now, on the third day, Ellie had to admit that there was nothing else she could teach to Chu Wuyao.
"How? How is this possible?", she couldn't help but mutter in a low voice, questioning her life.
On the other hand, Chu Wuyao ignored Ellie's whispering voice, not knowing that the speed of her progress had shattered her confidence.
Even if she knew, she probably wouldn't care.
After Chu Wuyao played for a bit with the small fireball in her hand, her mind moved and the fireball instantly went out, disappearing.
Seeing this, Chu Wuyao nodded her head, knowing that she had mastered the Fireball spell.
Over the past few days, nothing had actually happened, as if the murder of the Holy Church's mbers had gone completely unnoticed.
This allowed Chu Wuyao to have enough free ti, spending most of it training as a Warrior or as a Magician.
That's right.
Although Chu Wuyao knew that it was very likely that there was a conspiracy behind her obtaining the book that recorded a Magician technique and spells, she still chose to practice.
In her opinion, whether there was a conspiracy or not didn't matter.
As long as she was strong enough, even if there was a conspiracy, it would never work against her.
Essentially, Chu Wuyao was betting that her speed of progress would allow her to get strong enough before she had to pay the "price" of obtaining this book.
"Although the status of Magicians in the Inheritance World is higher than that of Warriors, their power system is actually nothing special.", Chu Wuyao thought, shaking her head in disappointnt.
In short, Magicians in this world absorbed the surrounding magic elents and stored it in their mind, then used these elents to cast different spells.
This seed to be very similar to the process of cultivation, but there was a massive difference: these magic elents didn't increase the strength of the Magician's physical body, aning that they were very weak in frontal combat, possessing the physique of an ordinary mortal.
By now, Chu Wuyao had beco both a Warrior and a Magician and had a better understanding of these two power systems.
"Weak."
This was the evaluation that Chu Wuyao gave to these two professions.
In her opinion, whether it is Warriors or Magicians, they are actually very weak.
Compared to the power system of the Cultivation World, the thods of extraordinary people in the Inheritance World are actually quite lacking, as they have to choose between increasing their physical strength and obtaining the ability to cast spells.
Of course, it is possible for a person to train as both a Warrior and a Magician at the sa ti, but this was sothing that no ordinary person would choose to do.
After all, everyone's ti was limited.
Instead of wasting ti training in both of these professions, it would be way more efficient to focus on one and improve their strength as much as possible.
Realizing this, Chu Wuyao inevitably felt a little disappointed.
In the end, she could only shake her head.
Then, she brought up the previous system prompts, as well as the system panel.
[You killed a True Warrior. Sin Points 500]
[Your subordinates killed a True Magician. Sin Points 100]
[Your subordinates killed ten extraordinary people. Sin Points 10]
[Rank: Warrior Apprentice(780/1000), Magician Apprentice(1587/3000)]
[Spells: Fireball(82/100), Holy Shield(282/500),...]
[Sin Points: 4410]
It was the first ti that Chu Wuyao was able to obtain Sin Points for other people's killings, but she felt that it made complete sense.
Her subordinates killed people under her orders, aning that she was indirectly responsible for these deaths.
Unfortunately, the amount of Sin Points she obtained through this thod was very small, making it almost impossible to take advantage of this.
Still, she noted this thod down and then focused on her rank.
"With the speed of my progress, I should be able to beco a True Warrior by tomorrow.", Chu Wuyao thought and chose to not use her Sin Points for the ti being, saving it for the future.
After she made up her mind, Chu Wuyao no longer looked at the system panel, but looked at Ellie, wondering what she should do with her.
Over the past few days, through the lessons, the two people's relationship had beco sowhat strange, with Ellie's thoughts changing over ti.
Granted, Chu Wuyao knew that this was not enough for Ellie to forgive her for her companions' deaths.
With this in mind, Chu Wuyao stepped forward and leaned down, bringing her face close to Ellie's.
Feeling Chu Wuyao's hot breath brushing against her face, Ellie woke up from her thoughts, returning to reality.
When she found that Chu Wuyao's blue eyes were staring at her, her cheeks beca flushed and a strange emotion arose in her.
Although Ellie had been taken care of by her Master since she was little and had been sheltered all her life, she had still heard about the different relationships between people.
As she watched Chu Wuyao's lips co closer, her mind unconsciously rembered those obscene books she had unintentionally read in the past, causing her mind to wander.
However, just when many scenes had appeared in her mind, she noticed a sharp pain on the left side of her chest.
Looking down, she found that a hand had unknowingly penetrated the left side of her chest and was clutching her heart tightly, while a golden drop of liquid flew out of it and landed on her heart.
"Why?", she muttered in a low voice, but the next second, her body trembled and she felt an extre pain, as if millions of needles were pierced every part of her body.
"AGhh!"
Loud screams were soon heard in the room.
****
A few minutes later, Chu Wuyao glanced at the golden drop of blood that lay on the ground, surrounded by four tal chains.
Ellie was nowhere to be seen, having completely disappeared from the room, as if she had never been here before.
"The experint failed...", Chu Wuyao thought, her face remaining calm.
Having seen the previous success of her experint with Yue Zhilan, Chu Wuyao originally believed that she had gotten one step closer to realizing her dream of creating a Human-Devil hybrid.
But the disappearance of Ellie proved that this was simply not true.
"Fortunately, nothing of value was lost.", Chu Wuyao said and collected the white soul in front of her, ready to make use of it at a later ti.
After taking care of the waste, she walked to the room's wall and punched on it with all her strength.
As if she had activated a chanism, a black hole suddenly appeared in front of her and instantly swallowed her figure, causing her vision to turn dark.
When she recovered and opened her eyes again, Chu Wuyao found that she had returned to her luxuriously-decorated room, as a small black cat stood in front of her with its mouth wide open.
Inside its mouth, a small empty room could be seen, Cthulhu's mouth seemingly been a portal to another world.
This was the ability of the Twilight Cats, having a space in their body in which they can trap enemies in, as well as store items.
Chu Wuyao originally didn't mind going inside as it was quite useful, but when she saw Cthulhu's teary eyes and its excited expression, her expression darkened.
"Boom!"
A small black cat suddenly flew across the room at a high speed.
