Adrian's instincts kicked in the mont the chief barked the order to arrest them. Soldiers closed in, weapons drawn, their faces twisted with malicious glee as they prepared to take him and Zack down.

Adrian knew he had to act fast—there was no ti to hesitate.

Drawing his sword, Adrian spun on his heel, using the montum to slash through the nearest soldier's weapon, disarming him in one fluid motion.

Without missing a beat, he summoned his fiery chains, the molten links shooting out from his back with a hiss. They wrapped around another soldier's legs, yanking him off his feet and sending him crashing to the ground.

Zack, wide-eyed and trembling, could barely keep up with the chaos around him. Adrian had to split his focus, using one chain to keep Zack close and protected while fending off the advancing soldiers with his sword.

The odds were stacked against him—there were too many, and they were closing in fast.

A soldier lunged at Adrian from behind, but he sensed the attack and whipped his chain backward, the spearhead of the chains digging into the soldier's chest and sending him sprawling.

Adrian turned, his sword eting another attacker's blade with a sharp clang. The force of the impact vibrated up his arm, but he held firm, pushing the soldier back before delivering a swift, lethal strike.

Despite his best efforts, Adrian was being overwheld.

More soldiers poured into the chamber, their faces gleaming with anticipation of the kill. He could feel Zack's terror, the man's breath coming in short, panicked gasps as he clung to the chain that kept him tethered to Adrian.

"Zack, stay behind !" Adrian ordered, his voice strained as he parried another blow.

The fiery chains flared around them, creating a barrier of molten heat, but it was only a matter of ti before the soldiers broke through.

Outside the barracks, Lilith and dea moved in perfect sync as they approached the gates. The guards stationed there were imdiately on alert, their hands resting on the hilts of their swords as they blocked the won's path.

"Halt!" one of the guards barked in an authoritative voice. "State your business or be turned away."

Lilith's eyes glimred with mischief as she stepped forward, her hips swaying seductively. "Oh, there's no need to be so harsh," she purred, her voice dripping with honey. "Why don't you tell what you desire? Perhaps we can co to… an understanding."

The guard's stern expression faltered, his gaze lingering on Lilith's curves. He opened his mouth to respond, but before he could get a word out, dea moved with lightning speed.

Her sword flashed in the dim light as she instantly closed the distance between them, slashing through the guard's torso in multiple, deadly arc. Blood sprayed into the air, splattering across her face and body, but dea didn't so much as blink.

"Isn't that a little too much?" Lilith asked.

The other guard, witnessing the brutal manner in which his comrade was dispatched, stumbled back in horror. He fell onto his backside, his sword clattering to the ground as he raised his hands in surrender. "I… I'll open the gate," he stamred, his voice quaking with fear.

dea didn't bother waiting for him to comply.

"You missed your chance already. Don't worry. I can do it myself," she said coldly, her tone devoid of rcy.

With a swift motion, she slashed his throat, the guard's lifeblood pouring out as he crumpled to the ground.

Lilith watched with a satisfied smile as dea approached the gate. "This is going to be fun," she murmured to herself in excitent.

With a single, powerful kick, dea's legs smashed through the massive wooden gate, the force of the blow sending the heavy doors flying off their hinges.

The sound echoed through the barracks like a thunderous warning of the impending chaos.

As they stepped inside, their eyes were imdiately drawn to the massive crowd of soldiers gathered in the center of the compound.

At least a thousand n ford a tight circle, focusing on the middle where Adrian desperately fought to protect Zack. The sheer number of soldiers was overwhelming, and it was clear that Adrian was struggling to hold his ground.

Lilith summoned a sword of her own, the blade materialising in her hand with a shimring glow. She turned to dea with a serious expression. "Ready, sis?"

dea's eyes blazed with fury, her bloodstained face a mask of resolve. "I'm always ready for battle," she replied, her voice hard as steel. She looked at the scene unfolding before them, then back at Lilith. "Let's make an entrance."

As if on cue, the two goddesses leaped into the air, the ground beneath them cracking from the sheer force of their jump.

They soared above the soldiers' heads, their figures outlined against the sky, for a brief, breathtaking mont before they descended upon the fray. Their landing sent a shockwave rippling through the crowd, scattering soldiers like leaves in the wind.

Montarily stunned by their sudden appearance, Adrian barely had ti to process what was happening. One mont, he was fighting for his life; the next, dea and Lilith were at his side.

Zack, on the other hand, was paralyzed with fear. His eyes were wide as he took in the two goddesses who had appeared out of nowhere. He clung to Adrian, his body trembling uncontrollably.

dea's gaze swept over the surrounding soldiers, her eyes narrowing with contempt. "Stay back!" she commanded.

The soldiers hesitated, a bit of fear seeping in, but their sheer numbers emboldened them. They tightened their grip on their weapons and took a step forward, ready to overwhelm the intruders.

dea glanced at Lilith with an exasperated expression. "Do they not understand?" she muttered.

Lilith shrugged, her lips curling into a playful smirk. "Seems like they're not the brightest bunch."

dea turned back to the soldiers, her posture straightening as she faced them head-on. "English or Greek?" she asked, her voice dripping with disdain.

The soldiers exchanged confused glances, clearly taken aback by the question. Finally, one of them found his voice. "English?"

dea's eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint in their depths. "English? Good," she said, her tone deceptively calm. "Whoever moves first is gay... I an, is dead."

Her words hung in the air, like a chilling promise, freezing the soldiers in place. For a mont, no one dared to move. The tension was suffocating, the silence oppressive.

Then, a soldier at the edge of the crowd made the fatal mistake of stepping forward, his weapon raised as if to attack.

dea moved faster than a blink, summoning a dagger made of dark energy and hurling it with pinpoint accuracy.

The blade buried itself in the soldier's skull, the force of the impact driving him to the ground before he even had a chance to cry out.

A collective gasp escaped the soldiers as they watched their comrade fall lifeless to the ground, the dark energy still crackling around the embedded dagger.

dea's gaze swept over the remaining soldiers, her expression unyielding. "So… who else wants to challenge my champion?"
