Author's note – Author's note

600,000 words, and the second volu has co to an end.

The first volu was 250,000 words, and the second volu 350,000. At this pace, completing nine volus and reaching 3 million words shouldn't be a problem.

Originally, I planned to end the story at the Peach Blossom Spring, but as I wrote, it naturally progressed to Wuyou City. Although it deviated from the outline, the the remained unchanged.

Wuyou City is akin to the Peach Blossom Spring described by Tao Yuanming—a utopian society, idealistic.

Of course, this ideal was ultimately obliterated by a mysterious big shot's strike.

I'm sowhat satisfied with the conclusion of the second volu.

Compared to the first volu, the pace of this volu has noticeably quickened. The protagonist barely trained, and breakthroughs weren't detailed into nine levels, just briefly ntioned. It has its pros and cons.

(Mainly, I was afraid of losing readers. If I dragged out two chapters and lost readers, my mindset would collapse.)

So details at the beginning weren't handled well, like the part entering Chuyang City, but when emotions rise, you just charge ahead. It wasn't in vain, as it indirectly affected a key character like Bai Qiushui.

In the part where the protagonist receives the inheritance in Wuyou City, the perspective kept switching, which made it hard for so readers who skim to understand. For this, I can only apologize.

Overall, it's not about being great, but maintaining stability.

In the final wrap-up, I made sure every character appeared, giving them so screen ti.

Demonic Beast Group: Xu Hei, Xu Bai, Hei Huang, Man Jin, Lei ng, Demon Lord, Er Gou, Vulture.

Chu Tian Alliance: Xu Qingfeng, Xiao Chou, Ah Yin, Ku Xuan, Zhang Tie, Zhao Wenzhuo, Xiang Fei.

Qin Kingdom Forces: Qin Xuanji, Xu Qingzhi, Li Si, Lei He, Bai Luo, Zhou Wendie, Bai Qiushui.

Neutral Beings: Tianji Shangren, Han Te, Liu Buqun.

I missed Wang Ding, I'll add him in the next chapter.

Due to limited space, and since this book isn't a professional ensemble piece, I can only try to create as many interesting characters as possible within the confines.

This is what I'm most satisfied with personally. Seeing praise from readers brings great comfort.

Regarding the protagonist's combat power, so said it was broken during the Qi Refining Stage, and others said it was broken during Core Formation, but up to now, it doesn't seem broken.

(After all, I have experience with two long novels, so have so faith in , okay?)

Regarding the female lead, I don't know if it's a trend issue, but many beast-thed novels state in their synopsis (no female lead, no transformation), leading everyone to subconsciously believe that beast-thed novels shouldn't have a female lead or transformations.

I can't guarantee anything here; I can only say that no rules or fraworks can bind !

Writing a good story with heart is what I aim to do, not being constantly hinted at what can't be written due to these rules, which would greatly diminish the quality.

In the early stages, it indeed affected , making afraid to create female characters, and those who appeared were mostly antagonists or cannon fodder.

That won't happen later.

Of course, I won't write a female lead for now either. Many new readers will leave imdiately upon hearing there's a female lead, which is not an exaggeration, but a reality.

So even if I do write one, it will be through continuous developnt until perfection, making everyone accept her before she becos the female lead. I can't write those who are just given away or clingy.

Writing the characters and stories in my heart and sharing them with everyone is my honor.

Now, let's talk about the third volu, Opening the Dragon Veins.

The first volu's dragon scales defied the heavens, mortals slaying immortals.

The second volu's dragon bone was born from adversity, with a heart toward the light.

The third volu's dragon veins will focus on humanity and nature.

Actually, in the last chapter of the second volu, so content was hinted at. If the Demon Lord, as the guardian beast of the demonic beasts, encounters a problem, the demonic beasts will face disaster.

This is the main conflict and the of the third volu.

The map shifts to the East Sea, where Penglai Island is located, the place where Emperor Qin sought the elixir of immortality according to history.

I won't reveal too much for now. The third volu will be the one I put the most effort into.

I'm already eager to start writing.

Stay tuned.

Oh, and there's a character I forgot to introduce. Since he didn't get a chance in the main text, I'll include him in a single chapter.

Xuan Yangzi: "I, the main antagonist of the first volu, actually survived to the third volu. This deserves a perfect score!"

"What do you think?"
