The man with dark hair anxiously pursued the giant wolf, but it had managed to temporarily elude him, springing up and snapping at the nearby ranger.

Once it had killed the annoying ranger, the mage hiding in the close-by wouldn’t be far from death. The giant wolf moved much faster than the man with the dark hair.

It was only at this mont that the ranger realized he was too close. The arrow he shot sunk into the wolf’s chest, but did nothing to slow it down.

Just then, a sharp arrow quietly shot out and pierced the wolf’s eyeball, the intense pain causing it to freeze montarily.

This allowed the now very close ranger to survive under the wolf’s snout.

"What... what just happened?" the still shaken ranger quickly moved to another tree.

At the sa ti, he caught sight of a figure out of the corner of his eye. The person was holding a spear, leaping high, and then stabbing it down forcefully toward the pain-stricken, slow-moving giant wolf.

’Shewsh’

With just one move, the giant wolf’s neck was pierced through, pinning it to the ground.

The dark-haired man was overjoyed. His greatsword made eight consecutive chops at the neck of the giant wolf, finally beheading it.

"Thank you both!" he looked quite shaken as he thanked the duo who had intervened. He knew that without their interference, his small team would have certainly been wiped out. After his teammates had sacrificed their lives, he himself would not have been able to face this cunning giant wolf alone.

Of course, the two who intervened were none other than Li Changhe and He Feng.

The instant they confird that the three-man team was in a deadly situation, they had made a decisive move. Their assistance would earn them goodwill and favors.

anwhile, Chen Yu and Jiangshan continued to hide with Xiao Ye in the surrounding jungle.

As they weren’t certain about the human beings’ attitude toward elves in this world, they decided not to complicate the situation. They didn’t even want Xiao Ye to be visible to outsiders.

The dark-haired man stared at Li Changhe, who was walking over from a distance, and He Feng, who was pulling out his spear.

Both of their faces had undergone so disguise, so they looked quite ordinary, with neither standing out from the crowd.

"They’re unfamiliar faces." While expressing his gratitude for being saved, the dark-haired man began to speculate about their identities.

The two were dressed in similar cloth outfits, giving the impression they were from the sa adventurer team.

Moreover... they were both very strong! They were of the Silver, no, maybe even the Gold level, or perhaps even higher.

The dark-haired man was the most experienced mber of his own team, and he quickly noticed that the strength of these two was far beyond what his own team could handle.

Precisely hitting the eye of the fast-moving giant wolf from fifty ters away, this archery skill was likely on par with that of the elven archers.

The other warrior was able to pierce the wolf’s neck with his spear after coming close. This was impressive as even if the giant wolf were standing still, it would normally take him quite a while to behead it.

The hide of these ferocious beasts was very tough, but the other combatant won the fight with a single spear thrust. His strength was terrifying.

"I am the captain of the Bronze level adventure team, Dawn’s Hamr, my na is Wang He." The dark-haired man introduced himself, holding out a blue badge. "Thank you for your assistance."

A Bronze level adventure team?

Li Changhe nodded inwardly, while also noticing a hint of sha on the face of Wang He.

Then, everything clicked.

Li Changhe promptly replied, "It was nothing, don’t worry about it. However, your team doesn’t seem to be up to a Bronze level. Or is it that the Bronze level has declined over the years, with no coordination anymore?"

Although Wang He didn’t completely understand, he got the gist of what Li Changhe was saying and felt even more ashad. Actually, personally, he did possess the strength of a Bronze level adventurer.

But his team had encountered a calamity during a mission, leading to the scattering or death of his companions. He had beco the captain of a bronze level adventure team in na only.

This ti, he had recruited a ranger and a rarely seen mage from the guild.

The goal was to restore the prestige of ’Dawn’s Hamr’.

Therefore, there was little cooperation between the three... or rather, almost none.

In reality, if the combat awareness of the other two had been a little richer, then the mage could have retreated from the battlefield imdiately after losing fighting power. The ranger could have engaged the giant wolf from a distance while moving around on the trees. If they had done these things, the situation wouldn’t have been this bad.

It is best to consider this team as a group of gars.

It goes without saying what would happen to gars who don’t coordinate in the face of danger.

Without team cooperation, either they are lone wolves with superior strength or excellent tactics, or... they are paratroopers.

If it hadn’t been for the delays and breakthroughs of various gars during the Great Tang, the consequences would have likely been a total wipeout.

That situation had been a result of all the gars quickly understanding the event and imdiately assigning roles and functions to themselves. An unspoken cooperation was ford.

As for now, the other two looked a bit embarrassed.

From the conversation between Li Changhe and Wang He, they realized that their actions had almost caused the team to be wiped out.

Afterward, the team from Dawn’s Hamr went off to extinguish the fire.

They did employ so tactics, having calculated the path of the giant wolf beforehand and then pouring oil on surrounding trees. No wonder the fire had started so quickly.

Li Changhe and He Feng helped them, especially after they saw that He Feng could pierce a tree with a single spear, the mbers of Dawn’s Hamr looked at the two n with sparkling eyes. It was clear they saw the two as their strong players.

After toppling over the burning trees, the fire gradually died down.

Wang He and his team were covered in soot. Fortunately, the forest was very humid, so the fire didn’t spread too far.

As he was wiping his face, Wang He approached Li Changhe and He Feng, asking, "Respected Mr. He Qi, what are your plans next?"

They had used their internal team aliases for introducing themselves to Wang He.

In fact, it was quite advantageous.

He Qi and Li Ba, as they were referred to within the team, were among the back rank fighters. That made people wonder about the strength of those ranked above them. What kind of monsters could they be?

"As expected, they are of the Legendary Gold or Platinum Level," thought Wang He. Though he was not sure about their team’s identity, he still desired to get to know them better.

"If you two need to rest," Wang He gestured to a direction, "you can go to Sword City with us. I can show you my hospitality there."

"Sword City, huh? We actually do need a new map. We are also looking to et up with so companions." He Feng responded gravely, consenting to their proposal, much to Wang He’s delight.

"Speaking of which, has there been any news or assignnts regarding elves recently?" Li Changhe asked.

"Elves?" Wang He thought for a bit, then said, "I only know that many elven archers and mages in various teams have left their teams. I’m not sure about the specifics."

Li Changhe nodded quietly. It seed that at least the humans of this world did not harbor any ill will towards the elves. Since elves had already joined the adventurers’ teams, Xiao Ye should not draw any attention.

So, he let Chen Yu and others take Xiao Ye to Sword City to regroup.

However, the collective desertion of elves from their teams was sothing worth noting.
