The corridor was filled with the stench of blood, and the sight of bodies mauled beyond recognition was nauseating.
At the center of the bodies, a monster with the body of a Minotaur was laughing eerily.
Minotaurus stood almost three ters tall, his body was chiseled with muscles, and his black hair shone with an unmatched luster.
As he bent his upper body, the enormous axe in his hand the size of a grindstone, dragged along the ground, sparking as it prepared to charge.
Poss and Connor could sense the terrifying montum barreling towards them.
It was a creature of legend, the Minotaur from ancient Greek mythology.
Though there were so deviations from the mythology, it had indeed destroyed several armies that ca to slay it.
The summoning pact it had signed with Xida had protected it from property decay after becoming a Symbiotic Body.
Now, it was at its peak condition.
"What a surprising treat, to taste the flesh and blood of players."
Its labyrinth had once been broken by a team of players, which greatly reduced its reputation in that world. In order to obtain sacrifices to nd its labyrinth, it beca Xida’s Symbiotic Body.
Even the players who had broken his labyrinth were doing their best to avoid direct confrontation with it.
Because, it was strong!
So it roared, its leg muscles contracted instantly, and it charged toward the crowd with an unstoppable montum.
The huge axe sparked against the floor, like a raging locomotive.
At that mont, it was ready to comnce a massacre...
A sound reverberated through the air.
It was abruptly thrown back to the ground, like a roaring train forcibly overturned by a greater force.
The pain radiating from its abdon and head left it sowhat bewildered.
What happened?
He hadn’t even begun to swing his axe, why was he on the ground?
His abdon was punctured, his prideful Physique providing virtually no defense.
His supposedly invulnerable body was wracked by unfamiliar, intense agony. This was a body that should have been able to charge into an army unscathed.
And his head... He stared at the man a few steps away, wearing a mask of Azure Fla, and holding a very familiar black horn in his hand.
"What an idiot..." the man said sothing that Minotaurus couldn’t comprehend.
However, Minotaurus lacked the strength to consider what he said, it was enveloped by even greater fear.
Minotaurus, Fantasy Species.
Through Li Changhe’s Glass of Perception, its attributes could be seen.
Apart from its poor energy, it achieved 12 points in Physique and agility, and an even better 13 points in strength.
If it were a player possessing these foundational attributes, it would definitely trigger several Attribute Characteristics.
Combining these attributes with certain skills would indeed make it a formidable opponent.
However, that was about it; the differences in attributes could be overco by players who have developed tactical expertise.
If it made prudent use of its labyrinth ability and engaged in guerrilla warfare with Li Changhe and his companions, perhaps it could have been useful.
But... simply charging headlong was rather foolish.
The Big Iron Pestle himself was already a Champion Level player with a history of defeating several LV10 players.
In terms of capability, even players with Divinity would fare worse against him.
Ever since Li Changhe killed the God’s Chosen Xue Shen in the Great Tang, his combat experience and awareness had reached an astonishing level. Even without activating Extraordinary Soldier, he could easily predict the enemy’s actions and intent.
If not for Minotaurus being so weak and unable to trigger the Will of Desperation, Li Changhe would have wanted to test his Black Mud Divinity.
Regrettably, it was too weak.
Charge head-on? What kind of joke is that, who does it think its facing?
The major reason Big Iron Pestle invited Li Changhe was to dominate the front line battles!
The Pressure Throne imdiately slowed Minotaurus’s charge. By the ti it was still five steps away from Li Changhe, its speed had unconsciously slowed down.
Its speed had reduced, its weapon hand hadn’t moved yet, and its pose was leaning forward. It was full of weaknesses!
What more was there to say?
Li Changhe’s body sparked with arcs of electricity, and he swung his weapon, while the Big Iron Pestle whirled his Thorny Spear.
A single attack from the two n stopped Minotaurus’s charge, severed his horn and pierced his abdon.
Minotaurus, unable to comprehend what had happened, let out a terrified bellows.
With a push of his hands, he wanted to escape.
It was unclear what had happened, but he knew that if he remained there, he would inevitably et an unfortunate end.
Just a single clash, and his horn was broken, his body was easily pierced. The gap between them was massive.
"Xida, why are your enemies so strong?" Minotaurus cried out in fear, imdiately seeking Xida’s assistance.
If one were to observe from a God’s-eye view, they would understand.
Li Changhe and the others were assigned to a hastily organized squad of Chaos Splitters. They received no help from anomalies.
However, Xida and his group were in an SCP Foundation’s outpost, having Oga-7 and several humanoid anomalies as allies. If necessary, they could even request the Foundation to dispatch more Mobile Task Force in advance.
This was the balancing and coordination of player power. As to who is balanced, it goes without saying.
If Xida had gambled from the beginning, voluntarily revealing his identity to the council upper echelons.
Attracting more council combatants, the Splitters perhaps wouldn’t even have a chance to enter the fight.
Unfortunately, players dare not do so. As a result, even though they were with the Foundation side, they still acted sneakily.
If Li Changhe were assigned to the council side, he would have to first greet Abel, hug a big leg. Talk about their feelings on combat.
Li Changhe is indeed a strongman, this is beyond doubt, and Abel would get along better with strongn.
Even if he couldn’t mix into Oga-7, it was at least not a problem to exchange thoughts with Abel.
A simple disclosure about the existence of hostile players, and he wouldn’t have to lift a hand. The opponent would be facing Oga-7.
Or, made a visit to Grandpa... erm, I ant the Grandpa who possesses the big lizard.
Maybe even get a chance to ride it.
Damn, if it’s really that way, riding a Grandpa would surely make one invincible, right?
Then taking advantage of the chaotic situation at the outpost, resolutely activating all abilities, summoning his n to take away everything they can carry and run.
Coffee machine, peanuts, succubus girls... well, let the succubus be. Anyway, take away everything that could be carried.
Just need to hide for 5 hours, the task would then be completed. He would also gain many benefits.
Well... of course, these are just hypothetical.
It is also possible that from the first glance at Abel, he saw through the player’s identity, then got pinned and rubbed on the ground. He would have to activate the Black Mud Divinity to fight, then fast forward to the containnt of the player.
Or perhaps he could be thrown down directly, and had no choice but to activate Indomitable Ride of Hundred Tigers with the Foundation together to suppress the big lizard. Then again be encircled by the Foundation. Once again fast forwarded to the Foundation containing players.
This is all about choice. Xida and his group chose the most reliable and safe plan.
Also, they divided the forces of the council.
However, they foolishly released the Minotaur...
And as a Pure Love Warrior, Li Changhe hated Minotaurs the most.
