He Feng lifted his foot off the middle-aged woman’s arm.

He took a few steps back and leaned against a nearby tree, taking several deep breaths.

It seed like he was trying to calm himself down.

Li Changhe glanced at the wailing middle-aged woman on the ground. He didn’t care about her well-being, but he was worried about the state of the box.

"Since the box only beca like this after going upstairs, it must be related to these people," Li Changhe thought. "What could have provoked it?"

After pondering for a mont, he decided to just ask the woman directly, since that was why he had brought her out.

He took a few photos out of the [Backpack].

These were photos he had taken from the wall of room 303 in the inn.

Due to the appearance of [Great Wall], Li Changhe didn’t take many photos. In a hurry, he only brought a dozen or so with him.

With the help of the moonlight filtering through the trees, Li Changhe’s physique allowed him to see the photos clearly.

So photos were of children, so playing in amusent parks, so walking with their parents in parks, and so walking in groups on the streets, as if they were on their way ho from school.

There were more girls in the photos. Li Changhe even saw the daughter of Hu Li, the noodle shop owner.

There were also so photos of a mountainous area.

Li Changhe frowned and showed the photos to the woman, who was still wailing. "These are the targets you planned to go after."

Her raspy voice made the middle-aged woman tremble. She looked at the dimly lit night and saw a face wrapped in a scarf and mask suddenly approaching her.

At the sa ti, the strong sll of blood and the cold air perated her nostrils involuntarily.

Terrified, she didn’t even care about the injuries on her arms and legs anymore.

Because... an even more dangerous existence was right in front of her.

Seeing the woman’s terrified face, she didn’t dare to speak.

Li Changhe grabbed her collar and led her to the tree, letting out a hoarse laugh. He said, "Don’t worry, as long as you give the answers I want, I won’t hurt you."

He then looked at He Feng and continued, "And he won’t hurt you anymore. Rest assured, I, Chen Guang, never lie!"

[Cold Reading Skill EX] allowed Li Changhe to easily know what the woman wanted.

Seeing the middle-aged woman’s eyes darting around, he warned, "However, if you lie to , I’ll make sure you rember my wrath even in hell! I can see it." He punched the tree beside him, leaving a significant mark. The withered leaves on the tree fell.

"Of course, I think you know what to say."

The middle-aged woman nodded shakily.

"Good." Li Changhe held up the photos and asked, "Are these photos your targets?"

"...Yes... We took them when we scoped the area. After investigating their routines... we strike." The middle-aged woman endured the pain and replied with difficulty, "Then we’d sell them to custors with demands... or bring them back to the village."

"Custors?"

"Yes! So rich people... like little girls." The woman, covering her broken arm and sweating profusely, said, "If you want to know, I can tell you their information. I can tell you everything!"

Li Changhe wasn’t surprised. There had been an incident at the orphanage before.

A seemingly honest middle-aged businessman, whose wife was infertile,

had adopted a child from the orphanage before.

A few months later, Old Man Yun saw him on the news.

A pedophile...

At that ti, they were all stunned and envious of the man’s child.

Old Man Yun was so vigilant because he didn’t want this kind of situation to happen again.

"Luo Kai said they found a survivor."

Li Changhe thought that [Great Wall] should handle this kind of thing.

First, he needed to find out why the box was like this.

"What about the village?" Li Changhe looked at the woman. "Is it your hideout?"

"No... It’s just a village in the mountains... So of them couldn’t find wives... so they asked us to buy... children that couldn’t find buyers imdiately. We’d take them there."

In so primitive mountainous regions, such customs indeed existed.

They didn’t have good dical facilities or the ans to have their own children, but they still had the need to continue their lineage. Kidnappers took advantage of this fact.

The kidnapped children or girls in those places had no help from heaven or earth.

Over ti, they accepted their fate.

Years ago, Li Changhe saw this kind of news.

The rescued woman, insane, tried to kill the child she had given birth to.

The desperation and dead silence in her eyes were etched in Li Changhe’s mory.

Her life had been ruined by the kidnappers.

The middle-aged woman, who had ruined countless families, was in cold sweat and struggling to speak.

The sense of terror Li Changhe brought her at that mont was overwhelming, but for the sake of survival, she mustered the strength to reply, "We ca to Yanyun this ti just to try our luck. When I first started... I once took a child from Yanyun..."

Taken a child? Li Changhe’s fingers twitched slightly, and the corners of his eyes moved.

He continued to ask, "So what’s his deal?" pointing at He Feng.

He Feng was still taking deep breaths, as if trying to calm himself down.

But Li Changhe could feel his longti friend’s complex emotions at that mont: excitent, anger.

His mood was unstable.

And the middle-aged woman was panicked.

Obviously, she was very afraid of the man who had hamred her accomplice to death and broken her legs.

"I... I just told the truth about everything I knew." The middle-aged woman wailed, "I really said everything."

Li Changhe frowned, "You took a child from Yanyun before? Where? When?"

"Fourteen years ago. I can’t rember the place... I just rember it was in Yanyun..."

"Fourteen years ago? You’ve been at this for quite a while." Li Changhe’s expression changed. This wasn’t a good number for He Feng.

In the autumn of fourteen years ago, He Feng lost his loved ones... Was this the reason?

But it was just a coincidence that the timing matched...

Well, at least let the box have a thought.

"Do you rember where you took that child?" Li Changhe asked softly.

"I can’t rember... But all my transaction records are in that old cell phone. The contact information of those custors is also there."

She was smart enough to use an old-fashioned cell phone without the fancy features of a smartphone. The information inside was not easy to leak.

"To lighten your sentence when caught? You’re quite careful." Li Changhe clicked his tongue but didn’t care.

Now that the questions were asked, the woman had no more use.

The middle-aged woman heard the malice in Li Changhe’s tone and said anxiously, "You promised . You..."

"Of course he promised you." A cold feminine voice sounded.

The middle-aged woman stared in terror at the black-clad girl who appeared behind Li Changhe without explanation.

As soon as she appeared, the middle-aged woman felt as if her blood was being frozen.

A cold wind blew, and the girl’s hair fluttered.

The girl smiled, "But I haven’t..."

The middle-aged woman’s eyes widened, but she couldn’t utter a single word.

She watched the black hair wrap around her neck like tendrils.

"Snap!"
