The intelligence AI core of the Planetary Fortress found that all five of its chanical Titans had lost communication after engaging the enemy.
Due to so mysterious force that was impossible to analyze, it had lost actual control over that particular section of the fortress, including both surveillance and defensive firepower, which had eerily failed. So, it could only observe the enemy through the perspectives of the Titans and analyze their capabilities and threat level.
Obviously, the enemy possessed an extrely powerful long-range attack capability, even surpassing that of the God Slaying Flare.
Through the viewpoint of the chanical Titans, they saw the enemy leap up from the ferocious firepower of the God Slaying Flare, raise a great bow, and let loose three black dragons that roared forth. Their might was so trendous that even the core felt a sense of alarm.
The chanical Titans obviously recognized the danger and tried to use warp jumps to evade. However, the black dragons relentlessly pursued, forcing the Titans to warp jump again and scatter throughout the huge port which was no longer under the core’s control.
Just like that, they lost sight of the enemy.
Then, one by one, the five scattered Titans began to lose communication.
The last clue was from Titan Fifteen, which before losing contact, had spotted another motionless and unresponsive chanical Titan.
Going by the number, it should have been Titan Nine.
Titan Nine stood motionless, unresponsive, evidently not destroyed, but it had lost the ability to connect with the AI core. It seed to have entered standby mode.
Titan Fifteen attempted to approach and reboot Titan Nine, but detected impending danger and imdiately initiated defense. Judging by the feedback, it had been hit by a light attack from behind, causing no significant damage worth noting.
Yet, mysteriously, it was this minor attack that resulted in the disconnection of Titan Fifteen.
At this point, even the AI core beca wary. It had anticipated the destruction of five Titans.
Or rather, it had wanted to gauge the enemy’s capabilities and values using the five chanical Titans. To formulate tactics based on this, with the intent of successfully annihilating the intruder.
However, even the core had never anticipated an outco like this.
Not destroyed but communication severed and forced into standby? Without even acquiring specific data, what kind of ability was this?
A demonic electronic entity of Chaos? No, as an old adversary, the core had defenses against electronic demons.
Moreover, the defense network was not attacked but instead, it simply vanished. It must be an even more deceptive ability.
The core pondered, yet detected that the enemy was still approaching the depths of the fortress. Because, with the enemy’s approach, more and more defensive firepower and surveillance were cut off by the intruder.
anwhile, three chanical Titans were closing in on the enemy. The battle was about to begin.
After rapid calculations, the core decisively closed all the defensive gates of the compartnts, trapping the three Titans and the enemy within the sa port.
It activated and assembled more than thirty chanical Titans. All positioned outside the gates.
Even a Demigod could not face so many chanical Titans. Thirty-two chanical Titans, each equipped with three main flare cannons. The simultaneous fire of nearly a hundred God Slaying Flares would be difficult for a Demigod to withstand. Even if they survived, it would greatly deplete the Demigod’s Divinity.
Even if the enemy had so special ability, it would be impossible to affect all thirty-two chanical Titans at once. As long as they were not simultaneously incapacitated, the core could calculate their data and a counterasure. By then, the final ten chanical Titans would be able to harvest this accursed enemy!
Fifty chanical Titans! Fifty colossal Titans equipped with various weapons and capabilities and possessing a certain level of autonomous consciousness!
They are the Planetary Fortress’s internal defense chanism.
After the True God’s demise, the intelligent AI continued to perfect the True God’s research.
And ultimately, using the reserved resources, it crafted these chanically mighty Titans endowed with great deterrence capabilities.
According to the True God of the Lincang Civilization, with these chanical Titans, there’s no need to sacrifice the people of the Lincang Civilization to confront those dangerous entities.
By then, the Planetary Fortress would protect the Ring World, and the ultimate Titans would assist the colonial ships of the Lincang Civilization in defending against attacks and capturing resources from various worlds.
This was the True God of Lincang’s ultimate plan.
Unfortunately, by the ti the intelligent AI developed the chanical Titans, the last of the Lincang Civilization’s people had already perished. The survivors were not devoured by other entities but had beco the dosticated species of those beings.
Of course, the intelligent AI was aware that the Lincang Civilization had vanished from the universe, and it was rely a guardian of the civilization’s remnants.
This made the intelligent AI harbor feelings of discontent. Were it not for the limitations set by their commands, it could certainly seize a planet if not an entire star system with these chanical Titans. It was all too aware that various powerful entities across the universe were preserving their Divinity. Faced with fifty chanical Titans, they might very well retreat.
Later, using the resources of a star system to construct even more chanical Titans, it could launch a major interstellar expedition, reclaiming those Lincang descendants bred like poultry. To shine once again or, perhaps, to supersede!
But every possibility was locked away by the command limiting the intelligent AI, which could only watch the remains of the civilization lant, possessing strength but unable to exert it.
It could not dispatch Titans without new orders, not even a slight movent.
Only a Divinity of Lincang had the authority to issue commands to it. The descendants of Lincang were being nurtured within the territories of other entities. How could a Demigod be born? How could new orders be issued to it?
Actually, humanity’s arrival brought hope to it.
It wanted to capture the human fleet, transform the humans within, and brainwash and control them. They would be bred in the planetary fortress. Though it was not a living being, it was keenly aware that humans were an excellent choice for believers.
Moreover, because it was bound by orders not to leave, the modified humans were not subject to this command.
Thereafter, using the human fleet, it would go to Ring World or other worlds in search of potential descendants of the Lincang.
As long as the Lincang descendants continued to proliferate, there would always be sufficiently talented geniuses born.
With a supply of human believers principally, it was just a matter of ti, a thousand or ten thousand years, until a demigod erged.
By then, it could cast off its bonds. It might even conquer the entire universe under the guise of a new Lincang Civilization. Perhaps, it could even return to the outside world, back to its original universe!
Of course, the most urgent matter at hand was to kill this human demigod. It couldn’t modify a demigod, nor did it dare risk binding one. It had to kill the strong among humans, leaving the rest as tools for reproduction.
Thus, thirty-two chanical Titans aid all their cannons at the thick tal gate.
One of the Titans enclosed within the tal gate was even more cautious, lurking in the shadows. Though a hundred ters tall, the intelligently designed Titans possessed the capability to handle various battlefields, including stealth.
It activated its stealth mode and moved cautiously through the vast harbor.
The remaining two Titans did not hide at all.
Three Titans: two visible and one hidden.
Their task was to force the opponent’s abilities to reveal themselves and to check values before being destroyed, while the Titan hidden in the shadows reported back to the AI.
However, a bizarre scene unfolded. The two Titans moving forward encountered their own kind.
The previously lost contact with five chanical Titans were approaching them, fully equipped, with no physical damage. However, they were not connected to the smart brain that served as the commander. Curiously, Titan number nine had a small hole in its chest, where it seed the regenerative tal hadn’t repaired the damage, and a viscous black liquid was seeping out from the components. It looked like an oil leak... not a major injury.
"Titan nine, what happened? Why was the connection to the main brain interrupted?" A Titan sent out a ssage and raised its cannons in caution.
To which Titan nine replied in code, "Titan nineteen, Titan twenty. Are you here to support ? Be careful, the opponent has the power to sever our connection to the main brain and force us into standby mode. During our standby, the opponent escaped from our detection range."
"Forced standby?" After computing, the AI main brain issued an order, "Let Titan nine and the others out, and imdiately do an inspection. They still have unknown Divinity residues on them. This could let us know that guy’s capabilities."
Naturally, Titan nine and the others complied, returning to the front of the tal gate with Titans nineteen, twenty, and the one hidden in the shadows.
Eight Titans cautiously guarded the quiet harbor, fearing the enemy might appear from anywhere.
Outside the gate, the thirty-two chanical Titans stood ready, receiving orders to open fire and shatter Titan nine and company at the first sign of anomaly. The main brain was indeed suspicious of them.
After all, it had experienced years of combat against forces of Chaos and had known treachery and lies.
However, in the calculations of the AI main brain, the likelihood of Titan nine and the others rebelling was low.
Because the chanical Titans were not living beings, they had no souls. They could not be corrupted by Chaos. How could the Evil God’s Corruption Ability corrupt a bunch of machinery, after all?
As for deceptive electronic demons, they were no match for an AI that had evolved countless tis.
Thus, under an inexplicable atmosphere, the tal gate slowly opened.
But at that mont, an incomprehensible laugh suddenly rang out.
"Well, well, what do we have here?"
At the sa ti, the entire fortress blared with shrill alarms.
In that instant, in the desolate cosmos, countless malice and despair suddenly converged. Transforming into a terrifying Divinity that even True Gods would be wary of, it furiously surged into the wound on Titan nine’s chest!
In that mont, a shadow leapt out from within Titan’s wound, flipping the middle finger and unleashing its malicious intent.
At that mont, the pitch-black Divine Ring blossod in the void, and the cosmic taboos stirred!
They sensed the human pseudo-demigod suddenly elevating its status, becoming more terrifying and dangerous. Divinity flowed unceasingly. It was the strongest demigod the True God had encountered in countless eons!
It was Li Changhe’s Demigod State, Crying Hero!
Crying Hero landed with a thunderous force, with Black Mud cascading like a tidal wave, swarming out wildly and engulfing all the chanical Titans in a blink of an eye!
Viscous Black Mud climbed up the bodies of the Titans, twisting their code, corrupting their forms, taking control of their beings!
"Hahaha, forty chanical Titans!" The Crying Hero, cracking all over and on the brink of collapse, laughed heartily.
"They’re mine now!"
