At that ti, Lanxiu already possessed an extrely strong predictive ability. He would often see certain images from the future. This enabled him to turn misfortune into fortune on many occasions.

As ti went on, his strength grew stronger and stronger with each battle, and he successfully seized a city. It was the ultimate fortress of later generations.

From then on, Lanxiu was known as General. He synergized with various resistance forces from different regions, fighting alongside them.

And in the end, he successfully joined forces with the army of the human king.

By that ti, humanity had beco a major thorn in the side of the Snake People Civilization, controlling a significant territory. Forces of the various races that had been suppressed by the snake people began to resurge.

Thus, a great number of snake people’s armies were mobilized. Even their king took to the battlefield in person, intent on settling the score with humanity.

Then, in that final battle, the King of the Snake People was defeated by the human monarch. It took humans over fifty years to ultimately defeat the Snake People Civilization that had flourished for a thousand years.

But the war was not over, and the situation for humans remained perilous. As the Snake People Civilization declined, other different races finally revealed their sharp fangs, intending to contend with humanity for the fruits of victory.

"How could we possibly hand over victory so easily?" the demigod Lanxiu said somberly, "That’s when the next round of war began. It was also then that I began to touch upon Divinity and carved out my own path... Even ’that guy’ never imagined I would be so talented."

"Human potential is limitless. You did very well," the bronze sword’s voice resonated, seeming to acknowledge Lanxiu.

"Thank you, unknown God Sin," Lanxiu replied and then continued.

While human powerhouses led armies to defend against the invasion of other races, Lanxiu also grew through battle and attained Divinity. He beca a divine creature, thereby gaining an extraordinarily long lifespan.

This allowed him to witness every step of humanity’s rise from despair. Slave, soldier, knight, general, and divine creature – he had almost saved humanity alongside the king.

Decades later, after the war, the various races were finally suppressed.

Humanity beca the undisputed dominion of the world, the new Hegemon!

Because of his outstanding performance, powerful strength, and military achievents, Lanxiu beca the most influential general in the human dynasty, second only to the human king.

Moreover, in subsequent suppression wars, Lanxiu successfully ascended to the throne of the Demigod. He beca the God of Bravery and Rebellion! He beca the demigod of humanity!

With the demigod Lanxiu suppressing different races from without and the human king carefully orchestrating from within,

human Civilization rapidly developed, and within a few hundred years, it even ventured into the stars.

Had nothing happened, Li Changhe and the others would today witness an extraordinarily powerful human dynasty.

Unfortunately, there are no what-ifs.

"It was one evening after I had been inspecting the territories of the various races that ’that guy’ secretly summoned ," Lanxiu responded, "Even though I had beco a demigod, an existence far surpassing the forr King of the Snake People, I still felt grateful and admiring towards that guy because, in my eyes, he saved humanity by himself. Without him, there would be no as a demigod. Thus, I didn’t hesitate to obey his command and secretly went to his imperial palace."

"And then..." Lanxiu’s voice suddenly took on a tone of resentnt, "he actually asked to prepare to slumber... to prepare to enter the next cycle of reincarnation!"

"Slumber? Reincarnation?" Li Changhe’s heart stirred, the alternate Civilizations of the Bone People and dragons echoing mysteriously in his mind, prompting him to ask, "What did he an by that?"

"Whether it’s that guy, the King of the Snake People, or even the more ancient King of Giants, they’re all the sa! They are proxies of higher-level Divinity!" the demigod Lanxiu roared angrily, causing echoes to ripple through the void, "This world is but a chessboard for several higher gods that toy with divine creatures!"

"Proxies?" The faces of the players changed. This was indeed the worst-case scenario. Using Civilization as a chessboard was a strategy of those higher True Gods!

They may have certain restrictions, preventing them from truly entering a world, but their powerful Divinity would warp their chosen target, making it hear their ’oracles’ or directly endowing the target with strength.

And to make them execute their plans.

Thus acquiring dominion over the world.

Just like God’s Chosen of the Eternal Prosperous Tang Dynasty’s Blood River, Xue Shen. He represented the Blood River, acting as its proxy!

If Li Changhe hadn’t been able to kill Xue Shen, the Great Tang would have fallen into Chaos. All humans would have been corrupted, becoming a force of the Chaos Faction.

Of course, now Li Changhe also understood that if he truly hadn’t won, that world would have given rise to an Evil God, the Crying Hero... In short, none of it would be good.

And this world is more complex than the situation in the Great Tang. There are multiple intelligent races here, and many Divinity battling one another.

"So it was this kind of situation..." Imagining how much Lanxiu must have admired and trusted the human king, believing he would protect humanity and their own kin with him, Li Changhe could sense the shocking realization that the king was a proxy of so Divinity.

It’s like Brother Dong, who has always been very kind to Li Changhe, suddenly telling him that he is a believer of Chaos. Such a psychological impact is enough to explode one’s ntality.

"That guy told that those petty True Gods, fighting over control, see this world as their chessboard, battling each other for dominance. When one side wins, they send out their proxy. When the ruling race is changed, so too is the world’s ownership revised. All until those scoundrels decide the victory once more!" Lanxiu’s voice grew more filled with hatred, "For thousands of years, various races took their turns on the stage, creating Civilizations – ancient demons, Elental Spirits, Underground Dwellers, dragons, Bone People, snake people, giants. Seven races creating and replacing Civilizations in turn, all due to those beasts’ machinations!"
