Li Changhe had no idea how much strength the Tianyan Association had mobilized to eradicate him, or how many people they had dispatched.
However, even if he had known, Li Changhe wouldn’t have had much of a reaction.
They were archenemies, after all, and eliminating the Tianyan Association had already beco part of his daily routine. There was nothing surprising about it.
The Tingdaros Hound, in its eagerness to devour the demons residing within Yinhu, had torn its body to shreds.
At least, Li Changhe estimated that he had successfully "lost" over fifty pounds.
In the end, Yinhu’s severely mutilated corpse was cast aside on the nearby ruins.
anwhile, the Tingdaros Hound casually spat out a bronze needle and dropped it at Li Changhe’s feet.
Then it turned back to continue gnawing on the demons it had extracted.
Even Little Black, who was also of the Fantasy Species, couldn’t help but be astonished when it saw the Tingdaros Hound devouring tiger heads one after another.
"Even though it’s not your Symbiotic Body, you have a cooperative relationship, so you can’t always keep it starved," Little Black chided, "How long has it been since it’s had a full al? Is it really going hungry for three out of nine als a day? You’re even more excessive than a capitalist!"
Dog Brother seed to understand that Little Black was speaking up for it, and its indescribable dark shadow wavered as if it were nodding. It then tossed an uneaten Demon Beast Species to Little Black.
Little Black chuckled and eagerly devoured it. Usually, it only got the chance to feast on such nourishnt during missions.
Li Changhe didn’t bother with Little Black, this old cat was older than all the humans present put together.
Normally at the base, it just pretended to be cute, and Li Changhe had to feed it well before he could stroke the cat. Bringing up this topic now, clearly, Little Black didn’t mind stirring up trouble.
How many Demon Beast Species would Li Changhe have to kill to feed Dog Brother to fullness?
The only ti Li Changhe let Dog Brother have its fill was during the disaster fog.
Where else would he find such an opportunity?
So, Li Changhe ignored them and picked up the bronze needle on the ground to examine it.
It appeared to be one of Yinhu’s magical instrunts, resembling a fragnt of a Bronze Artifact.
The Evolution Ga’s note for it was "Soul Locking Third Array Needle."
[Quality: Epic]
[Effect: Locks the target’s Spirit Body within its physical form, preventing escape]
[Note: One of the components for the Soul Locking Array]
"I figure this is equipnt ant to combat Possessors. The other two needles are likely on mbers of the Tianyan Association. Later on, I’ll have Old Zhao and the others bring them over," Li Changhe mused with a cold laugh, "Tianyan Association, oh Tianyan Association. Truly a giver of gifts."
Feeding the Possessor to Old Lead had increased his repair completion to 91% and even unlocked an achievent for Li Changhe. Now, together with this Epic Level artifact for targeting Spirit Bodies, the loot was quite substantial.
He then said to everyone, "Thanks a lot for coming all this way."
He Feng shrugged. As Li Changhe’s good brother and Yun Ting’s brother, it was his duty to seek revenge.
The other three people shook their heads slightly, for they had learned a terrible truth from Yinhu’s words.
As the victim, Li Changhe’s actions were sothing they all understood.
"It’s not actually that far, especially with the ergence of the Apocalypse Song. Canghai City has turned into a disaster zone. We can’t be of much other help, but coming to lend support is good. Mixing in a Task isn’t too shabby," said Mr. Bai, "The officials are working to suppress the influence of the Apocalypse Song. To be cautious, they’re not allowing any unofficial mbers near the Black Great Wall."
"Understandable. That place can’t afford any mishaps," Li Changhe nodded, seeing nothing wrong with this.
If anything happened to the Black Great Wall, the apocalyptic Catastrophe would no longer have any form of suppression.
Even under suppression, the Black Great Wall could reduce Canghai City to its current state. If the defense were to fail, the consequences would be unthinkable.
By now, the Defense Forces outside the Black Great Wall would have reached their maximum level.
Inside the Black Great Wall, Brother Dong and Chen Yu were struggling to suppress the Apocalypse Song.
"So, we’re planning to help on the outskirts, assist with evacuation or escorting civilians. So shelters are said to be damaged and in urgent need of rescue. Other players are doing the sa," Mr. Bai said. "What about you? You’ve already killed the Tianyan Association’s Yinhu, what are your plans?"
"To the coast. That’s where I’m needed most," he replied.
...
Elsewhere, on the coastline of Canghai City.
Xiao Nan hovered midair, a giant six-pointed star array erging. He used his authority ti and again to suppress the towering tsunami beneath.
On the ground, other players who had arrived were using their techniques as well. So summoned earthen walls, reshaped the terrain, and set up arrays to brace for the incoming tsunami.
So players were charging up their skills, ready to shatter the waves with their powerful attacks.
Initially, they were successful, Xiao Nan suppressed the ten-ter-high tsunami, while the leftover waves were safely neutralized by the players.
Although the ships in the port were destroyed beyond recognition, at least the tsunami did not threaten the land.
But as ti passed, the tsunamis grew taller and fiercer, and the players began to feel increasingly powerless.
After a mont of contemplation, so players turned and ran.
They were t with curses under the breath, but there was nothing that could be done.
Faced with such a natural disaster, even players on the path of advancent felt helpless.
If this continued, even high-level players would be in danger.
Thus, more and more players began to silently withdraw.
Official players sighed in their hearts; they couldn’t bla anyone. Many players had already persisted for one or two hours. The exhaustion was imnse.
"If Brother Dong and the others don’t suppress the Apocalypse Song soon, we might die here," whispered an official player. "Damn, there’s a civilian girl inviting our team to a al tomorrow. Damn it! Am I destined to be single even in death?"
"F*ck, then you absolutely must bring along!" another official player grumbled under their breath. "Tsk, here cos another one."
Looking at the towering tsunami dozens of ters high in the distance, the official player sighed.
Then he shouted, "The Extraordinary Association continues to form the array, high-output personnel continue to deploy skills. Don’t let the Holder fight alone!"
"Don’t bother yelling, save so energy," replied a mber of the Extraordinary Association from afar. "There aren’t many of us left who can still move. Sigh... the Holder is also running out of strength."
So players looked up at the sky and saw the slender Holder swaying in midair, clearly exhausted. Indeed, she had been suppressing the tsunami for a long ti without any rest. No one could take her place.
Suddenly, a dense group of teors streaked across the sky.
The players were stunned, then overjoyed.
As the green teors crossed the heavens, they slamd into the tsunami.
The dense and powerful explosions forcibly severed the massive wave.
And without much delay, the teors rose again. The stars seed to fall at this mont, confronting the catastrophe with terrifying power!
And they all knew whose ability it was.
So official players had even fought against him the day before.
Looking at that green figure appearing in the distance.
Up in midair, Xiao Nan heard the cheers from the ground and his eyes curved.
(The next instance—the Hundred Generals Trial Sword, will be a big one. Sothing big is coming, the last ti I had this feeling was during the disaster fog. Everyone, look forward to it. Hehehe)
