Serene’s POV
Zilver started to explain the next ga. It was called "Finders". They had hidden weapons all over the 1 km radius in the forest. We would be taking part as Teams. One hour is the ti limit. Whoever would be able to find the most weapons, will be declared the winner.
"If two teams reach a weapon’s location at the sa ti. They can battle it out for the possession of weapons. Use of power is strictly forbidden, anyone found using their powers will be eliminated. We will be standing by in different locations, to provide you people with a clue for the location of weapons. To get a clue you people will have to solve a riddle. So, good luck and form your teams." Zilver explained the rules.
"Can we find the weapons without clues as well?" Frela asked.
"Of course, they can be hidden anywhere within a 1 km radius which we have marked by a rope. But, they won’t be easy to find." Zilver replied.
Ayrden and I were thinking of teaming up when Ralph ca to us, "Can I join you, ladies?" He asked with a bow.
"Absolutely," I told him.
anwhile, Zeph returned as well:" Did I miss anything?" He asked lazily.
"Only that you are the most desired Alpha Male and all the ladies are drooling over you and want to make you their boyfriend and kiss your lips," Ralph said making smooching sounds with his eyes closed. Ayrden and I began to laugh hysterically.
"Damnit Ralph, cut it out." Zeph’s ears had gone red as he looked at Ralph with an angry expression.
"I was just telling the truth, ask the ladies here who most probably voted for you." He said winking at us, now embarrassing us.
"I think we should focus on the ga before we are left behind. Don’t think Mikasim or Arlo will be joining us." I tried to change the topic.
"Yes, let’s go and get this done with. So, we can finally sleep." Zeph declared. While Ralph put his arms around him and whispered sothing in his ear, which earned him a glare from Zeph.
"Ok, ok let’s go," Ralph said while laughing with his hands raised as if giving up.
"Are you guys ready?" Zilver shouted.
"Yes," everyone yelled unanimously.
"Then let the ga begin." He whistled.
We made our way to the forest. "We should look up the trees. That’s a good place to hide weapons." Ayrden chid in.
"Good idea," Ralph added. We started looking up the trees. Ralph even climbed a few but had no luck.
We spotted a senior a few feet from us. "Let’s get a clue," I told everyone as we headed toward him. "Would you like a clue?" He grinned at us.
"Yes," Zeph answered.
"Then answer my riddle. I am lighter than a drop of rain but not even the strongest and mightiest can hold for long. What am I?" He asked us in a mysterious voice.
We huddled together to think. " What can be so heavy? Could it be so kind of tal? " Ralph exclaid while rubbing his head. " I, think it will be sothing very obvious. " As I wrecked my mind for an answer. " It’s breath. " Zeph replied with ease.
"That’s correct, well done. Here is your clue. You will find one under a blue bush. Good luck." Senior replied with a smile.
"Good answer, Zeph," Ayrden said cheerfully and I nodded.
"That’s my man," Ralph shouted while hugging him.
"So, he said under a blue bush. As far as I rember we have Feron bushes here which are blue. Let’s find one." Ayrden exclaid and we began to look for one. At a distance of a few ters, we found one and began to search frantically for it. Within the center of the bush, we found a small shuriken. Ralph picked it up and bellowed: "Yeehaww," earning a smile from us.
We finally got one, Ralph carefully placed it in his pocket. "Let’s search more bushes and keep an eye on fresh mud because that ans that place has been dug up," I stated.
"That can definitely work," Zeph added.
Within 10 minutes we found two more weapons. A small dagger and a sword. Sword was buried near a tree while the dagger was hidden inside a fake plant.
As we moved forward under the thick canopy of trees, trudging small plants under our feet. The night lights filtered through the leaves and made eerie shapes on the ground. They were mostly teal and erald today.
A few steps forward we saw soone. She was holding a night lamp in her hand which gave her a spectral feeling. Her white robes made her look like a ghost. I gulped and stepped closer to Zeph who didn’t flinch from my close proximity. We moved closer to her and she suddenly turned herself into multiple selves and surrounded us.
Ayrden and I shrieked and I involuntarily gripped Zeph’s arm and closed my eyes. And, surprisingly he didn’t remove my hand.
"If you want to know the location of another weapon. Then you must tell who I am." She sneered at us.
Suddenly, it clicked. Ziva was the master of hallucinations and disguises. It had to be her. I slowly opened my eyes and shouted: "You are Ziva." She laughed coldly but lifted her hallucination.
"That’s correct, I am glad you didn’t forget your lessons Serene. Now, for the clue. On your left, you will find one hanging among the purple fruits." Her eerie voice ca.
"Thanks, Ziva," I replied as we quickly made our way toward the left. "Well, that was creepy." Ralph rolled his eyes.
"Yes, she is indeed creepy," Ayrden added. As they both were walking ahead of Zeph and . Zeph was looking at oddly. I looked at him and then I realized I was still holding onto his arm like a scared kid. Damnit, what was I thinking?
"Sorry," I mumbled and let go of his arm.
"Are you a fairy or a chicken? You should have seen your face." He laughed and I bowed my head in embarrassnt.
"Well, don’t tell you weren’t, Zeph." Ralph ca to my aid.
"Not like you three, at least." He smirked at us with those perfect lips.
We reached a tree with so huge purple fruits hanging on it. They were called Jalid and tasted really sweet. Ralph was a quick climber so he decided to climb and find the weapon. But, at that very instant Tanzil, Mikasim, Salillah and Cainos ca there as well.
"Well, well if it isn’t the Princess," Tanzil smirked at . I ignored her. "So, now you have stolen Ralph from my team too." She continued.
"I ca of my own free will, Tanzil and don’t forget you took Mikasim." Ralph shrugged at her while Mikasim just looked sideways, trying to avoid eye contact with us.
"Whatever, we received a clue about this tree so we are taking the weapon." She announced.
"We did too and we are here first," Ralph answered back.
"Let’s settle it calmly. None of us has found the weapon yet, whoever will hold it first will get to keep the weapon." Ayrden added.
"Seems like a plan to ," Cainos replied. "Then on the count of three, go." As Ayrden counted to three Ralph quickly began to climb the tree and we frantically searched for the weapon from below. Cainos was right behind Ralph. Ralph was touching the fruits one by one. While Cainos was shaking the branches. We patiently waited.
"I got it, I got it." Ralph pulled what looked like a huge fruit from a branch. As he climbed down with it, we saw that it was a bludgeon painted and cleverly disguised as a fruit.
"Sorry, Tanzil. Good luck next ti." Ralph danced it in front of her. Cainos and Salillah began to laugh at Ralph’s actions while Tanzil stomped her feet before turning and walking away followed by Mikasim who whispered a sorry before leaving.
"Good job, Ralph." I gave him a thumbs up.
"How do you stand her?" Zeph asked Ralph out of the blue.
"Whom? Tanzil? It’s easy I just don’t take her actions seriously, which makes it easier." Ralph sounded sincere.
"I can’t stand her." Zeph’s tone had gone serious. "Lighten up, buddy. So girls are like that. You wanna lose your Alpha title with such thinking?" Ralph tried to lighten his mood.
"We should keep going." I reminded them. We found three more weapons before the ti ran out. For one, Zeph had to arm wrestle Paul because both our teams spotted it at the sa ti. It didn’t take more than thirty seconds for Zeph to defeat him and claim the weapon.
Finally, Zilver blew his whistle and called us back. We had found a total of 7 weapons. Tanzil’s team had found 5 and others had an even lower number.
"This was such an entertaining display from you guys. You people were sharp in solving riddles and identifying the camouflaged weapons. Highly impressed by the performance, especially by Team Zeph. Let’s give them a huge round of applause."
Everyone began to clap and cheer for us Zilver invited us forward and gave us what looked like silver badges made like swords.
"Good job you guys," he bead at us and we all thanked him while Ralph held his one high above his head showing it to everyone and making others laugh.
"Now, let’s have a dance session. After that, you people can eat and stay behind for so scary stories or head back to your rooms. Hit the music." He shouted and the tempo changed as loud music began to play and everyone began to move towards the center of the clearing for dance.
