Bian Chenpei slowly stepped onto the arena, his black robe dragging over the ground with a rustling sound.

He crossed his arms, looking at the indifferent Li Ang in the distance, and smiled. "As the Holy Land of the Haotian Taoist Sect, Taihao Mountain distinguishes the position and rank of its mbers by their attire. The lowest-ranking Assistant Priests wear grey robes, Deacons wear brown, Priests wear black, Chief Priests wear green, Godly Officials wear white, and Cardinals wear red. The robes of the four institutes—Holy Ceremony, Torch Language, Faith Cultivation, and Judgent Court—also differ in their patterns. The symbol of the Holy Ceremony Institute is Haoyang, Torch Language’s symbol is a single eye, and our Judgent Court’s symbol is a set of scales. It signifies weighing good and evil, judging all beings, seeking out evil hidden in the shadows, and upholding Haotian’s justice and light."

Bian Chenpei lowered his arms, revealing the white scale pattern on the black background of his robe. "In a way, I quite admire you. Giving up the comfortable position of Little dicine King God, insisting on participating in the arena competition, going through all the trouble and fighting nurous battles, just to stand on this arena, and be defeated by in front of the teachers of the Academic Palace, cultivators from various countries, and countless Yu Country’s citizens, helping make a na for myself. Let Haotian’s light once again envelop Yu Country’s land."

"You have three flaws in your statent," Li Ang said indifferently. "Firstly, Yu Country’s citizens are devout believers in Haotian. Secondly, I am not that significant; defeating won’t make Yu Country’s citizens burn the Academic Palace’s books. And lastly, do you really think you can win?"

"I have no reason to lose." Bian Chenpei shook his head. "Even without Starfall, killing you will still be as easy as turning my hand."

Li Ang sighed. "I heard similar words just a few days ago, and the person standing opposite then was on par with you in realm."

"Are you referring to Quan Jingfeng? re brute strength. He’s not even fit to be compared with ?" Bian Chenpei said with disdain, curling the corner of his mouth.

He raised his arm, slowly circulating his Qi Sea and releasing his Telekinesis, causing the Daggers and Mind Needles tied to his waist to fall from their hooks and float around him.

"Let your instructors and friends see just how completely the great hope they placed in you will be defeated..."

His last words overlapped with the starting sound of the Arena Restriction.

Bian Chenpei’s pupils contracted. He clenched his fist abruptly, and more than a dozen Daggers shot out, following different trajectories and skimming over the arena.

So fast.

Bian Chenpei’s full-strength Daggers turned into afterimages above the arena, constantly emitting piercing whistles as they tore through the air. They were also shaking violently to prevent Li Ang from locking onto them with Telekinesis.

One Heart, Twenty Thoughts.

Bian Chenpei’s lips curled up slightly. His Mind Study talent stood out even among the prodigies of the Judgent Court. The number of Heart Thoughts he could divide was far more than that of an ordinary Rain Listening Realm Cultivator. Overwhelming his opponents by force was the simplest and most effective thod.

"..."

Li Ang’s eyelids lifted slightly, taking in all the incoming Daggers. He threw his left arm forward, instantly activating the Eagle Mountain Hook Claw.

CLANG!

The Eagle Mountain Claw shot out rapidly. The Spider Movent Talisman wrapped around it activated on its own, ensuring the Eagle Mountain Claw firmly attached to the distant arena ground. Li Ang released Telekinesis under his feet. His whole body glided as if on ice, drawing an arc on the arena with the Eagle Mountain Claw as the center. At the sa ti, he activated the talisman plate in his right hand, shooting several Cloud Mist Talismans toward a corner of the arena.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The Cloud Mist Talismans erupted in unison, creating billowing fog that enveloped the arena.

"Still trying to repeat the sa trick?" Bian Chenpei stood in place, looking around with a cold smile. He swept his palm from back to front with a heavy stroke, unleashing Telekinesis to create a howling wind. The roaring wind forcibly dispersed the newly gathered fog, exposing Li Ang to view once more.

"Found you." Bian Chenpei snapped the fingers of his raised right hand, and all the Daggers in mid-air spun and fell simultaneously.

Without looking up, Li Ang knew the Daggers above were plumting toward him. Like a figure skater, he leaned forward, bracing himself with his right hand on the ground, while his left hand held the Triangular Short Spear, angled backward toward the ground below.

THUD!

The Triangular Short Spear suddenly extended, striking the ground and causing circular ripples on the Arena Restriction. The imnse thrust propelled Li Ang forward with great force.

There was a substantial difference in the total amount of Telekinesis between them. If they engaged in a long-distance battle, exchanging blows with Telekinesis and Telekinesis Control Devices to deplete each other’s reserves, Li Ang had no chance of victory.

Thus, I must close the distance first.

Square sensed the enemy’s Telekinesis Control Devices approaching rapidly.

Li Ang slapped the ground with his palm, flipping over mid-glide as he skimd close to the ground to dodge the silently incoming Daggers. Then, his left hand swept over the sash around his waist, unleashing nine Mind Needles tied with thin ropes.

Go.

The Mind Needles shot out, colliding violently with the pursuing Daggers in mid-air and creating sparks.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG—

The dense sounds of clashing tal rang out unceasingly. Thanks to Li Ang’s exceptional Telekinesis control precision, these Mind Needles were agile and responsive, moving as if they were an extension of his own arm. They didn’t need to completely repel the Daggers, just intercept them on their inevitable path and forcefully alter their trajectory.

This bought Li Ang another three seconds.

Three seconds were more than enough.

The distance between them closed rapidly. The calm and composed smile on Bian Chenpei’s face quickly faded, replaced by a grim and somber expression. Despite being on the sa Dao Path and two realms higher in cultivation, he was still unable to defeat his opponent after a prolonged assault. He was even being forced to confront his adversary up close, in front of everyone, like a barbaric Martial Artist. Even being hit just once would be a humiliation for him and for Taihao Mountain.

Bian Chenpei couldn’t accept that. Therefore, he lifted both hands.

Visible ripples appeared in the air. Dust particles floated up from the ground, emitting a faint light in the sunlight.

For Telekinesis Masters, using Telekinesis to hurl massive stones and logs was undoubtedly the most straightforward and brutal way to kill an enemy. A slightly more advanced thod involved using Mind Needles, Mind Threads, and other Telekinesis Control Devices, which consud less Telekinesis and was more efficient. And the most direct thod of killing was to directly damage the adversary’s body with Telekinesis. Tearing skin, shattering bones, ripping apart limbs—even a Great Practitioner of the Candle Cloud Realm wouldn’t survive long with a slit throat or a burst heart.

Taihao Mountain’s Judgent Court had been fighting demons for a millennium. Their long-term practice had enabled them to master countless efficient thods of killing enemies.

For instance, Telekinesis: Red Plum.

This technique involved enveloping the target’s body with countless strands of Telekinesis and exerting force. Due to the varying intensity and direction of the Telekinesis, it would twist the enemy’s skin and flesh in different directions, causing nurous lacerations resembling red plums.

Bian Chenpei’s father, the Chief Execution Officer of the Judgent Court, needed only a glance to strip the flesh off heretics and demons, reducing them to gnarled white bones.

Within the Judgent Court, the Red Plum Skill was also known as Ling Chi.

RIP—

The hem of Li Ang’s clothes suddenly tore. Red lights from triggered restrictions flared up in various places on his body, and the skin on his neck rippled faintly, like waves on water.
