Those who live alone, detached from the flock, are either beasts or immortals.
Cultivation, alchemy, Artifact Refining, Divine Skills...
Every day was monotonous and dull, all because Jia Ren aspired to beco immortal.
Since heaven had granted him this opportunity, he must not let it down!
The problems with the Dusk Treasured Light and the Red Fruit Green Fish were solved one by one. The tasks that remained gradually lessened, but each was a formidable challenge. For instance, the thod to advance the Trickery Path Incarnation and the Demon-Sealing Spirit Tower to the rank of Mysterious Heavenly Spiritual Treasure remained elusive.
The forr seed simple, but one thing had to be ensured: stability! Jia Ren did not want to raise a venomous snake or a vicious wolf ready to bite its master at any mont, investing a great deal of effort and resources only to be stabbed in the back. In such a case, it was better not to refine it at all! If he were to pursue this path, he would need a reliable and feasible thod. This was also why he had conceived of the Trickery Path Incarnation long ago but had never put it into action. Stability and safety took precedence over everything else.
Jia Ren spent a great deal of ti and effort searching for various incarnation Divine Skills, as well as many thods obtained from the Hidden Cultivation Sect and the Sinful Denizens. Unfortunately, none could et his requirents or resolve the issue of contamination. He could only modify the existing Divine Skills, ensuring a stable and viable thod was found.
The second problem was the choice of Trickery Path Incarnation.
The Corpse-eating Bizarre and the Heart-devouring Illusion Bizarre were once my choices, but later I acquired more Bizarre Demon options: the Thought Bizarre, the Locust Bizarre, and the Mimic Bizarre.
The Corpse-eating Bizarre has high potential for growth. In the future, due to its ability to devour a large number of Bizarre Demons, it might beco uncontrollable, so it’s not under consideration.
I still haven’t found a way to erase the will of the Heart-devouring Illusion Bizarre, and there’s a risk of being covertly attacked.
The Thought Bizarre is an advanced version of the Heart-devouring Illusion Bizarre. The slightest mistake with this creature would be akin to nurturing a tiger that will bring disaster.
The better choices seem to be the Locust Bizarre and the Mimic Bizarre.
The Locust Bizarre can’t be killed by the sa thod twice. Once refined into a Trickery Path Incarnation, its utility would be extrely strong, as it would beco an existence that effectively cannot be killed.
The Mimic Bizarre can imitate different Bizarre Demons. It is ever-changing, with excellent effects, and is even superior to the Heart-devouring Illusion Bizarre.
However, both have their own problems.
The Locust Bizarre cannot be killed by the sa thod twice. Currently, I haven’t found a way to clear the mories of the Bizarre Cultivator residing within, only to fragnt them.
The Bizarre Cultivator’s soul also seems to have fragnted, turning it into an imbecile, and the success rate of possessing its body remains unknown.
The situation with the Mimic Bizarre is similar. Although its body was fragnted, the corresponding Bizarre Cultivator was affected.
It still acts instinctively, transforming into a Fire Bizarre to resist the scorching of the Phoenix Fla, its mories remaining intact.
To refine both into Trickery Path Incarnations would be challenging. Since the Bizarre Cultivator within the Mimic Bizarre retains its instincts, it will inevitably imitate a corresponding Bizarre Demon to resist. This makes the latter more difficult to refine than the forr.
Nevertheless, Jia Ren leaned towards the Mimic Bizarre, mainly because of its ever-changing abilities. It could imitate corresponding Bizarre Demons based on the enemy’s situation, making it extrely practical.
It can be said that by mastering the Mimic Bizarre, one essentially commands the abilities of nearly all Bizarre Demons. One’s combat power would be maximized.
Jia Ren searched all around the Lingbao Sect and the Mysterious Realm, trying to find as many useful thods as possible.
Word of Jia Ren’s interest spread. The Grand Elder is interested in Bizarre Cultivator Cultivation Techniques? That can’t be good news!
Jia Ren had not hidden his intentions. Besides, his search for items related to Bizarre Cultivators could not escape the notice of the observant. Tian Lingzi quickly learned of this and could not help but worry.
Normal people always keep a respectful distance from Bizarre Cultivation Techniques, fearing that even looking at a single character would contaminate their minds and lead them to complete depravity. This behavior is too abnormal! Has the Grand Elder seen the limits of humanity and no longer wishes to be human? If it weren’t for the upper limit on the number of Bizarre Demons, and the fact that their numbers decrease further after fusion—preventing everyone from becoming Bizarre Persons... To beco stronger, conflict among those of the sa origin is inevitable. Once Bizarre Demons are completely unleashed, their numbers will not increase but decrease. Otherwise, if the forces of the Sinful Denizens were to widely spread the Sinful Blood, attracting many Cultivators to transform into Bizarre Bodies, who knows how many would turn traitor. With an indestructible body and nearly unstoppable abilities, who knows how many would choose to abandon their human form and beco Bizarre Persons? These Bizarre Persons, it seems, are the true darlings of heaven and earth! Cultivation becos increasingly difficult the further one progresses. However, simply by transforming into a Bizarre Demon, one can obtain imnse power. This presents a shortcut for Cultivators. Jia Ren hasn’t encountered a Cultivation Level bottleneck, nor has he wallowed in self-pity after failing a breakthrough and turned to unorthodox thods. Why then would he make such a choice? Could it be that he cultivated too quickly because... he sacrificed his lifespan? Did he exchange it for a cultivation speed far beyond that of an average Cultivator? Although he appears to be in his pri, could his lifespan actually be short? No, that’s not right. The treasury contains treasures that can extend lifespan, yet the Grand Elder hasn’t taken any...
The more Tian Lingzi thought about it, the more inconceivable it seed. He could only consult Ancestor Ji Kong to discuss counterasures.
"That kid isn’t thinking straight," Ancestor Ji Kong mused, "but he would never do anything to endanger his own life. Unless... unless he wants to beco a Void-level Strange Creature!"
They reasoned that Jia Ren easily suppressed ordinary Strange Creatures. So why would he ruin his future by transforming into one? Only a Void-level Strange Creature could possibly tempt him. With his ability to traverse the Void, if he were to replace the Thought Bizarre, he could roam freely among the various Cultivation Worlds. He could potentially grow into the most terrifying Bizarre Person in existence. It must have been the destruction of the Spirit Realm that caused such a shift in Elder Jia’s thinking. We must find a way to dissuade him. Besides, allowing similar rumors to spread will surely cause panic within the Sect. With strength at Jia Ren’s level, people will inevitably speculate on the true intentions behind his actions. Every move he makes affects the hearts and minds of countless Cultivators. Such unusually abnormal behavior makes those of lower status unable to eat or sleep in peace. Especially when it involves Bizarre Demons, which many regard with as much fear as they would tigers.
After much thought, they decided to approach Jia Ren directly, speak openly and sincerely to dispel their doubts, and thereby reassure everyone. Not wishing to cause a commotion, they did not involve other Elders or Peak Masters. The two of them made their way to the entrance of Jia Ren’s Cave and sent a Sound Transmission Talisman.
A mont later, an expressionless Second Nascent Soul erged from the Cave and clasped his hands. "Sect Master, Master, what brings you two here?"
The Second Nascent Soul had devoured the lingering True Dragon Evil and power from the Immortal Treasure Annihilation Sword via the Spirit Devouring Treasure Art. Its Cultivation Level had advanced rapidly; though not as high as the main body, it had still reached the Late Stage of Void Refinent.
"My main body has already received the ssage and will return shortly."
No sooner had these words fallen than a figure appeared. The newcor was a golden Peng Bird, which retracted its wings and transford into a human.
"I just visited the Tai Qing Sect Realm to look for so useful items."
"It’s rare for both of you to visit together. What’s the matter?"
Jia Ren, having received the ssage, had returned from the Tai Qing Sect almost instantaneously. He was back in the ti it took the Second Nascent Soul to speak a single sentence. Traversing tens of thousands of miles in such a short ti was breathtaking. Although it wasn’t the first ti they had witnessed it, they were still astounded by Jia Ren’s incredible speed.
Since he already possesses such a body, unparalleled in the world, why would he give up his human form? Tian Lingzi thought.
"Such extre speed is rare in the world," Tian Lingzi remarked, his words carrying a deeper aning. "A Bizarre Body is ultimately no match for one’s original, natural body."
Ancestor Ji Kong couldn’t help but roll his eyes. He always spoke straightforwardly with his disciple and cut straight to the chase, "I hear you’re planning to transform into a Bizarre Body?!"
"Don’t go astray! Why beco sothing that’s neither human nor Bizarre Demon, so kind of monster, when you’re perfectly fine as a human?"
"Your talent is unmatched in this world! Ascending to immortality is well within your reach!"
"Those Void-level Strange Creatures, feared as cataclysms now, might beco so trivial in a few centuries that you could kill a hundred of them with a single slap!"
Jia Ren, initially puzzled by the arrival of his two venerable elders, now understood the true reason for their visit. The news of my research into Bizarre Demon Cultivation Techniques must have leaked, he realized. Soone must have mistaken it for wanting to transform into a Bizarre Body.
The Sect Master of Lingbao Sect and his own Master personally paying him a visit made Jia Ren realize his current stature was different. Who knows how many people are over-interpreting my actions now. No wonder those in high positions are accustod to keeping a low profile.
"You’ve misunderstood," Jia Ren began. "I am indeed interested in the power of Bizarre Demons, but not in transforming into a Bizarre Body..."
"Rather, I am looking for a way to refine Bizarre Demons into incarnations."
"To , Bizarre Demons are just another type of Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures. If an effective thod to utilize them can be found, they can also beco a powerful asset."
Jia Ren had already experinted with this in practice. The Corpse-Eating Fiend Pill, the Tracing Bizarre Talisman, the Wish Bizarre Wheel, and other such treasures were all products of transforming the power of Bizarre Demons. Not wanting to cause himself trouble, he had not disclosed this matter to outsiders. Now that the entire Mysterious Realm was under the control of the Lingbao Sect, and the Sect reigned supre, he had considered making the Bizarre Path treasures he refined publicly known. In the end, however, he had shelved the idea.
The reason is simple. People’s hearts are fickle! If such thods were widely spread across the Mysterious Realm, and everyone used Bizarre Path treasures against their enemies, wouldn’t this indirectly spread the contamination of Bizarre Demons? The power of Bizarre Demons is hard to guard against. A slight mistake could lead to a large-scale contamination outbreak. Even Low-Order Cultivators could possess the power to destroy an entire Sect, which would only intensify conflict. Once Cultivators get a taste of this power and wholeheartedly pursue Bizarre Demons, how could there be any place left for normal Cultivators to survive in the Mysterious Realm?
Ultimately, Jia Ren was still a Cultivator, and he had to consider the future of the Lingbao Sect. He did not wish to see a day when Sect Disciples, in pursuit of power, deliberately released Bizarre Demons.
It’s best to curb this at its source.
"A Trickery Path Incarnation?!"
Tian Lingzi and Ancestor Ji Kong looked at each other; the answer they received differed from their suspicions.
"During ancient tis, when Bizarre Demons first appeared, all the Great Sects researched them..." Tian Lingzi said.
"Refining them into Trickery Path Incarnations was one approach, but all attempts ended in failure. Furthermore, it was decreed that future generations must not conduct such research."
"Ultimately, this was because the contamination from the bizarre powers could not be completely eliminated."
"A Trickery Path Incarnation is different from possessing a Bizarre Demon to beco a Bizarre Person. In the latter case, the Divine Soul and the bizarre power beco indistinguishable; they essentially beco another type of Bizarre Demon."
"The Trickery Path Incarnation is different. The Cultivator’s soul residing within a Trickery Path Incarnation will be constantly contaminated by bizarre power."
"This contamination cannot be isolated and will plague them for a lifeti."
"The slightest error, and the Trickery Path Incarnation will go out of control. It can even contaminate the main body’s Divine Soul with bizarre power..."
"Ultimately, every Cultivator who attempted to create a Trickery Path Incarnation t a grim fate, without exception."
"Jia Ren, your future is bright! You have no need to dig your own grave!"
