The grand formation was broken, and the altar was shaken and damaged, rendering it useless. Guarding the surrounding peaks of the outer eight altars was now aningless.
Around Tianxu Mountain, chaos erupted into a fierce battle. Amid the confusion, Lei Jun activated his life-bound Wind Talisman. Guided by spiritual power, his figure lded with the wind and vanished into the night.
The protective power of the outer grand formation continued to crumble, allowing a flood of Yellow Heaven Sect disciples to surge in.
"Why hasn't the core of the grand formation been completely destroyed? We still need to press the attack on the summit."
A middle-aged Daoist leading the Yellow Heaven Sect barked, "Our uncles are heading to the summit! We’ll head to the base of the main peak. Our task is to seize the Alchemy Hall, Treasury, and dicinal Garden. If you encounter anyone along the way, kill them quickly—don’t waste ti!"
Lei Jun observed for a mont. The battle in the mountain was a chaotic ss, with no clear outco in sight. He concealed himself quietly, refusing to leave Qiántiān Peak. Braving the howling Violent Wind, he slipped into the breached heart of the mountain.
The Upper-Moderate On had hinted that after the upheaval on the main peak, the critical mont would arrive just before midnight. The deeper he ventured into the mountain, the harsher the winds grew, too severe for Lower Heavens cultivators to withstand.
Fortunately, Lei Jun had the Breath-Taking Flag. Though he couldn’t unleash its full power, it was enough for protection. As he channeled his mana, the flag unfurled, emitting a faint yellow glow. The light condensed mid-air like solid earth and stone, continuously replenishing as the violent wind eroded it.
He descended carefully, searching ticulously. The howling wind interfered with his senses, leaving him empty-handed for a long while. As midnight drew closer, he frowned.
Suddenly, a gentle breeze swept through. Amid the storms, he heard a different, subtle wind—distinct from the violent winds swirling in the mountain. The sound was both familiar and foreign.
It was the sa breeze that greeted him when he first arrived in this world, atop Green Mountain.
A realization struck Lei Jun. He followed the faint, otherworldly wind deep into the mountain, finally arriving at a void-like space. Though surrounded by rock, there was no violent wind here, as if it were a vacuum.
Lei Jun withdrew the Breath-Taking Flag, and the yellow glow and protective earth vanished. The familiar breeze brushed against his face again.
Unlike the mysterious, untraceable wind on Green Mountain, this ti he found the source. In the pitch-dark depths, a shimring mark glowed softly on a rock surface.
The mark was small, about three inches square, with simple patterns that radiated boundless mystery. As he approached, the breeze vanished. Only a steady circulation of air remained, moving harmoniously with no discernible start or end.
Recalling Elder Li Cangting’s past explorations, Lei Jun’s long-held suspicion was confird. This mark, like the one at Tianxu Chuan's river source in Jiuzhou Ridge, ca from that very elder—the previous bearer of the Tianshi Seal.
The mark indeed originated from the Tianshi Seal, the foremost treasure among the Three Treasures of the Tianshi.
Lei Jun hadn’t expected that the breeze that cleansed his mind on Green Mountain was also tied to the Tianshi Seal. Could the real Tianshi Seal have once been there? Was Senior Sister Xu Yuanzhen searching for the seal when she appeared on Green Mountain?
But why did she leave empty-handed?
His mind raced with questions, but with midnight approaching, he had no ti to ponder. The Fourth-Grade Opportunity was steeped in karmic complications, demanding caution.
No wonder the on was Upper-Moderate rather than Supre Good.
Exhaling deeply, Lei Jun steadied himself and tried to collect the mark. He first attempted using the Upper Qing Golden Bamboo as he had with the Fire Marrow Yangfish. But lightning erupted from the mark, and the bamboo trembled, unable to contain it.
He then drew the Breath-Taking Flag. This ti, a flash of yellow light engulfed the mark, which detached from the rock and rged into the flag’s glow. A profound, intricate pattern appeared on the flag's surface.
Lei Jun didn’t pause to examine it. Shielding himself with the flag, he ascended through the violent wind, exiting the mountain just before midnight.
Landing outside Qiántiān Peak, he glanced back. The peak looked unchanged, but as midnight struck, the wind within the mountain weakened and faded. Under the night sky, the shattered peak seed ordinary, devoid of spirituality or danger—just another barren mountain.
But Lei Jun knew better. Seeing the wind dissipate, he grew more cautious.
He mustn’t return to this place.
Turning away, Lei Jun left. anwhile, the Yellow Heaven Sect's assault on Tianxu Mountain’s summit intensified. Without the grand formation’s protection, most Tianxu Sect disciples were caught off guard. The sect's defensive positions on the main peak fell one after another.
The Yellow Heaven Sect’s elite cultivators now gathered before the main peak’s Dao Palace. They had expected their inside agents to destroy the formation core completely. But for so reason, half of it remained intact, forcing them into direct combat.
Lower Heavens disciples attacked key locations at the base and midsection of the peak.
Lei Jun’s gaze fell on a branch residence under siege. Half-collapsed, the residence revealed several Tianxu Sect disciples still resisting desperately.
A Yellow Heaven Sect disciple asked, “There don’t seem to be any Li family mbers here. Should we try persuading them to surrender?”
The leading Daoist sneered, “Those aligned with us live; those who aren't, deserve to die.”
Another laughed, “Don’t worry. Once our leader captures Mount Longhu, we’ll reclaim our ancestral grounds. We won’t lack followers.”
“Enough talk! Don’t waste ti—kill them!”
Lei Jun knew other factions must be secretly supporting the Yellow Heaven Sect. Otherwise, despite Tianxu Sect's troubles, the sect couldn’t have grown this strong under constant suppression.
Even so, the Yellow Heaven Sect had suffered harshly for years. It was unreasonable to expect high moral standards from those struggling to survive. Those who upheld them deserved praise; those who didn’t were understandable.
But extremism was a sign of losing control.
Shaking his head, Lei Jun pulled out a talisman. The Five Thunder Talisman glowed with five colors: gold, green, black, red, and brown. Now, only the red shone brightly.
Fire Vault Thunder.
In the next instant, blazing thunder exploded behind the Yellow Heaven Sect disciples!
The blasts cascaded into a chain of explosions, growing fiercer—like a warehouse full of Thunder Talismans and Fla Talismans detonating in succession!
