Chapter 60 - College Student Summoned to Congress Because of His Breathing thod
Jin Yu invited Ji Zixuan and Fu Tong to their treasure vault.
The physical vault at the mansion contained insignificant items, including spirit stones, low-grade treasures, consumable goods, manuals, and books. However, for a mortal, the celestial fox’s garbage was more precious than gold.
Upon entering the vault, Fu Tong found a nostalgic place that he often visited in the ga. Bookshelves full of heaven-grade and earth-grade skill books, cabinets full of dried herbs and sealed heaven-grade pills, and racks full of armor and weapons ford rows and columns in the massive 200-square-ter hall. Everything looked the sa as he last rembered.
Fu Tong glanced at the items and bitterly smiled. Sotis, he felt poorer than Jin Yu.
As for Ji Zixuan, she had visited this place several tis before, and she had already taken a few spears and manuals for training. She simply followed them to see what Fu Tong would take.
Jin Yu stopped at the large rack full of chests. These chests contained nothing but second-handed storage rings, which they had plundered from immortals and cultivators of this world.
This reminded Fu Tong of the rings of immortals that he had examined. He rembered that he left them in the mansion after he and his wives had a sexy ti together, but he gave most of them to Jin Yu to fill the treasury.
Jin Yu fetched a chest full of storage rings and put them on the floor. She told Fu Tong.
"I think I put spatial rings full of spirit stones sowhere in one of these chests. Help sort these, and you can keep all the spirit stones. Oh, don’t forget to filter the grades of items. Put all junk in one ring and keep artifacts of the sa type together."
"..."
Fu Tong wryly smiled. His wife ended up making him do the chore. At least, she didn’t ask him to wash clothes and do the dishes.
It took a whole day to sort ten thousand storage rings in this chest. A hundred similar chest remained unsorted, but they didn’t need to go through all of those.
They found a hundred rings full of spirit stones that Jin Yu had ntioned. Each ring contained a million spirit stones.
Fu Tong took 50 rings, enough for him to enter seclusion for 10 more months. However, before he could return to the sect, Jin Yu and Ji Zixuan dragged him around and kept them company for three days.
After filling them with love, Fu Tong returned to the sect.
—
During the month of Fu Tong’s seclusion, changes occurred within the outer disciple district. Those who had learned Fu Tong’s heaven-grade breathing technique started showing results as their strength grew by one or two levels within the month.
Their progress caught the attention of their friends. When they were asked, they told everybody that it was Fu Tong who taught them. A few disciples with good mory also shared the mnemonic verses with their comrades, and the breathing technique spread.
While Fu Tong was busy at the Celestial Fox City, the verses reached the inner disciple district, where foundation establishnt cultivators lurked. It reached the ears of the sect leader.
—
5 AM the next day, Fu Tong visited the contribution hall to extend the rent. Upon arrival, he found the contribution hall empty, as everybody was either sleeping or resting.
When the deacon saw Fu Tong, he stood up and welcod him.
"Junior Fu Tong! You’re finally here."
"What’s up?"
"Grand Elder Yin has heard of your contribution and your breathing thod. Since you published it for everybody, we’ve decided to add so contribution points to your account. Co, let see your token. I’ll update it."
"..."
Fu Tong handed over his sect’s ID, and the deacon brought it to the back office. A few minutes later, he ca back with the updated token.
1,750,000 Contribution Points.
He got a million points from all the trouble.
The deacon grinned and rubbed his hands. He asked Fu Tong.
"Do you have any more cultivation thods that you can share with the sect? We’re willing to purchase them... with our contribution points, of course."
Fu Tong smirked. He didn’t need points at the mont, as he had almost everything he needed. However, he was still searching for ingredients to make the foundation establishnt stage advancent pill, which was required for the stage breakthrough.
"Is there holy water for sale? If you have those, I might consider dropping another breathing thod, a heaven-grade thod."
"Holy water? That’s easy! What’s the na of the holy water? There’s so much holy water out there."
Holy Water was the nickna of natural water or liquid, which contained pure Qi. As their origins ca from different places, cultivators categorized them by grades and nas of their origin. Therefore, the term "holy water" was ambiguous without identifying its source.
"Morning Dew of Yin Night Flower."
Morning Dew of Yin Night Flower was one of the necessary ingredients for the perfect ascension pill for the foundation establishnt stage breakthrough. However, no one knew about this recipe yet.
As soon as the na dropped, the deacon flinched. He stared at Fu Tong and frowned.
"J-Junior. You know that it’s impossible to get, right?"
Morning Dew of Yin Night Flower could only be found in a mystic realm, which the Divine Sect had access to. However, due to their current financial situation, they lent it to a rival cult, Mount Vulture Sect, so that they could stay afloat.
Fu Tong gave up on it and asked for other ingredients.
"How about Golden Crow Flower’s Tear and Crude Blood Oil?"
"...We don’t have any. Also, what are those?"
Fu Tong chose not to answer. He changed the subject. "Never mind. Is there anything else? I have several places to visit next."
"One more thing, junior!" The deacon recalled the order from the inner sect. He fetched a scroll and passed it to Fu Tong.
Fu Tong opened the scroll and found the handwritten mandate of the sect leader. The ssage was simple.
Report to Sect Master Manor within 30 days.
Fu Tong was pleasantly surprised. He had planned to get Li Wushuang’s attention in the upcoming tournant, but she sohow summoned him to the main sect first. He might be able to complete the main mission early.
"When did this arrive?" Fu Tong asked.
"Two weeks ago. I sent soone to call you, but you were in seclusion."
Fortunately, he still had two weeks to comply. Otherwise, it might get ugly.
"Alright. Relay the ssage to the sect leader that I’ll visit her soon."
Fu Tong kept the scroll and returned ho. After a long bath, he put on his sect’s brown uniform. At noon, he flew toward the main sect’s area, where only elders and core disciples could access.
