Fu Tong returned ho and continued working as the lord, as though nothing had happened. People around him noticed how his cultivation had rapidly risen overnight, yet they kept their mouths shut.
The days were slow. In the morning, he dealt with city managent, docunts, policies, and daily disputes. In the afternoon, he visited the spirit stone realm to gather resources and only returned at night to join with his family.
He was so busy that he got ntally exhausted. Still, he maintained his routine, preparing for the inevitable incidents.
And it finally arrived. Lu Liang returned from the immortal realm along with Lu Liekong. They both were tattered as though they had been ambushed along the way.
The duo collapsed in front of the Celestial Fox City. Lu Liang panted and shouted.
"Lu Liang has returned from the immortal realm! I bear urgent news!"
Fu Tong dropped the scrolls and books that he had been scribing. After leaping out of the manor and flying over the wall, he landed in front of Lu Liang and Lu Liekong.
He inspected the two n. Lu Liang had lost his left arm while Lu Liekong had a hole in his chest, but he was still alive.
Fu Tong rushed to them and fed them a healing pill. He asked Lu Liang.
"What happened? Why are you like this?"
Lu Liang ate the pill and glanced at Lu Liekong. Noticing that the hunchback strategist’s complexion looked better after Fu Tong fed him an elixir, he was relieved.
He confessed everything.
"The third prince, Dong Huang, has committed treason. He has murdered his father and usurped the throne!"
Fu Tong’s eyes narrowed. The event was supposed to happen in the fourth Chapter, but the scenario quest was still in Chapter two.
Sothing didn’t feel right. He thought of Ji Laopan, who seed strangely distant during the last birthday banquet party. Fu Tong didn’t get to talk much to him.
"He can’t possibly do it alone. How is your clan? Who are we fighting?"
Lu Liang gnashed his teeth in anger as he muttered.
"The Xia Clan’s Xia Chen. The Long Clan’s Long Baiqi. And the Empyrean Demonic Cult’s Pei Gui Hong!"
Fu Tong’s eyes widened in disbelief. Xia Chen and Long Baiqi were not surprising, but the last person shouldn’t have existed anymore.
"Pei Gui Hong is dead. I killed him myself. That’s impossible!"
"I believe so too, but..."
Lu Liang didn’t know what to explain. He participated in the battle and encountered Pei Gui Hong with his own eyes. He, too, couldn’t believe that the sex pest was still alive.
Lu Liekong coughed and raised his head. He gave Fu Tong a aningful look and muttered the keyword.
"The Ti Sage Nazzeck. The one you stole the bloodline from. He knew what you did, and he resurrected Pei Gui Hong to hunt you down!"

Fu Tong could sense a chill running down his spine. Ti Sage Nazzeck was the true na of the boss of Chapter 8, who always threatened the players and surviving NPCs to reset the tiline as he disliked peace. He could only be killed by the 8th Chapter villainess, the daughter of Ji Zixuan.

However, as Ji Zixuan’s daughter had been brainwashed by Xiao Han Ce to hunt down the players, the Ti Sage also joined the hunt to win her heart. But eventually, the players dispelled the brainwashing spell on her, and she regained her mory. Humiliated by her father’s sexual abuse and ashad of her past actions, she detonated herself, taking the Ti Sage and others with her.
In combat terms, Ti Sage Nazzeck was as difficult as other main villains and protagonists. He could stop ti, accelerate ti, and even reverse ti by a few minutes. He also applied the sa trick that Pei Gui Hong used, unable to be hard by n whose cultivation was still under the sage realm. Only female players could kill him in a direct fight.
As for the power of resurrection, only a full-fledged sage could do. However, by doing so, Ti Sage Nazzeck violated the heavenly laws and karma laws. He was automatically disqualified as a sage, and his cultivation should have already regressed to the saint realm.
Fu Tong was baffled. He and the Ti Sage never interacted with each other. The latter had no reason to sacrifice his future cultivation for revenge.

"What’s done is done." Fu Tong consoled his potential ally. "So, how bad is it? What about the Lu Clan? How many survived? And what about Dong Bai?"
Lu Liang answered in Lu Liekong’s stead. "Her Highness is safe. General Lu Potian and a thousand n managed to cut through the encirclent and escaped along with Her Highness. But the rest of us have been wiped out."
"How many are they in total? What’s their number?"
"If we’re adding the cultists from Pei Gui Hong’s side, 300,000 immortals and 2,000 saints."
In short, they got overrun. Including nasty villains like Dong Huang and Long Baiqi, these guys could rally everybody in the immortal realm. They could also flip their tongues and turn white to black if they wanted to. Moreover, to get to them, Fu Tong and his crew might have to get through Xia Chen first, and they weren’t ready for this protagonist yet.

Fu Tong thought of the Ji Clan. He questioned further.
"What happened to the Ji Clan? They acted kinda strange the last ti they visited . Don’t tell that they join Dong Huang’s faction?"
Lu Liekong shook his head and struggled to sit up. He explained.
"The Ji Clan has migrated to the saint realm under the Azure Long Clan. Long Yunfei sheltered them."
Hearing the na of Long Hao’s grandfather again, Fu Tong was delighted. At the sa ti, his expression turned dark.
He forced Long Yunfei to kill Long Hao. Fu Tong was not confident that Long Yunfei wouldn’t hold a grudge against him.
For now, Fu Tong heard enough. He escorted the two n to the guest houses and let them recuperate.

The parents cheered and bowed deeply. The mother hugged ng Tianrui and congratulated him. As for his father, he patted ng Tianrui’s head and told the boy to study hard.
And thus, the parents reluctantly left ng Tianrui with Fu Tong. With this, ng Tianrui acquired a legitimate reason to cultivate in earnest, as he always wished.
Fu Tong gazed at ng Tianrui and apologized.

He paused and announced a piece of bad news.
"The Immortal Realm has fallen. The Heavenly Emperor is dead. We cannot ascend anymore, or we will be transmigrated into the star system full of hostile immortals from the rebel faction."
The crowd murmured. Even ng Tianrui widened his eyes in shock.
Jin Yanxiong gulped and asked. "Who killed the emperor? How did that happen?!"
Fu Tong relayed what Lu Liekong and Lu Liang had told him. It took a while to explain.
After minutes of explanation and analysis, the crowd was silent. They looked at each other, baffled and flabbergasted by the sudden changes in the regi. Everybody wondered what would happen to them and the higher realm.
Fu Tong clapped his hands to draw their attention. He moved on to his next agenda.
"Because we can no longer ascend, we will convert this world’s laws to support karmic energy and immortals."
All eyes were fixated on Fu Tong. ng Tianrui, as the most educated person in the eting, raised his hand and asked.
"Altering the karmic energy and the heavenly laws requires the presence of the Fusang Tree. It only grows in the sage realm. Do you have one?"
Fu Tong exhaled deeply. He had prepared the seeds and the divine shard to create the tree, but he had never expected to use it in the real world. He confessed.
"I do."
