"Hello, Miss, how may I help you?"
The salesman looked at with a polite smile. I walked over to the counter, standing in front of the limited edition watch.
"May I take a closer look?" I asked, pointing at the watch.
"Of course," he replied, carefully taking it out of the case. "Please put on these gloves when handling it."
After putting on the gloves, I picked up the watch, inspecting it closely. Its craftsmanship was excellent. Made from platinum, it had a slightly more subtle appearance than its yellow gold counterparts.
The more I looked at it, the more I felt that it fit with Christian’s personality.
"We offer engraving, and you can choose the stone that goes into the center of the watch." The salesman was very professional and explained all of the features calmly.
After he was done talking, I had already made up my mind. This was the gift that I would give to Christian. Though I was sure he already had watches that were more expensive than this, this watch suited him perfectly.
"I’ll take it!" I looked up at the salesman happily.
He responded with a smile, as for the customizations? Here are the available stones. He pulled out a small box filled with tiny gems.
Imdiately, my eyes gravitated to the sapphire. It reminded of his deep blue eyes and fit with the overall look of the watch the best.
"This one, please," I pointed at the sapphire.
"Very good choice. What about the engraving?" he asked once more.
I thought about various options. Things like nas, phrases, and dates. "Does it have to be letters or numbers?"
"No, Miss. It could be anything. Though I don’t recomnd anything too detailed, as it won’t show well on the small watch."
He flipped the watch over, showing the area where the engraving would be.
"Could you do a rose?" I asked.
"A rose? Yes, of course," he replied, writing it down on a slip of paper.
After finalizing the customization options, he led over to the register to pay. I looked around the store to make sure that Morgan and Cherie weren’t around before I pulled out the black card.
It feels weird buying Christian a gift with his own money...One day, when I have my own money, I’ll get him sothing even better.
When I handed the card over to the salesman, he visibly froze, looking at like he saw a ghost.
"Is there sothing wrong?" I asked, slightly worried that there may be issues with the card.
"No, not at all. Please forgive if I’ve been rude earlier," he said with a shaky voice.
I tilted my head, confused, "No, I didn’t find you rude at all." He was polite the entire ti and explained everything well, but I wasn’t sure why he suddenly acting like he had offended .
He nodded, relaxing a little bit, "Where would you like us to deliver the watch once it’s finished?"
I thought for a mont. I knew that sending it ho would be a horrible idea, and the chances of the watch actually making it to Christian were almost zero.
Would sending it to the office be okay?
After a few more monts of thought, I finally settled on sending it to the office. This way, I could at least gift the watch to Christian in person.
"Vittoria Global please." I said and specified the contact and office number.
As soon as I ntioned Christian’s company, the salesman started to tremble.
"Excuse , is everything okay?" I asked. His pale face caused to worry about his health. I was ready to call the hospital if he needed it.
"I’m okay, I promise I’m okay! Thank you for your concern!" he said, bowing his head a few tis. "Would you like the socks delivered with the watch or would you like to bag them for you?"
"Delivered, please," I replied. I’d rather not have to explain why I bought a pair of n’s socks to my family.
Just as I finished the purchase, Morgan ca over with a pile of random clothing.
"I want all of this," she ordered.
I frowned, looking at the huge pile of clothes. Cherie walked over and voiced her dissatisfaction.
"Are you his mother? Why are you buying him so many things?" she rolled her eyes.
"...no...I just didn’t know...what he liked..." Morgan answered awkwardly.
Cherie let out a laugh, "Ha! So fiancée you are! Don’t even know the most basic things about your future husband!"
"We have plenty of ti to get to know each other like that! What’s important is that he loves !" she roared, causing everyone in the store to look over at her. "Leslie! My purse!!!"
Her loud voice startled . I walked over and handed her the purse before carefully slipping away to prevent myself from feeling more second-hand embarrassnt.

A similar scene happened in all of the other stores we visited. Morgan continued to clash with Cherie over every little thing, causing chaos in all of the stores we ended up visiting.
The last place we visited was a designer shoe store. The designer was LAYLA and was one of the most sought-after brands when it ca to won’s shoes.
None of the shoes here were mass-produced, aning that there were very few of every shoe, making them very exclusive.
However, exclusivity had a steep price tag. Even a family like ours didn’t have the budget to simply buy every pair we wanted.
Cherie’s eyes lit up as soon as we walked inside. "This must be LAYLA’s flagship store! I’ve only ever been to a secondary branch. This store is so much bigger!"
"Yes, it is the flagship store. It’s the only store that I buy shoes in," said Morgan, flaunting her made-up superiority.
We were imdiately greeted as soon as we walked in.
"Welco to LALYA. Please let us know if there’s anything specific you ladies are looking for!" The saleswoman was a beautiful blonde woman with a bright smile.
"Thank you," nodded Morgan. Even she didn’t have the guts to act high and mighty in this store. The rest of us followed her lead and greeted the saleswoman before walking into the store to look at all the beautiful shoes on display.
