"So...How did you like the flight?" he asked as soon as we got dressed.

I looked at him and shook my head teasingly.

"It was certainly sothing else," I said with a giggle.

"Aww, so does that an you wouldn’t want to do that again?" asked Christian. His tone sounded slightly dejected, making him look like a sad puppy.

I turned around and placed my hand on his cheeks before placing a small kiss on his lips.

"I would do that a hundred tis over again, and then so."

His mouth curved up into a big smile, "I don’t know if I’ve been so excited to fly again. In fact, why don’t we just stay in the plane?"

We continued to laugh as we made our way out of the plane. Christian reminded to put my sunglasses back on, while he also put on a baseball cap.

It was only once we made it outside that I realized we were in a foreign place. I was expecting to land in a large airport that had many people, but this one barely even looked like an airport.

"Where are we?" I asked curiously.

The sun was shining brightly, and there was a warm breeze. There were many palm trees around, indicating that we were sowhere in the tropics.

"This is the relatively secluded island nation of St.Omaz. Not many people know of this place due to their heavily restricted tourism laws. Those who do know of it call it paradise."

"Paradise?" I asked curiously. Though the surroundings looked nice, I wasn’t sure if it was at a level that I would consider calling it ’Paradise’.

Christian flashed a small smile, "You’ll see when we exit the airport."

We followed the stewardess out to our private car. "Please enjoy your stay," she bowed slightly after we sat down.

As we made our way out of the airport area and towards the town, I realized why people called this place paradise.

Beautiful and unique buildings covered in colorful tile lined the wide, clean streets. All of the locals dressed beautifully and colorfully.

"Wow! It’s so beautiful! Even the plants look extra vibrant here!" I said, looking at the surroundings with awe.

Christian nodded, "The unique climate here allows plants to grow exceptionally well. The food here is so of the best I’ve ever tried, and I attribute that to their high-quality produce."

The entire drive to our hotel was filled with beautiful and interesting sights. The amount of color in the local architecture and fashion created a very positive feeling environnt.

Our hotel was equally impressive. It was a huge building that was also covered in beautiful tiles that ford colorful mosaic designs.

The front of the hotel had large, welcoming arches that created a separation between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

It wasn’t until we walked into the hotel that I realized that we were right on the beach.

"Christian, this place is beautiful!" I exclaid. Everywhere I looked, I was pleasantly surprised.

"Welco! May I have your nas for the reservation?" the receptionist asked with enthusiasm.

Christian stepped forward, "Vittoria, Christian Vittoria."

The receptionist nodded almost imdiately. "Your room is ready, please follow , Mr. and Mrs. Vittoria."

I glanced up at Christian to see his reaction to the way I was addressed, and was t with his wide grin.

I guess this isn’t the first ti soone mistook for his wife. Mrs. Leslie Vittoria does have a nice ring to it...

We followed the receptionist down the colorful hallways to our room. The mont I entered, I felt like I had walked into paradise. The beautiful and spacious interior was one thing, but the breathtaking views of the ocean and lagoons were another.

The gentle breeze carried the salty ocean air into the room through the massive open glass doors and windows.

Strings of hanging gems and colorfully painted wooden beads decorated the walls and doorways.

"Do you like it?" asked Christian.

"I more than like it! This is amazing, I’ve never seen anything like it!" I exclaid. My heart was pounding from excitent and the breathtaking views.

"Good, I’m glad. Our dinner reservation is in an hour," he said calmly.

"An hour? I need to go get ready then!" I said, slightly panicked.

Christian led through the living room and kitchen, up the staircase to where the massive bedroom was.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed that there were a number of suitcases in the corner of the bedroom.

"When did those get here?" I asked, walking over to my suitcases.

"They were delivered straight from the airport. Also, I had Blake send over the ones from the company," he smiled.

With the matter of clothing settled, I walked into the adjacent bathroom to finally shower. While I did my best to clean up on the airplane, I was in desperate need of a shower.

The bathroom in this unit was an indoor/outdoor design, which had an option of taking an open-air bath. However, due to the ti crunch, I simply hopped into the shower to rinse off.

Halfway through my shower, Christian jumped in to join . Once we were both clean, we got busy getting dressed for this special restaurant that Christian wanted to take to.

At first, I opened the suitcases that I brought from ho, but frowned looking at all of the professional officewear. Outside of pencil skirts and blouses, there were only a few sets of sleepwear and underwear.

Good thing Christian allowed to pack the items that he bought .

I quickly switched over to the other suitcases and ended up choosing a colorful, flowing maxi dress. Its bright colors reminded of the town, and I felt that it would fit with the surrounding environnt perfectly.

When Christian ca out of the bathroom, he too was wearing a colorful dress shirt. It was an interesting blend between professional and playful that suited him perfectly.

"Well, you look incredibly beautiful," he said as he placed his arm around my waist.

"You, too, handso. I like that shirt on you, it really suits you," I said, returning the complint.

From his close proximity, I was able to sll his natural scent mixed with his shampoo and musky cologne.

"Are you ready to go?" he asked, placing a kiss on my neck.

"Mm, yes. I’m ready," I smiled while enjoying his affections.

He held my hand as he walked back out to the hotel lobby. A car was already waiting for us outside, and we quickly got in.

The drive to the restaurant was as enjoyable as the drive from the airport was. Beautifully colored buildings and soft music played throughout the whole city.

It didn’t take long before we arrived at another waterfront building.

"Here we are. I’m very excited to bring you here," said Christian.

We both stepped out of the car and made our way inside, holding hands. The restaurant was similar to the hotel, with wide open doors that blurred the line between what was indoors and what was outdoors.

The salty oceanic air drifted inside, adding a certain flair to the poshness of the restaurant.

"I hope you like seafood," he said, leaning over to whisper into my ear.

I decided to be playful and act startled, "Don’t you know? I hate seafood!"

Christian’s eyes widened. He looked so panicked that I couldn’t continue my act for much longer.

"Haha, I’m just ssing with you. Of course, I love seafood. I’m guessing it’s the specialty here?" I smiled.

"Wow, you had really worried there for a second. And yes, this place specializes in seafood dishes, though there are many other options as well," he smiled.

We were led to a private dining room that had a stunning ocean view.

"Relaxing here, isn’t it? There’s sothing about seeing the ocean here that is particularly calming," said Christian. "You know. There’s a second reason this place is called Paradise."

I looked at him curiously, "What’s the second reason?"

"This island nation not only has a unique climate, it’s location is also special. This island has the world’s largest gem mine."

"Gem mine?" My eyes sparkled. I thought of Yulia and the designs she sketched the other day.

Christian nodded, "This was the secondary reason I brought you here. If there’s anything you find interesting, we’ll buy it."

I nodded happily. While I knew that we had a big batch of sapphires already, other accent stones would be a good addition.

"I can’t wait to show you so of the sketches that Yulia ca up with. I’m confident that the season launch with go well!" I said.

Christian listened to describing the drawing with great interest. I did my best to describe every detail and promised to show him the digital drawings that Yulia promised to send this week.

"The only thing left is to decide on which auction house to host the event," I said just as the food arrived.

Christian looked at with a rather serious expression, "Forgive for deciding this matter without consulting you. But I’ve already made a promise to do it at the Moresi auction house."

His words stunned slightly. While I understood that hosting it at my family’s auction house was definitely a top choice, I initially felt that Christian was reluctant to host it there.

The second reason I was slightly stunned was the way he worded "at the Moresi auction house" instead of "at your auction house".

Its like he’s trying to separate from my family’s business.
