Chen Ming was cornered in the alley by people from the loan company. He knelt and begged, "Please give a few more days. I can pay back the money as soon as I contact Mrs. Gu, I swear."

The leader glanced at his n, and one of the lackeys pulled out a woman from who knows where. "Do you know this woman?"
Chen Ming thought these heartless people wanted to harass his sister. She had just given birth; he couldn’t let her get involved.
He fixed his eyes on the woman, "Xiao Xue, why are you here? What have they done to you?"
Xiao Xue was his ex-girlfriend. They broke up after he got into debt. Despite his faults, he didn’t want to drag her down. Since he couldn’t bring her happiness, he left on his own accord.
A while back, he got several hundred thousand from He Sirui and imdiately sought out his ex-girlfriend. When she was with him before, she never had good days. Now that he had money, he wanted to give her a taste of a rich life.
Xiao Xue advised him to use so of the money to pay off the debt, so they could start afresh.

He spent a few cozy days with his girlfriend and then went back to the casino, only to lose everything again.
Chen Ming had no face to et his girlfriend again, never expecting these bastards would harass Xiao Xue.
Xiao Xue cried her heart out, and Chen Ming went mad. "What did you do to her?"
Two n held him down and beat him. "What right do you have to speak? Did we give you permission to talk?"

Chen Ming’s face felt like it was on fire; he had no dignity left.
If he had listened and used the money to pay off his debt, he wouldn’t have ended up like this, dragging her down as well.
He endured the beating without screaming; he could take a hit.
The leader barked at his n, "Hitting so lightly, are you hungry?"
The hench man, following the boss’s order, picked up an iron pipe from the ground and was about to swing it when Xiao Xue scread, "Stop! Chen Ming, you can’t die, I’m pregnant with your child!"
Chen Ming’s mind buzzed. He was going to be a father?
"Stop!" He shouted with all his strength. The thugs paused, waiting for his last words.
Chen Ming wiped the blood off his mouth and spoke with difficulty, "I will pay back the money the day after tomorrow, I promise!"
The leader gave a signal to his n. The thug put down the pipe, and the leader said, "Fine, we’ll take care of this chick for two days. If we don’t see the money, it’ll be two lives for one debt."
The group took Xiao Xue and walked away. Her cries grew more distant. Chen Ming wanted to chase after them, but he didn’t even have the strength to stand.
He pounded the ground in frustration. Where was he going to find several million?
He couldn’t find Mrs. Gu and was at his wit’s end, so he called his sister.
