Las Vegas.
Liu Guanquan was playing golf with a few Aricans. He had just discussed the plan for the new casino, and today he was frequently scoring points, feeling very good.
His assistant took a call from China and handed the phone to Liu Guanquan, "Boss, it’s a call from the dostic general manager."
Liu Guanquan took it and said a couple of sentences before quickly walking to the side and asking, "Gu Family wants to terminate the contract? For what reason?"
Not sure what the other side said, Liu Guanquan swung his club and knocked over a table, "To hell with their quality control. If customs can pass it, then why can’t the Gu Family? Gu Yikun is just making trouble! Do those black Africans deserve such good things? Even if every product has flaws, aren’t those black people still fighting to buy them!"
Liu Zhixia said, "Dad, the Gu Family is the client. What can we do? I want to discuss it with Gu Yikun, but I can’t get an appointnt with his secretary."
"Alright, alright, I’ll handle it."
He hung up the call and dialed another number: "Zhi Wen, what are you doing? I told you not to enter the entertainnt industry, yet you insisted on joining Wanling Entertainnt. You didn’t get any useful information from the Gu Building, and now Gu Yikun wants to terminate cooperation with our Liu Family!"
Liu Zhiwen helplessly said, "Dad, I haven’t even seen President Gu twice at the Gu Building! How about this, I will find a chance to et with the president. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll ask Qian Nuan to help arrange a eting."
Liu Guanquan said, "You have always been clever; I’ll leave this matter to you."
Liu Zhiwen, tired, said, "I’ve already told you, our products must be flawless so no one can find any faults. Don’t have too high expectations of ; President Gu shows no favor to anyone."
The reputation of their brand was increasingly deteriorating, and her dad’s distraction with the casino business was overly ambitious, which wasn’t a good thing.
Liu Zhiwen had advised her dad countless tis, but he never listened. She just feared that one day sothing big would happen.
Liu Guanquan said: "I have my own judgnt. You go find Gu Yikun first."
Liu Zhiwen said: "It’s not that easy to see President Gu. I have an appointnt today, let’s talk about this tomorrow."
She hung up the phone, angrily throwing the costics on the table everywhere. Wasn’t her sister the general manager? How could she not handle such a small matter? If the company were left to her, it would collapse sooner or later!
Having vented enough, Liu Zhiwen dressed herself up beautifully. She contacted Han Jiayi, "I arranged a eting with two producers for you; I’ll give you the restaurant address in a bit. Make sure you look your best."
Han Jiayi gratefully said, "Zhi Wen, if I can land a good role, I will never forget how you helped ."
Liu Zhiwen said, "Let’s not talk about this now; we can discuss it after you get the role." She never helped anyone without expecting sothing in return; she would definitely collect so interest in the future.
An Junxi returned to Yan City. She had been away for two years, and it seed both everything had changed and nothing had changed.
She went straight to the Gu Building. The first floor of the building was crowded with reporters. She couldn’t get in and waited for half an hour until a luxury car slowly approached, causing the reporters to get excited. "President Gu is here!"
Reporters from various dia outlets surrounded the luxury car, all wanting to get exclusive news about President Gu and You Lifen’s wedding.
An Junxi was pushed to the back of the crowd. She stood on tiptoe and saw Gu Yikun and You Lifen getting out of the car.
Gu Yikun did not assist You Lifen; she had to cling tightly to his arm. She wore a standard smile and greeted the reporters, "Thank you, everyone. We haven’t set a wedding date yet. Once we do, we will share this good news with you."
Gu Yikun did not respond. As he walked into the building, he casually glanced back, seemingly spotting a familiar figure.
He suddenly turned around, scanning the crowd, but all he saw were reporters. There was no sign of the person he wanted to see.
He laughed at himself. At this point, what was he still hoping for?
He strode inside, with security stopping the reporters at the door, leaving them disappointed and empty-handed once again.
An Junxi sat behind a pillar, sucking in a breath and rubbing her foot. If she hadn’t dodged quickly, she would have been trampled!
As the reporters gradually dispersed, An Junxi stood up. She wanted to enter the building to take a look but was stopped by security, who mistook her for a reporter. "Miss, our president does not accept interviews. This is an office area. Please do not interfere with our work."
An Junxi hadn’t seen these security guards before; they must be new.
She was afraid of drawing attention to herself, as she was still in a dangerous situation.
She borrowed soone’s phone to contact Gong Xiaoyu, "Senior, I’m back."
Gong Xiaoyu jumped up from her chair, "Jun Xi? Is that you, Jun Xi? Where have you been for more than two years!"
Gong Xiaoyu had been looking for her all this ti but could not find her. Now, suddenly receiving her call, Gong Xiaoyu was both surprised and worried, fearing sothing had happened to her.
An Junxi said, "Let’s talk in person. You can also bring Miao Yan. We will et at the restaurant on the second floor of Golden Square. Don’t tell anyone else that I’m back yet."
Gong Xiaoyu quickly packed her bag, "Okay, wait for us there. We’ll be there soon."
After hanging up, Gong Xiaoyu inford Zhang Miaoyan, "Where are you? I’m coming to get you. It’s urgent."
She didn’t explain much over the phone. Jun Xi said not to reveal the news yet, so she believed Jun Xi had her reasons.
Zhang Miaoyan was puzzled, "What’s so urgent? I have a eting in the morning; it’s hard to get away."
"It’s extrely urgent. Skip the eting. I’ll pick you up in half an hour at the Gu Family." Gong Xiaoyu insisted.
Zhang Miaoyan rarely saw Gong Xiaoyu so anxious, "Alright, let arrange my work first."
"Okay."
An Junxi arrived at the restaurant first. She took a seat in a corner. It was a place she often visited with her senior.
The manager still rembered her, "Miss An, it’s been a long ti. I thought you had been transferred to work elsewhere!"
An Junxi smiled and said, "Yes, I was out of town and just ca back."
The manager brought her a fruit plate, "Are you waiting for the other two friends? Feel free to call our waiters if you need to order."
"Sure, thank you."
An Junxi sat for a while and saw Liu Zhiwen coming out of a nearby private room. Liu Zhiwen didn’t notice the corner seat and walked straight to the restroom.
The door to the private room wasn’t fully closed, and An Junxi peeked inside. Through the gap, she saw Han Jiayi and two n sitting inside, seemingly discussing work.
She wanted to take a closer look when the door fully shut. She just felt that the two n looked familiar.
An Junxi knew that Liu Zhiwen had also entered the entertainnt industry, signing with Wanling Entertainnt. Thus, she and Han Jiayi were now colleagues, and it was not surprising for them to et people in the industry together.
She had a decent relationship with Liu Zhiwen before; this girl left a good impression on her.
Thinking it over, An Junxi got up and headed to the restroom.
