One month later.
In the cetery, Belinda Howard held a bouquet of fresh flowers, gently bending down to place them in front of the gravestone.
Looking at the familiar photo above, a trace of lancholy crossed Belinda’s face.
At her request, Audrey Jenkins was buried here—perhaps a fitting closure for the bond they once shared.
Not far away, Anthony Chambers’s brown Maybach was parked in the distance. Sitting in the driver’s seat, his expression was colder compared to Belinda’s lancholy deanor.
After paying her respects to Audrey Jenkins, Belinda walked out of the cetery and took a seat in the passenger seat.
Regarding Audrey’s death, though guilt lingered in her heart, everything seed like it had spiraled beyond her control.
From the mont Audrey ticulously sched against her, it was inevitable that Anthony wouldn’t spare her.
And she... she never imagined that the friend she had always treated sincerely would one day wish for her downfall.
Thinking about how Audrey had frad her five years ago and kidnapped her one month ago, Belinda felt a pang of sorrow. However, when she thought about Audrey now lying cold beneath the earth, all her pain, all her hatred, dissipated entirely.
Returning to the city district from the cetery, the sky was already beginning to darken.
At this mont, Belinda snapped out of her thoughts, turned her head to look out the window, and realized this wasn’t the way back to her house.
"Anthony, where are we going?"
"My house."
"..." Belinda wore an expression of doubt.
Upon arriving at Stuart Manor and stepping into the Stuart Family Living Room, Belinda was surprised to see her parents and little brother there.
"You’re back!?" As soon as she saw them, Emily Walker couldn’t help but beam with joy, eagerly waving her hand to beckon Belinda closer. "Belinda, co, sit with ."
She patted the spot beside her, gesturing for Belinda to co over.
Watching the joyous faces of the two families, Belinda still couldn’t figure out why they were so happy and furrowed her brows in confusion.
"Dad, Mom, why are you here?"
Belinda sat down, looked at her parents across from her, and asked with a puzzled expression.
Camila Walker smiled briefly, then glanced over at Emily Walker before speaking again with a small laugh. "Your aunt invited us to stay for dinner tonight, and we’re also planning tomorrow’s birthday banquet."
"Birthday banquet?"
"Yes."
Belinda lowered her gaze. Tomorrow indeed marked the birthday banquet for the three siblings of the Stuart family. Bella Stuart and her entire family were said to be coming back from overseas, making it a celebratory occasion.
"Belinda, now that you’ve graduated, have you given any thought to your future plans?" At this mont, Emily Walker couldn’t resist reaching out, holding Belinda’s hand, and gently inquiring, her tone tinged with a hint of probing.
Belinda turned her head, looking at her aunt sowhat bewildered. After contemplating for a few seconds, she finally responded, "I don’t have any particular plans, just want to study advertising planning and broaden my knowledge a little more."
"Belinda, honestly, girls don’t need to learn so much. You just need to stay at ho and be a quiet young wife."
Emily smiled as she eagerly spoke, and the mont these words were uttered, the others seated on the sofa couldn’t help but react with surprise, turning their gaze to her in a slight daze.
"Auntie, you..." Belinda looked at her aunt, still sowhat puzzled by her statent, but at the sa ti, her cheeks turned rosy with embarrassnt.
The implication of being a quiet young wife—she naturally understood the aning in her heart.
In the span of one month, her romantic relationship with Anthony Chambers was already known by both families.
